Sensitive About His Weight

[Blind Gossip] Nancy Pelosi recently made a wisecrack about Donald Trump’s weight.

House Speaker Pelosi called President Trump “morbidly obese.” That’s actually a clinical definition of a person who has a BMI (Body Mass Index) higher than 35.

We don’t know exactly how tall President Trump is or how much he weighs, so we don’t know if that is true.

However, there is a famous actor – who is approximately the same height as President Trump – who is requiring some special treatment in his projects because of his weight.

He’s put on over sixty pounds over the years and is very self-conscious about his appearance.

That’s understandable.

He wears an abdominal support garment (a mirdle) under his costume to hold his stomach in.

Also, he can never be filmed shirtless, or in any garment that can’t hide the mirdle. That’s why his character is always wearing vests and suit jackets, even if the other characters are in t-shirts.

Ah, the mirdle! We first introduced Blind Gossip readers to the mirdle many years ago (see Hunky Guy is Actually Wearing a Mirdle).

Any other special requirements?

He really prefers a CU or an MCU. He prefers to be shot from the chest up.

A CU is a Close Up and an MCU is a Medium Close Up (basically a shot from the chest up).

If it’s a longer shot, our actor seems to be behind a desk/behind a podium/sitting at a table a lot of the time to hide his torso.

President Trump, on the other hand, loves a good cowboy shot (which shows the subject from mid-thigh up) despite his weight.

So, mirdles and vests and close ups seem to help our actor resolve his self-consciousness about his avoirdupois. Hey, whatever works for him!

A couple of additional hints.

Our actor is currently the lead on a successful TV series and is over the age of 50.

He was actually considered a stone cold fox in his younger days and still has a very handsome face… so we certainly don’t mind all the close ups!

    The actor is definitely “stone cold “ Tom Selleck who starred in Jesse Stone: Stone Cold. He’s in his 70s for heaven sake and looks great!

    No clue on the actor but trump looks to be 5’-11” and close to 300 lbs. My bf is 6’-2” and lean, he does triathlons and weighs around 200 so trump is full of it. He’s obviously close if not morbidly obese. He deserves all of the weight shame considering everything he’s said about women’s looks and weight over the years. Pot, kettle, fat.

    Probably James Spader from The Blacklist. His character is always wearing suits with vests. He was considered a heartthrob back in the 80s.

    Alec Baldwin (6’0″) has done the murdle thing before. The problem is the TV show, unless it’s that game show gig. Is he still doing that, even? Would anyone call it successful?
    Michael Weatherly (6’2″) is a POS who’s never been anything but that; could totally see this as him.
    It could also beTom Selleck (6’3″). When looks have been so integral to your appeal, nobody is exempt from vanity, regardless of age. Doesn’t make him one iota…

    Not sure about the actor, but Trump is somewhere around 6 feet (there are photographs of him next to President Obama who was right at 6 feet, and Trump is shorter even with his high-heeled boots) and probably around 280-290 (I’m 245 at 5’8″ and considerably slimmer looking than Trump).

    No way he’s 6’3″ (LOL) or 243 (LOL).

    He’s tall, but not as tall as he says he is. He says he’s 6’3 but Obama, at 6’1 stands taller than him side by side, so I’m guessing Trump is 6’0. Based on his height and his frame I’m guessing he’s about 280-290lbs. If he’s indeed 6’3, then he’s definitely in the 300s. Look at basketball stars for reference, those between 6’1 and 6’3 they are all lean at 240lbs. Ours not physically possible to be that tall and that round at 240lbs!

    I’m thinking Tom Selleck. Still a Hottie. Trump is supposed to be 6-2. I’d guess 250. Listen, if Stacey Abrams is called a “Runway Supermodel” by a liberal writer, they have no place in criticizing Trump.

    I saw a picture of Obama (5ft 11 inches) next to Trump, on the steps (same step). They were the same height. Trump’s weight? I was 244lbs at 5’8″ tall, I reckon he’s at least 344.

    My first thought was Mark Harmon, but I really think this is Tommy’s Selleck, although I didn’t think he was that vain. Sooo since no one has guessed this so far I’m going to say Tim Daly from Madam Secretary. He’s still so hot to look at where he’s in the presidents office (I’ve only seen a handful of shows -but it’s good).

    Trump’s height is recorded as 6’3′ but I would say take off an inch for ageing and he is 6′ 2″. Weight? Probably around 240. He has the future of the free world on his shoulders and who is NOT putting on weight in the age of COVID 19? Maybe the Chinese as they are under constant stress from being watched 24/7 in a communist country and they eat mainly vegggies and fish from what I read.
    Alec Baldwin for the celeb. He should be able to keep his weight off as he lives with a yoga…

      I lived in Beijing as a professor. They eat different meats based on the region as well as having regional spicing. Be careful if you travel there and eat locally. Make sure you tell the server, “Bu La” (not spelled that way of course!) which means – not much heat. Unless you want to burn your mouth out, that is…

      There’s no way that he’s 240. My dad is 6’2 and has been 220-240 most of his life, Trump is at least 50 pounds heavier if not 100. If you see pics of him in side profile (and not in a suit) you can see how heavy he is.

    Alec Baldwin has a gut and needs to maintain apperances to please his yoga wife. That nasty pit bull owner Mark Harmon might have the ego necessary to wear the man Spanx. Not sure about the clues but Prez Trump is maybe 6’2 and hovering at nearly 300 lbs?

    I can’t even begin to guess Trump’s height or weight, but I will say the constant bickering, backbiting and flat out nastiness of the Democratic Party is a complete turn off. They have completely lost sight of serving the people and use their positions instead to sow seeds of discontent. I’ll get off my soapbox now.

      I think that what you said absolutely applies to the Republican party and in my opinion more so than the Democratic party. That being said, neither party is blameless and I don’t belong to either.

      I hope it’s not him. He’s 75 years old, what did he think would happen as he aged? Regardless, he’s still every bit as fine now as he was in the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s, etc..

      President Trump’s height is 6’3″ and his weight is probably 275. He looks healthy for 73, so I think he’s okay. I love that he’s let his hair go gray, but I wish he’d drop the tanner. He’s done a good job as president in spite of the hate and constant hammering from the left.

      Trump absolutely does not look healthy, he is very overweight. We shouldn’t normalize being overweight due to health issues associated with it.

    Trump: People start to shrink in their 60s and 70s, so he’s probably no more than 6 feet tall now, and although part of his current girth is probably the bullet-proof vest he’s at least 275 lbs.

      He was my guess as well. He was a “stone cold fox” back in the day and looks like he has gained about 60 pounds over the years. His hair was perfect too.

      PS: He also would be a great choice to play Trump in a movie.

      I’ve seen Trump in person. He’s probably about 6’0″ and probably about 275. He looks okay to me.
      My Dad was 6’3″ and weighed 225 but he looked bigger due his active military duty (he was one of the 1st SEAL commanders). I think our POTUS has the same issue although he’s never done the same kind of physical activity. They look about the same build – Dad was just a bit taller.

    I think this might be James Spader. Alec Baldwin would be another but he doesn’t have a TV show. Celebrity Death Match (remember that-youtube!) had an episode with William Shatner where he tears off his murdle during the match. I have never laughed so hard.

    Actor: Sounds like Alec Baldwin except for the current lead on a tv show.

    Optional: 6’1”, 340. He’s definitely morbidly obese. Even if you believed the WH physician at his last physical, he was right on the cusp, and he’s gotten way bigger since then.

    Trump is 6’3” and weighed 243 pounds at his last physical, putting his BMI below 30 (not morbidly obese). Pelosi should get her dentures fixed and worry about the economy, not Trump’s weight.

    No idea. But Trump has his real teeth and no diabetes. yet. Pelosi’s dentures interfere with speech, and her botox is not hiding the fact that she 100 yrs old. Overall, those type of comments are petty. But when you sink to calling out someone for their appearance be prepared to hear back. And Trump knows he has made such stupid comments, so his feathers don’t ruffle so easy. Her daughter is the one who oversees the voting thingso she is the one allowing illegals to vote in CA

    He has always been a stone cold fox but I don’t think he’s that heavy. The only thing that makes me think he could be is that he does Atkins commercials.

    oh gawd let it be Alec Baldwin, he is actually fatter than Trump and he wears a mirdle! sweet irony, Trump looks better. A bmi 40> is morbidly obese and Trump is 6′ 3″ so he would have to be 325lbs to meet Aunt Nancy’s medical diagnosis. Trump isn’t that big I’d say closer to 225-250lbs.

    Trump says he is 6’2” but everyone shrinks a bit with age. Let’s just say he’s 6’2”, though. He is pretty tall. He probably weighs in the upper 200s, say 275. So just barely morbidly obese, going by BMI, but not ready for Dr. Now. I really wouldn’t look at Trump and think, “there’s an obese person,” to be honest.

    I have looked up every actor I can think of who was hot back in the day and is now a bit chubby. I am not picking up on any hints so I’ll just guess Matt LeBlanc.

    So, the actor is Tom Selleck, which makes me sad that he feels so self-conscious about his weight. He’s a good man & still very attractive, IMO.

    I think it was horrible for Speaker Pelosi to try to weight-shame Trump. Weight-shaming anyone these days is unacceptable, especially when we’re supposed to be celebrating our bodies, regardless of size or shape.

    As for Trump, my guess is he is 6’2″ tall and weighs whatever he weighs. 😊

      I am guessing James Spader – the minute I read “stone cold fox”, I thought of him immediately. Coincidentally, today I showed my boyfriend a photo of James from Sex, Lies, and Videotape. He needed to see his amazing hair. Lol.
