    I don’t know who the host is, but I have to mention the cheapest gift. My then-husband checked a book out from the library, wrapped it up, and gave it to me for Christmas. I got to keep it a whole three weeks! 😆

    And one more: The worst gift I ever got was 2 weeks after I had given birth. My ex gave me the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit edition for Valentine’s Day. So I could have some inspiration for getting back into shape (his words). Yes, he is an Ex.

    The cheapest gift I ever got was a broken plaster butterfly. I opened it up & said, “Oh no, it got broken!” The person then said, “No, I bought it that way, it was 50% off!” Geez, the person didn’t have to say anything & I would have never known. Broken or not, it was a horrible gift. I was in the 4th grade & all the other little girls in class were getting Barbie Dolls & stuff.     Just a guess, Laura Whitmore.

    The cheapest gift was Santa Claus napkin rings from a summer sidewalk sale, the cost was 5 cents each and my SIL gave me 2. The gall was, I was shopping with her when we found them, everything at that sale was junk. Imagine my surprise when I unwrapped them as my Xmas gift months later. (¬_¬)

    My grandmother once gave me a tiny toy car as a gift. She didn’t like me much. My sister was given a giant cuddly bear.

      Every year grandmother always gave my sister and me night gowns with extremely scratchy seams, so you couldn’t actually wear them, but always gave her grandsons great gifts. So I can relate to you, Missgee66.

      Exactly!! Lots of time involved too. Especially today. I sat through 2 years of listening to a subordinate’s wedding planning and was exhausted when it was over. It seemed like every weekend there was some event including not one but 3 bachelorette trips fully funded by the participants. Plus her hubby went on a guys week in south america fully paid for by groomsmen! (Heard they chose the destination because the drugs and brothels were cheap. I’m sure penicillin was involved back home

    Optional – My first real boyfriend was really mean. I can remember one “present” that he got me – a selection of some of the oldest most scratched 45 singles (I’m showing my age here) that I have ever seen. I kid you not. Believe it or not, we went out with each other for 5 years!

    One Christmas someone gave me “flashlight”

    One of those they give away for free at the mall, etc.

    It was weird because the person had given me other gifts – but the flashlight was also thrown in – gift wrapped and all.

    It broke as soon as I turned it on.

    Cheapest gift: hmmmm, that’s a toughie. I guess it was the year that my ex-husband gave me nothing for Valentine’s Day, while saying he wished he could have bought me a little doll. I wasn’t mean about it but I was disappointed that he didn’t get me a few flowers or a small box of candy. You know, that stuff means a lot to you when you are young and wanting romance in your life.
