He Is A Hot Mess During Interviews

[Blind Gossip] This actor comes from a famous acting family.

He is currently doing some publicity for a fantasy film that is being released.

It is not going well.

His radio tour so far has been a hot mess!

He couldn’t seem to answer even the most basic questions about the movie. The hosts were completely dumbfounded.

That’s not good!

It’s obvious that he hadn’t seen the movie or even the trailer. He doesn’t know even the basics of the plot. He was just making things up in the interview.

I know he was given a full briefing about the movie, so I don’t understand how he is so unprepared.

He has battled some drug issues in the past. Is he sober?

I was told that he behaved very professionally on set and knew his lines. Everybody thought that he’d be good to go for promotion.

Obviously he wasn’t. Can you give us an example of something he said during the interview?

At one point he told [the host] that the entire world of [the movie] was CGI-ed around him.

His scenes don’t have any CGI.

Whoops!

Anything else?

He didn’t even remember who the director was. He kept referring to the director  as “he”… even though the director is a woman!

Oh, boy.

Although our actor is not as famous as his sister, he does work all the time, mostly in independent productions. He is so prolific, in fact, that he has hundreds of film and television credits to his name!

Would his famous sister – or his daughter – be shocked if they knew that he had bungled his interviews so badly?

We don’t know. However, we do imagine that his sister would just laugh her big, horsey laugh and revel in her career superiority…

    The Family Roberts with Eric being the only real actor, IMO. Nevertheless, not a one of them is appealing. The only movie Julia was in where she
    really disappeared into the role was Erin Brockovitch (Oscar!) Usually she’s always her big ol’ horsey guffawing self in her movies.

    Eric Roberts. The daughter seems unstable and sister Julia is my least favorite. Although I did like her in Mystic Pizza and Steel Magnolias. I remember her several years ago at the Oscars when she tried to hijack someone’s interview by sticking her face in the camera and grinning as if she won the award. That, and the tee shirt jab at her husband’s ex was tacky.

    Julia is, far and away, my fav. Eric definitely has talent, I think it’s his behavior that makes him somewhat of a risk for producers.

    Julia Roberts has iconic status, whether people like her or not. Not a fan of any of them personally

    Sounds like Eric Roberts isn’t doing so well, which makes me sad because he is SO talented.

    Took a look at his IMDb page though…the man has a LOT of work in the pipeline! Hope he can pull it together.

    Aw I love Eric Roberts! Maybe he has to take medication for something? And listen if you did that many movies, maybe you would bungle them together too… I love that he is always the villain in Lifetime horror movies. I think he’s great. I hope he’s ok!

    Eric Roberts — but if you go to his IMDb page, he literally has dozens and dozens of projects in post-production or filming. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was sober but couldn’t keep them all straight. Give him notes right before his interview.

    Bonus: I don’t really care about Eric or the daughter, and I won’t watch anything Julia is in. Every time I see her I remember the “Low Vera” t-shirt. She’s one of the biggest stars in the world, and she’s harassing her lover’s ex. Trashy.

    I seem to recall Julia being compared to a horse quite often over the years, so I believe that laughing her “big, horsey laugh” refers back to that comparison.

    I’ve only seen her in PW, and haven’t seen Eric or Emma at all, so I guess that as a result, she’s my favorite actor of the 3 of them. Gidde yup!

    Hints are her horse laugh, she’s a billion times more success than he is and even his daughter has surpassed his success. Oh and the similar says ‘a low singer’…like julias A Low Vera shirt.

    I used to like Julia but not so much anymore given what she is like as a woman. Emma Roberts is the only one I like from the family and I hear even she is a little nuts.

    I might be showing my age but Eric Roberts? Sister is Julia Roberts and his daughter is Emma Roberts.

    Optional: I don’t really like any of them but I’ve seen more Julia Roberts movies with Hook being my favorite. They all seem like pretty horrible people. Emma is nuts. Julia was a homewrecker when she met her husband. Eric plays good villains but isn’t he a hot mess drug wise?
