It may be hard to see this now, but he used to be a totally different guy. Very confident, lots of friends, knew who he was.

What happened?

She really messed with his head. She told him a few days after they met that they were soul mates and that they would be happy and spend their whole lives together.

She was all over him. Then she would pull away and say she wasn’t sure and he would be really confused and go chasing after her.

That does sound confusing. What is their status as a couple?

She tries to make it seem in social media and in publicity leaks that their marriage is great and that they have made all their decisions together as a couple, but that’s not true at all.

Who is leading?

She makes every decision and convinces him to go along. I don’t even know how she does it. She has this weird power over him where he says and does really stupid things just to hold onto her. He’s being totally manipulated, but he doesn’t even see it.

She is calling all the shots, including where they live and what they say about their marriage.

So, when is she going to let him go?

Not yet. They are legally married and she is still looking to advance her career.

She somehow manages to make him believe that their marriage is better and he will be happier if he just goes along and wants the same things she wants.

What does she want?

She wants movies but she will probably wind up on another TV show. She wants to make a ton of money. He doesn’t really have a job so it’s all about what she wants.

He’s just following her lead like a puppy dog. Like I said, she is manipulative.

They are getting divorced!

Your friends at Blind Gossip told you back in December that this relationship was all over except for the announcement (see The Bliss Is Over for details).

The couple has now formally announced their separation.

Julianne Hough, Brooks Laich split up after nearly 3 years of marriage

Television personality Julianne Hough and hockey player Brooks Laich have announced they are splitting up after nearly three years of marriage.

“We have lovingly and carefully taken the time we have needed to arrive at our decision to separate,” the couple said in a joint statement.

They have not been social distancing together amid the coronavirus pandemic.

“They continue to spend time apart and are doing their own thing,” a source told E! News earlier this month.

The whole psychological trip Julianne pulled on Brooks was interesting.

There was a lot of love-bombing in the beginning. Then she waited until after they were married to completely change her mind about what she wanted. He just went along with it.

Perhaps he felt directionless after he lost his job (he was dropped by his team) and didn’t know what else to do but follow her lead?

Hough admits that as she was undergoing her personal evolution, she was fearful that Laich, an NHL player and entrepreneur, wouldn’t understand.

But Brooks Laich is a Canadian. They are such a polite people that they apologize for everything. Thus the “I’m sorry” after her shocking revelation.

Anyway, back to our story.

“I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you.’ ”

“I think there’s a safety with my husband now that I’m unpacking all of this,” continues Hough, “and there’s no fear of voicing things that I’ve been afraid to admit or that I’ve had shame or guilt about because of what I’ve been told or how I was raised.”

Julianne Hough was raised Mormon, but has spent most of the past ten years wearing tiny outfits, dating Ryan Seacrest, and then getting married to a man who thought she was straight.

They were together for five years before they got married. She couldn’t have found some time during those five years to tell him she wasn’t straight? No, she waited until after she was married to drop that little bombshell.

Then, after she made that very public announcement, she convinced her hockey-playing husband to make a number of jaw-dropping statements about his own sexuality to take some of the heat off of her.

He went right along with it, too.

A big part of my journey in 2020 is exploring my sexuality. And by that I don’t mean if I’m gay or straight. I mean, in my sexual relationship, what is my sexuality and what am I craving, and what are my desires and what are my wife’s?

I woke up as an athlete, wanted to train, wanted to eat, sleep, rest, perform. Sexuality was way below all of that for the majority of my life.

His hockey buds are cringing at the number she did on him. They need to take him out for a few Molsons and help him get his pride back.

By the way, it’s interesting that so many of you thought that this was about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry. 

The love-bombing… changing the game plan as soon as they were married… him losing his job and appearing directionless… him following his wife’s lead… her convincing him to make public statements that he’s happy about the dramatic life changes.

Huh. There certainly are a lot similarities there!

    I see Archie going to Eton. She will not fleece the Royal Family. Harry’s money is all tied up in trusts to prevent wimmin like her getting their paws on it.

    Sarah Ferguson only received half of Prince Andrew’s Naval Pension which as you can imagine is a paltry sum. Andrew also had custody of his daughters.

    Whether or not The Queen gave Sarah a stipend or a lump sum is open to question but as she didn’t have enough to buy her own home it must have been…

    She wasted like 2 million pounds renevating frogmore ( about 2 & half million u.s. dollars and a place she had no intention of ever staying) that’s several times more than most folks ever spend on their entire house including furnishings.
    She sure loves spending…. Other people’s money! Of course, she’s still going to want the lavish l.a. mansion and private jet lifestyle. And when it ends, she’ll play victim again and trash dim little harry.

    If they separate, Harry will move back to England, where he will raise Archie at the Frogmore Estate. If you are wondering the Royal Family is the legal guardian for all royal blooded children, so Harry would get custody. There is no way Megan can fight this by being in America because the State Department wouldn’t want to have an international spat with a key ally. Megan will go to the D-List quickly.

    It is hilarious that people actually believe that a B- list actress from a tv show has any real power over the Royal Family of Great Britain. Nothing is allowed without The Firm’s consent.
    Prince Andrew is in Big Trouble and things must be done to protect the RF. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex very quickly and very easily “quitting” was just the ticket to keep Andrew from being the main headline of every news outlet in the world. It’s worked very well.

    Harry rebelled against royal life for years. He loved the military, likely b/c it felt not-royal. He openly said, before Meghan, “No one wants this job”, and he took major heat for it in press. So I take with a grain of salt anyone saying she took him away from a life he loved.

    Thinking this is Julianne Hough & Brooks Laitch (though could be Duchess Difficult & Just Harry). Julianne Hough had a twisted family upbringing & it’s paying bad dividends. Tis ok to be bi; just don’t tell someone that AFTER the ink has dried on your marriage certificate. Brooks seems a naive, sad hunk who fell for a selfish witch who publically flaunts her disregard for her husband. Divorce her, Brooks, get your self respect back. Plenty of straight gals out there.

    Markle and Harry. I had the feeling from the start that there was something off about her.

    Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich (sp?) might be a fair guess too, but they are obviously not even together anymore- she’s in LA, he’s in Idaho or somewhere. Besides that, Julianne hardly needs him to improve her career, since she’s far more famous than he is whereas Markle’s fame only came from her marriage.

    She’ll eventually dump him and move on to an older millionaire/billionaire. She’ll somehow manage to keep ahold of Archie, even though HM has custodial rights to him, but really, Archie’s just for show to Megzies… a bargaining chip with the RF and a way to ensure a steady income in child support.

    My fear is that Harry will be damaged for the rest of his life and won’t be able to reestablish himself in England.

    I just don’t see any happy ending for them. She has deluding herself into thinking she has something to offer Hollywood though in the real world we know that joining, and then leaving, a royal family does not improve one’s acting skills or make a person more likeable.
    They will divorce when she feels he is no longer useful to her. I hope he survives it. 🙁

    of course she is leading the way, Harry doesn’t have a clue how to maneuver in the real world. Leave them alone. He is happy, she is happy, the press are horrible to them. Even if this relationship has an expiry date, this will be the best adventure of Harry’s life! Meagan is a worldly actress, a grown-up, a wealthy woman in her own right, let them do what they want to do. Don’t apologize, don’t go back!

    A truly loving woman would not extract her spouse from his comfort zone of family, friends and duty. She now has 1 hostage and is probably working on number 2. These will be a golden ticket to a life of extravagance and what she perceives as success. No real values just a calculating hypocritical view of the world.     This is really sad. Harry has been grabbed by a narcissist in Meghan Markle. It’s interesting to learn how a narcissist works. There’s a British researcher named Richard Grannon who speaks on this subject matter. He’s an unusual guy, but if you watch his YT videos, you’ll be fully educated on this subject. I think that Harry will be strung along for a few more years (as narcissists do) until Meghan finds someone else to feed off of. Poor Archie.

    Meghan and Harry. I used to believe this was the case and to an extent it still is. However what I now believe is that he was not what was portrayed before he met her. His true personality was just kept hidden by the royal family who were there to cover for his many missteps. And the public were there to forgive him as the little boy forced to walk behind his mothers coffin line.
    I believe he is now a willing participant and is also hoping for fame, public adulation and loads of money.

    This is what is scary to me: He said (at least once) that a flash sound takes him back to a horrible time in his life—back to when his Mom died. What does MM do? She moves to LA, where they will be photographed ALL the time, transporting him back to being a scared little boy. I’m sure she realizes this & uses it to her advantage. She comforts him while he’s feeling vulnerable and lets him know that she’s the only 1 who understands.

    It is manipulative and cruel.

    That’s too bad. She just left a TV series to marry this guy and have children and now it is not enough. I can see the marriage is not on a solid foundation .     Julianne Hough and her husband. This hasn’t seemed like a healthy relationship to me since she came out and said she’s not straight. Why would anyone say that after they got married? It’s one thing if she said she’s bisexual especially before she got married.

    Her whole narrative with her husband appears strange to me and this blind item makes sense. I feel sorry for him. Hopefully he’ll wise up soon and leave her. He might be faithful to her, but I guarantee she’s not with him.
