Noisy Money

[Blind Gossip] This man has always been very private about his finances. As a famous film actor and businessman, you knew that he was very rich, but he never talked about money.

So when an old story about his generosity suddenly surfaced, a publicist (not his) was immediately suspicious. Here’s what they found out:

Since his best friend told the story, you know that he couldn’t do it without [The Actor’s] permission. I found out that’s not exactly the way it happened.

[The Actor] actually ASKED [The Best Friend] to publicly tell the story!

Like all people, celebrities have patterns. When they do something completely outside their usual pattern, you know something is going on. What he just did is definitely not “normal” for him!

He is obviously trying to create the impression that he is a kind and thoughtful person who genuinely cares about other people. He’s also saying that he is willing to pay a huge mount of money to reward loyalty. That is some very purposeful and noisy signaling! He’s trying to get ahead of something.

    as a ton of other people have already said, George Clooney/Rande Gerber. GC is my guess for the “Famous Actor Who Tried to Silence Jessica Chastain” blind so it could just be that, or he’s even more deeply connected to the entire sex abuse scandal… I would be surprised if he himself actually gets accused of something but then again with the “signal of loyalty” with the $ maybe that’s the most likely

    In Sept 2013, Clooney gives 14 million dollars to 14 of his closest MALE friends, he even pays the taxes, all for letting him flop on their couches, all 14 of them. Clooney then marries Amal in Sept 2014…seems LEGIT and not at all suspect. In this day and age I cannot imagine that he is worried about being outed, and given there was not a single female recipient, perhaps he has a few perversions or fetishes..it sounds like hush money.

    Maybe he is rewarding his friends for keeping their mouths shut all of these years about something or another.
    Whether that something is him doing something sexual that he doesn’t want to get out or just things he’s done that might ruin a future political career.
    Kinda like a “You owe me one”.

    Some shady stuff has been going on with Clooney for awhile. It will be sad to see him crumble if things go south. Although I’ve never seen the big deal about him, I’ve enjoyed him over the years.

    Just read about GC giving 14 of his friends $1.7 million each. Rande Gerber is the one who told the story. It apparently occurred 11/27/2013, a year to the day prior to his marriage.
    Time will tell if there’s anything to this.

    Clooney giving 14 friends 1mil each, the best friend was the guy he’s in a tequila business with (Rande Gerber).

    Not sure re: what might be going on, for some reason doubt that he will be the next person to drop with all of the harassment, however maybe he was complicit in covering some of it up (would not be surprised at all) and that will come out? Otherwise I would guess that it’s some shady business dealings.

    Possibly, he is a part of the misconduct/harrassment/rape issue in Hollywood? Maybe he is signalling that he would pay people to stay “loyal” and not rat him out?

      I think he paid someone off, and now he wants everyone to believe he has given cash in suitcases to people before. No big deal. Either that, or he is trying to account for the 14 mil cash payout to an accuser/blackmailer and friends agreed to say they each received 1 million to cover for him. A story is surely coming out. Unless he pays them off.

    Optional: I think it’s damage control after this whole Weinstein thing…he gave a few interviews that didn’t exactly paint him in a good light.

    Optional: me thinks Salma Hayek coming out with a damning/searing experience about her experience with Harvey Weinstein implicates GC (amongst other men in industry) knew damn well that Harvey Weinstein was a raging/raping/sadistic lunatic. Though the men mentioned cane to Salmas aide, they DID know about Harvey’s serial sex crimes against women.

      Everyone in Hollywood knew that Weinstein was rapist. They knew it. We knew it. Just about everyone have heard a Weinstein story, or knew others who have. However, knowing and having absolute proof are two different things. Without absolute proof, and victims who are willing to come forward and press charges. You have nothing. So George shouldn’t lose fans because he remain silent.

    What is going on? My first thought was he wants to run for office. Or maybe, a signal to someone they can get some designer luggage filled with $20 bills to the tune of 1 million, or maybe $14 million in 14 cases.
    I wonder – don’t these people, whether Clooney/ Trump/ Weinstein/ Simmons/Lauer et al, don’t they wonder if their behavior is maybe a tad ‘bad’ when they are paying tens of hundreds of thousands, or millions. After shelling out so much, I’d stop doing…
