[Blind Gossip] His strategy was always to bury the truth about himself. However, he is now shocked to find himself usurped by someone who did not!

This politician may be regretting his initial strategy. He is now huddling with his team to try to figure out if he needs to take a different tack.

He thought that there was absolutely no way he could run as an openly gay candidate, so he is shocked by the fact that Pete Buttigieg is doing so well. Now he’s missing out on all that support so he has to rethink his strategy.

So, since being gay may actually be benefiting Mayor Pete, does our candidate now think that he should state that he is also gay?

Not quite!

He can’t go “full gay” now or else he would be accused of being a liar, so he is thinking of announcing that he is bi. That way he could have a girlfriend, not worry so much about the oppo research about his past, and start courting the pro-gay support (especially the Hollywood money) that is going to Buttigieg.

This just gets crazier and crazier!

    Booker is done and buttygieg has no chance, even he is liked, so old Biden will make way for Trumps next term. Couldn’t be better. Trump doesn’t even have to strategize or really advertize. There are so many clowns running he’s just going to play with them like a cat and a mouse then zero in for the kill with old Joe. (I bet Joe secretly wants to smell Trumps hair)

    Booker. Everybody knows anyway…just come out already. Of course, now, with his professed “love” for Dawson, it does make him look like a liar. Probably bi is the best way to initially handle the situation.

    I’m not sure that’s such a good idea. The people who have been hip will be annoyed, and the general public will definitely sense something is up. I guess I could see it working in his favor but only if he doesn’t “break up” with Rosario Dawson. But no matter what he does, if he comes out, he’s gonna look like he’s riding on Pete’s coattails.

    I’d advise him to have Dawson “slip” and comment on someone he used to date in an innocuous way, like they’re all friends, but make it obvious he and Booker were once involved. Have Booker give a press conference to address the questions and confirm that he’s bi.

    I don’t think coming out as bi will help him, but then again, no one is particularly jazzed about his candidacy w/him in the closet playing straight, either. He really offers nothing new, nothing exceptional to the election, I can’t see him busting out, either way.

He has zero chance of being the nominee so it is better that he sticks with the story and then in a few years come out as gay. Most people I know think he is gay and the beard is just a pathetic move but he made it.

    I did think this was ironic that Cory Booker chose to have a fake girlfriend and Mayor Pete busted out the closet with his husband.

    People don’t understand that people like it when people are honest with them – why does he think that Trump won? He’s awful – but he is honest.

    Not sure if Mayot Peter will win but I definitely see him going the marathon – with mayvbe a vice president position.

    Cory Booker and it’s too late for that (at least for this campaign).

    The big advantage of Buttigieg is that he is honest. Nobody knew him but the fact that he was the gay major on a pretty conservative state should be a sign.

    Coming out as bi, even if it’s a lie, could help him in the future (avoid some news about his past) but right now it would be just a desperate move.

    The truth it must hurt that someone is not having any trouble with something you put that much effort to hide

    So easy. Corey Booker. The fact he is a liar about himself makes him less trustworthy. Pete is an honest guy at least. Don;t agree with most of his policy takes, but do agree with some of them. And with how he has called out some hypocrites in politics.

    Obviously Cory Booker. I think announcing he’s bi is a potential strategy… it’s risky because the accusation of hypocrisy would obviously come up, but his campaign is flopping so he should probably take the risk.

I think it will actually HURT his chances to change his stance (no pun intended!) at this point because it will show that he has lied about it all along.     Oh Corey, you have/had great potential, but lying about who you are is never a good strategy for such an important position upon which people need to believe you. Better to have been silent on the matter than do the Hollywood fake relationship thing. The party needs someone who strong and secure and honest. This isn’t 1990 where such things needed to be hidden.
