[Blind Gossip] Sometimes celebrities pretend to do something for one reason when they are actually doing it for another.

This funny actress recently canceled a performance. She said that she did not feel right performing at a venue in a place where the local laws did not support her personal belief system.

The truth may be a little different.

Tickets weren’t selling. She didn’t want to play a half-empty venue, so it was better just to use this as an excuse to cancel. Now everybody is like, “Good for you!” when she was really just cancelling to keep herself from getting embarrassed by a lot of empty seats!

    If this is Tiffany Haddish I can see why.. why did David Letterman have her on ‘My Next Guest..’ on Netflix? And that ridiiiculous intro he gave her, you could tell when he finally revealed her to the audience that was there it was total disappointment even from the few who knew who she was :/

    Probably not. All sorts of folks are *publicly* claiming to boycott Georgia bc of the new “Heartbeat” bill. People are catching on that this is grandstanding and they will still film/perform there bc of the tax breaks, money already invested, etc.. Disney is the biggest lying hypocrite of all. They film in countries where not only is abortion illegal, so is homosexuality. Their diversity is bought at a cost. Just get out of politics already!

    Possibly, depends how gullible people are! Even if it was the real reason, it’s a little unfair on her fans who had actually bought tickets to see her.

    Yes, I think it was smart on her part. Also, I would be hesitant to buy a ticket for her show. I don’t think she is that funny live & after seeing what happened at her New Year’s Eve, I would think twice.
