[Blind Gossip] Remember when singers would sell their music based on their talent?

That seems like a long time ago… especially when it comes to this popular female singer.

She’s noticed that the more she creates conflicts between herself and her exes and between herself and other female singers, the more publicity she gets and the better her music sells. It’s like she’s running her own little reality show. She just makes things up because that’s people respond to the imaginary drama. Even if one of her songs isn’t really about someone famous, she loves to hint that it is, stir the pot, and then sit back and watch the craziness on social media and in the press! It’s fun for her (and profitable).

    This isn’t Taylor. Even when she has been using that technique for years now, this is about Katy, the pic looks like Katy with her old hair and she’s cooking so that’s a hint to her Bon Appetit single and her album cover. Also she’s been talking about Taylor quite a lot, and about her exs.

    And Taylor sales, all her singles go to number one and so do her albums, whether you like her or not this is a fact. I’ve heard Katy’s been struggling with her music lately.

    Which is why I don’t bother to listen to much of the current stuff. There’s just no soul in it. I have tried to give Swift some credit since she supposedly writes her own music even if it is emotionally shallow. At least she wasn’t another prepackaged pop star but I suppose we only get one Van Morrisson, Freddie Mercury or Righteous Brothers in a lifetime.

    Katy Perry. I understand all of the Taylor guesses, but i don’t think she ever started any of the feuds some have listed. It seems more that people feud with her for publicity.

    Katy, on the other hand, has been talking about their feud on talkshows while promoting her new album. Taylor has been in hiding for quite some time.

    I’d normally go with Demi, but Katy is releasing her new album and still won’t let drop talking about Taylor Swift and giving bizarre interviews.

    I’d say Taylor Swift. But she hasn’t released anything new in a long time and she stayed out of the spotlight for a while. If it’s her, and she’s releasing a new album soon, I’d like to see her reinvent herself as a tough fighter who owns up to her power. Gotta leave it to her, if the Spotify/Katy storyline of this week showed anything, it’s that even her haters are in awe of her.

      ^DITTO^ And it’s KP who is constantly rehashing The Feud with TS. It’s getting tedious.

      However, in the world of Entertainment, feuds (fake or not) have been capitalized upon by celebrity publicists since the beginning of time, as there’s Nothing better than FREE publicity.

      Manipulative? Absolutely. But with KP’s sales numbers down, it’s likely to continue. Thank goodness there are a (very) few singers like Adele with real talent who don’t have to resort to this nonsense for $ales.

    Conflicts with Taylor Swifty; this strategy is not sustainable as it is not going to health her do more sales but plenty of interviewers will try and get her to continue being messy. She ends up looking stupid AND still can’t sell big numbers.

    This is definitely Tay-Tay. Re-releasing her back catalog of music on all of the streaming services at the exact time Katy Perry is releasing her new album. Katy has even said she would like to move on from the feud, because the initial cause is old history. But, it’s obvious that Tay-Tay will never let go until something juicier comes along.

    I would have said Katy Perry because of the “stir the pot” clue, but I think that Taylor is very much into writing about so many of her famous ex’s. Harry Styles, John Mayer, etc. It’s funny that things with the guy from Owl City didn’t work out. They both sang “Enchanted,” and he had wanted to meet her. I wonder what happened?

    Sounds like either Selena Gomez or Taylor Swift. Gomez has new music out and doing press junkets and Swift did that streaming thing. Both have also either mentioned exes or ex friends in music or interviews for attention.

    Optional: manipulative and mean, not smart because people aren’t idiots, attention doesn’t always equate to sales. Don’t know what tearing down your peers is gonna do for ur career in the long run.

      Couldn’t agree more! Taylors song “bad blood” was completely harmless and was never confirmed to be about Katy perry. The song “swish swish bish” (horrible name) references a coffin and Katy perry couldn’t wait to announce it was about T swift!! I will not be watching the new American Idol for one reason…..Katy Perry! A waste of 25 million dollars. Let’s feed the homeless instead of rewarding her pettiness……

      Agree 100%. Swift has been laying low these past few months, while Katy has been running around trying to convince people she’s “woke as fk”. Not a fan of eithet but even I have to say only one has talent…and it’s not Katy Perry.
