All that activity, though, hasn’t kept those pesky rumors at bay about trouble in her marriage.

That’s why we were intrigued when we found out that she just closed a big real estate deal in a posh beach city in Southern California.

She is trying to keep the transaction very secret. The images have suddenly been scrubbed from many of the sites that originally featured the property.

What’s going on? Did she purchase the property so she can quietly set up a new primary residence away from her husband?

We don’t don’t think so. Why not? Because the property isn’t just one little house. It’s big. In fact, it’s an entire compound!

We think that she is seriously expanding her business empire, and that this property is specifically for that purpose.

The property is more than one acre, it has multiple buildings, and part of it was a farm, so it’s difficult to zoom in on just one potential use. Film location? Restaurant? Organic farm? Retreat? Venue rental? Spa?

Our girl is very business savvy, so we can’t wait to see what kind of new venture lies ahead!

Actress Reese Witherspoon has splashed out $6.2 million on a compound in Malibu!

While other sites are describing it as a posh Malibu mansion, the two-acre property is rustic, and includes a farmhouse, a guest house, and a barn.

The property was previously used for film shoots, weddings, and small retreats. It will be interesting to see what Reese Witherspoon does with it!

While we did mention the word “blonde” (Legally Blonde), most of the other clues centered around “big”, “little” and “lies.”Of course, Big Little Lies is a hit HBO series. Witherspoon is one of the stars of the show and she also serves as Executive Producer.

    Clues: at first I thought it was leaning toward Gwenyth Paltrow but I don’t know of anything Gwen produces, however; there were lots of hints at “little” and “big” things which would connect to Reese’s show-Big Little Lies- of which she acts and produces. Also, she owns Dapper James clothing line. There was also talk in March of her alleged marriage troubles.

    Witherspoon… Personal issues aside, her lifestyle brand is one of the few I think is done right. She’s hit that sweet spot of accessible x celebrity, and her brand feels authentic to her roots (“Whisky in a Tea Cup”, Draper James). A compound like this reminds me of Martha Stewart… could a Martha-like show be in the works? Gardening, cooking, interior design, featuring guests who walk with her around the property as they discuss topic-of-the-week? She doesn’t seem like the spa-owner…
