The Dinner Check

[Blind Gossip] Earlier this week, this well-known member of the Trump administration was having dinner at a nice Italian restaurant in Washington D.C. with a half dozen other professional-looking types.

The Trump staffer picked up the dinner check for the table and had something to say about it to the other restaurant patrons on the way out.

She signed the check and yelled, “Thank you, taxpayers!” to the other guests seated in the restaurant.

    Nikki Haley!

    Saw in the news that she was ticked about being booed while out at dinner with some people and she complained about it on twitter. I could see her retaliating like that. Immature and unprofessional but….

    I think this sounds more like that Sarah Huckabee Sanders woman.

    Insulting, and I expect it was meant to be. But not surprising.

    It’s only a matter of time before the pendulum swings the other way. Hopefully not too long…

    ok whats the context of the whole story first. Sounds like the restaurant was full of snowflakes making comments during their dinner, probably about “taxpayers are paying for your dinner” etc and yes, I love that he said that! So sick of the left acting like out of control children.

    optional: she’s scary. they all are. I’m from Poland and we have similar scary-weird goverment, but there are no nuclear weapons there and we are not really important or influential.
    Americas actual goverment simply scares me.

    The Trump voters get what they paid for. 5 months of Trump and it’s scandal after debacle. LOL. Putin got what he paid for in Trump as well. Hillary’s e-mails, pale in comparison to what comes out about Trump everyday. And Mueller has just begun. I can’t wait until the results of Mueller’s investigations are in. Trump and Co. are very nervous. Putin too.?

    Hideous heinous * kellyanne. Amusing of course! And absolutely adorable! It has already been made clear, has it not, that anything goes! Doesn’t matter a hoot what they do, he really could shoot someone free range on 5th Ave and it’s all totally cool! The ones they stand to hurt the most are his most ardent supporters. They will deserve what they get, but I will still feel bad for them.

    I’m not a fan of Trump or his administration, but I laughed out loud reading that comment. There are plenty of legitimate reasons to hate the Trump administration, but I don’t think making funny, if slightly offensive, jokes is one of them.

    I think it’s pretty rude. I thought that there was a rule about how much money could be spent for lunches and dinners and upon whom it could be spent. I thought it was part of the Ethics training.

    None of the above. I mean, the *cluelessness* of saying such a thing OUT LOUD in public simply reflects the “It comes from the top” reality of most organizations & their leaders. But the act itself? Snooze. Happens EVERY day in EVERY state in these U.S. Unless the bill was $1000 per person or something, who cares?

    Not thoughtful, not amusing. It’s actually quite insulting, and not even being drunk would be a good excuse for saying something like that. He’s a PUBLIC SERVANT, and I say this as someone who voted Trump and as someone who supports the administration. I HATE it when anyone acts this way, especially someone who is in a position of power. Completely inexcusable comment.

      No. If it was Omarosa they would have roasted her in the media. Trump supports would have been outraged. I think this is KellyAnne. It sounds like someone who can get away with it.
