She Wants To Punish Him

[Blind Gossip] It’s a good thing that this couple is getting divorced. That ugly behavior (mostly from one side) was certainly stressful. It stressed out their children, too.

Settlements don’t necessarily lead to two happy parties, though. Especially if one party feels that they are not getting all that they deserve.

In this case, she was under the impression that she was going to get more money. A lot more.

She thinks that she deserves TWICE the $$$ that is being offered! She can’t keep him from the children so she definitely wants to punish him financially.

Given that he has made a lot more money than her and she is pinning the divorce on his bad behavior, it’s easy to understand why she thinks she deserves a lot. She’s just not going to get it.

Don’t feel too sorry for them, though. They both have enough money to last several lifetimes. And their children might be a little embarrassed about one parent’s behavior… but at least they will be able to recover from that embarrassment in a mansion with plenty of food on the table!

    Stories are that she will get $20 million cash, no spousal/child support but they’ll split kids’ expenses, and she wanted more like $50m.

    This is Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck, not the Jolie-Pitts. There was some statement in the news today today about keeping the divorce on hold while Jennifer makes sure that Ben is sticking to his sobriety. Masterful PR- people think she is caring and giving when really she’s taking a dig at Ben and holding out for more money.

    I’m on Brad’s side. I can’t stand her. She may do a lot of good things for the less fortunate, however, she can’t treat the people around her with decency. Children are not property and they certainly aren’t weapons. She’s treating them like both. What a miserable existence.

    I’m thinking Matt Lauer and his wife Annette Roque only because there have been reports he offered her $20mil as a settlement. But, I don’t know if she has an income and the blind says he earns more than her.

    Optional: she has been a full time mom to their 3 kids and married to him for 20 yrs so she deserves half of what he earned during that time.

    Optional- not on anyone’s side. They’ve both lost sight of the real issue here, which is the children. They really ought to just sit down and speak to each other rather than communicating through lawyers and newspapers. I’m sure they’re both really hurt but they need to put the children first.

Her career was thriving during Alias and a little while after it, but she ultimately had to take a back seat because someone had to stay home and look after their then-infants/toddlers while Affleck was out trying to make a comeback. Affleck had Hollywoodland, The Town, Argo, Gone Girl, Batman v Superman, Jutice League, etc. during their marriage, while she had to settle with taking “easier” mom…

    Side: Brad. He’s not perfect, but he loves his kids and I believe he was devoted to Angelina. Sadly, she’s crazy. I believe he’s the one who would set the kids straight if they got out of line, but not her, and she used that against him in the divorce. He’ll move on and she’ll be miserable.

Just curious, if she’s so crazy, and he’s such a saint, why is he still required to have supervised visitation with the children, and why did he admit to having a drinking problem? They’re both human, and they both have issues – but only one of them laid a hand on a kid…

      She is crazy. Brad is no saint and he has admitted he was wrong to hit his child. However, the supervised visitation is to help the kids become accustomed to being with Brad again. Angie has poisoned the kids against their father. Angie has been told she will lose custody if she doesn’t stop. I am concerned for those children and their relationships with both parents. Last week when I read that Angie was accusing Brad of not paying meaningful child support, I spit my water out my nose.

      No. It’s not Ben, and Jennifer. They are happily divorce. This Brad and Angelina . The kids are not embarrassed by Brad’s behavior they are embarrassed by hers.
