Yappy And Floppy

[Blind Gossip] When this yappy celebrity said that this popular band is never, ever getting back together, he sent fans into an absolute frenzy.

Well, we have some news for you: Yappy does NOT know what he is talking about!

Although it is not happening soon, they do have a contract – as a group – to perform together again. They all agreed to take time off to pursue solo careers and then come back together as a group after several years.

That being said, artists can always try to negotiate or buy their way out a contract… and we know that there is one floppy-haired band member in particular who has been working very hard to get out of his contract!

Floppy is happy to use the band name to try to sell his solo career and his career as an actor… but he is totally over the group act and definitely does not want to reunite!

Floppy’s managers and lawyers have been working for the past year to get him out of the contract. However, they have not succeeded so far.

None of the others are fighting this as hard as Floppy. While they are in various stages of reinventing themselves, none have seen a lot of solo career success thus far. Some time and distance from each other may make them more eager to give the band another go.

However, there are many factors at play here, so it is complicated. Each band member has a family, and a manager, and their own lawyers, a different financial situation, and different alternative career goals.

To sum it up, there is a contract, the deadline for the reunion is still far off, Yappy doesn’t know what he is talking about, and Floppy is working the hardest to get out of the contract.

In the meantime, fans should keep the faith and hold on to the little things for comfort… like playing the best song they ever heard over and over!

    My thoughts exactly. 1D served it’s purpose: training in the music industry and a supportive environment. They auditioned for xFactor intending to be a solo artist. They have that now. They achieved their dream and had fun doing it

    Harry, Grimmy, One Direction. I’d suggest Yappy (and dear lord, he IS) does know what he’s talking about because what he’s saying is likely to have come direct from Floppy. And if Floppy wants out of his contract what Floppy wants he tends to get so…

    Any reunion is likely to be a Take That affair minus Robbie Williams. And who even knows what on earth Zayn would do. He positively hated the whole boyband aesthetic. And he’s rightly getting more love for his solo work now.

I hope this isn’t true even though it probably is, Harry is having so much success on his tours as a solo I kind of get it. I do hope that one day they reunite (without Zayn). Maybe in a few years when they’ve got all the solo stuff out of their systems they’ll be happy to reunite but I reckon it will be at least 2020 if not later.

    They will perform together again as a band, because fans will be mad at Harry if they know he’s the reason they can’t sing together.
    But clearly, 1D isn’t a priority for him, he’s doing very well in solo and with a very different music than the one he was doing with the band.
    He will sing with the band just to be nice with the fans.

    We knew this in 2014. He’s been planning his solo career since befour Zayn left.
    They aren’t getting back together. Adults knew this. Teens did not. I’m not shocked at all. Why would they go back to their first job? No one does that…unless it’s a reunion tour.

    My guess is they will reunite for an award show performance or one night only type concert in a few years but not a full blown tour. Unlike nsync or bsb, most of them are doing pretty well with their solo careers. I think Harry (my sisters fave) and Niall (my fave) have the most staying power over the long term. Zayn will be just fine as well. Louis and Liam will be the ones most eager to reunite i think
