No Fancy Wedding

[Blind Gossip] This top-selling singer and her boyfriend are definitely in love.

Because she has been married before – and because the previous marriage ended badly – you would think that she would be taking her time with this beau.

Nope!

She said a couple of months ago that they were both ready to get married. She said that they were going to elope during the summer and make an announcement afterward.

So they are definitely committed to each other but are not planning a fancy wedding.

We’ll keep an eye out for that announcement!

(And let’s hope that this time around, there isn’t any D-I-V-O-R-C-E!)

    Because D-I-V-O-R-C-E sounds like a country song and heaven knows, she’s been there and done it in way-back-when country style.

    Hubby and I eloped 16 years ago & it was the most fun and drama free day of our lives!

      Yeah, you got it! It’s gotta be Gwen… The D-I-V-O-R-C-E is in reference to her old hit Hollaback Girl where she spells out B-A-N-A-N-A-S (shout out to Gwen for being the reason everyone knows how to spell that word… I remember, back before that song, I used to always have to think about whether it was 2 or 3 N’s), at least, I think it’s a reference to that, anyway. And that has to be a clue… No other reason to spell that out.

    I’ll guess Miranda Lambert.

    We were planning the Big Wedding, and when we stopped to add up the costs, we realized we wouldn’t be able to afford a nice honeymoon. Solution? Small, destination wedding in Scotland (with 11 people) then a 3 week honeymoon in Italy and France. OMG. Best idea ever! Everyone had a great time at the wedding, and our honeymoon was incredible. I recommend it to everyone. 🙂

    I doubt this is Gwen, she is far too thirsty to have a private wedding, and Blake doesn’t seem that into the idea of marriage.
    Wouldn’t be surprised if it was Miranda, though, she seems to shun publicity.

      Since when is Gwen ‘top selling’? Not in this century anyway…Oth, a marriage would be a great promo for the second half of her Vegas gig, which is what this ‘romance’ was always about…getting back in the spotlight and cashing in.

      I thought ‘D-I-V-O-R-C-E’ was a clue too. I’ve only seen speculation as far as an engagement though. They’ve been “together” awhile too, so the idea it’d be rushed doesn’t fit. I agree w/ another poster, there’s a slim chance she’d elope considering her 2 weddings to Gavin (USA & EU), the pink gown etc. BUT maybe she’s trying to seem “down to earth” & low key to appeal to Blake? She tries SO hard to lock him down: flaunting on Insta, blatantly telling media she wants to marry him…

    Is F-E-R-G-I-E seeing someone? She’s not top selling right now though. And Gwen (L.A.MB.) is in that fake relationship with Blake I thought. I got nothing…

      This is what I thought too. She’s the first country music singer I thought of when I saw the clue of Tammy Wynette’s D-I-V-O-R-C-E.

    I had the fancy wedding. My husband got food poisoning two day before and we spent the day before the wedding in the emergency room. He was about 90% for the wedding and got really sick the next day. We were back in the ER and had to postpone our honeymoon for two days.
    I would totally advocate eloping and having a big party a few weeks later.

    Optional: Hubby and I “eloped” to our town hall and got married 9 years ago this month. No regrets at all. It’s the 2nd marriage for each of us and we had better ways to spend our money rather than using it all for a big thing. The amount of $ you spend doesn’t equate to whether a marriage will survive the test of time.

      Agreed! I had a pretty big wedding the first time, and the marriage lasted less than two years. I felt awful about the money my friends and family spent on gifts, as well as the wedding itself. When I got married the second time, we just went to city hall. It was so much less stress and I’ve never regretted it. We’re still married 10 years later. ?

      Nah, Britney has said several times she doesn’t believe in marriage anymore & that her marriage to kfed is her biggest regret… and who can blame her.
