Ticket Sales Are Sicker Than Her

[Blind Gossip] This singer is bowing out of multiple performances. She is claiming that she is ill.

She’s not sick (although she might do some sort of post from bed or the doctor’s office to try to “prove” she’s sick). She’s just stalling. She used to sell out stadiums, and now she can’t even sell out a 3000 seat theater! Seriously, they even closed off some of the seating at [small venue], and they still have 500 tickets available. It’s embarrassing. She’s rescheduling dates, hoping that by extending the sale deadline, the seats will sell out by then. She does not want those tickets going on Groupon!

Poor Singer. Hope you and your ticket sales recover soon!

    Mariah Carey.
    I wouldn’t go to her concert even if you paid me. Her music bores me. Sometimes it even irritates me like a persistent mosquito begging to be squished. STILL have the image of her being interviewed while she’s lying ‘seductively” ? on a couch with her huge fake boobs hanging out of her skimpy top.

    Okay, as my guess of a token $20 actually looks generous compared to the “you’d have to pay me to see her!” remarks, I should point out that I routinely pay ~$250 for artists that I actually LIKE (Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Bruce Springsteen, etc.) and would even pay more, given the right circumstances.

    That said, the $75 I paid to see/say farewell to Aretha Franklin in Philadelphia this past August was far better spent than any offering of $20 to “Mimi” could ever be…

    Someone pls tell her to stop trying to compete with others who perform semi-naked on stage. They wear it coz they actually DANCE, unlike her.

    Easy!! Mariah Carey cancels her Xmas tour. The woman is obviously a major factor has been. Céline and Madonna, on the other hand, are still able to sell millions of tickets worldwide.

    I’d pay $50 bucks to see her front-row. I decided after I saw Lady Gaga’s Monster Bash that I would only spend 1/2 that for any other show unless I knew it would surpass Gaga. Now that lady puts on a theatrical performance. I guess if I knew I could sit next to Nick Cannon — I’d up it to $95.

    Like “Mimi” in “La Boheme”, Mariah Carey is suffering from respiratory distress. Cough-cough!

    What would I pay? Well, I’ve never been a fan (her turning “Without You”, a song of personal pain, into a diva piece, always made me furious), so maybe $20, just out of curiosity.

    Mariah Carey. I did see her in concert once, did not pay a whole lot. It was a good time, mostly for her singing, but if she’s not doing a lot of that any more, why bother?

    Optional: There was a time when I would’ve spent a $100 or more on a ticket to her show but over the years her voice has gotten horrible and she can barely sing anymore. I wouldn’t pay ANYONE money to see them lip synching like she does now. Nope. So basically, I would pay nothing.

    Mariah Carey. I’ve never been a fan, so I wouldn’t pay anything. Like Whitney Houston, she has killed her own career. She’s just not as self-destructive. Her New Years Eve tantrum probably didn’t help. Also, her voice is trashed. What caused that? Too bad. Adult contemporary stars can last longer than pop stars. She could have been like Streisand, who’s also a diva, or Cher. Instead, she’s become a joke. Her own fault.

    It’s *, alas. Maybe she should either give up touring or else try to find songs to better fit her current voice. Get out of the terrible, ill-fitting and inappropriate stage costumes and get a new look. Get a good writer to give her good songs and then relaunch herself. Look at Tina Turner, she did it and man was she still s*xy as could be AND a fantastic entertainer!

    I’d pay $25 to see her. But I am not Miss Moneybags, so that plays into the decision.

      ^This. Except the $25, I feel like her concert would be a bore. I’ve heard she just stands there, sometimes wiggles around in her sausage packed mini’s. But that’s it. I can just listen to the greatest hits a home, it feels like it would be the same.

    [Optional] What is the maximum you would pay to see her in concert? Probably $0…she’s had some great songs over the years, but nothing since 2009. Plus she’s had problems with sound issues and bungled performances in recent years. I’d pass unless it was free with good seats.

    I’m thinking Katy Perry considering she’s just short of giving her tickets away and recently announced the end of her North America tour.

    I’d probably pay $30 to see her. More than that would be a waste.

    Singer: Mariah Carey

    She was supposed to do a performance on the 22nd at the Hard Rock Casino here near Cleveland. The concert venue has a 2200 person capacity and on the 14th they sent out an email saying “Great seats still available for Mariah Carey”. After reading the email I actually said to myself that I bet the show gets cancelled. And it did about 3 days after that.

    I think the cheapest tickets for it were $75 + fees if I remember correctly.
