[Blind Gossip] There is a rumor going around that this engaged actress was one of the top choices for an iconic role in a long-running film franchise.

No.

I know the producers. I can assure you that she was never on any list for any role in the series. Her name never even came up!

It’s hard to say whether her people started the rumor to try to convince you that she is a much bigger star than she ever really was… or if it was just the tabloids looking for fresh material to publish about her.

Given that the film franchise has not been in the headlines for months, it is more likely that this is coming from her people.

    “Iconic Role” makes me think the scuttle was about her being Ms. Moneypenny instead of Naomie Harris versus a Bond Girl who is replaced each film.

    Having only seen her in Suits (where I’m not fond of the character she plays), I can’t picture her in such a role. And I haven’t watched a Bond movie since 3 or 4 James Bonds ago. But Bond sex kitten doesn’t sound like a demanding role for any attractive actress, once she’s outfitted in the wardrobe, hair and make-up.

    Meagan Markle’s people need to stop. She was never considered for a Bond role – I am sure we all know that.

    They need to be careful. Stay calm and get this girl married alrteady and stop with the over the top stuff.

    Take a cue from Princess Diana (on what NOT to do). Yes she was loved by the people – but it didn’t work out for her.

    This is Meghan Markle. She was supposedly up for the role of a “Bond girl”. This is all coming from her people. Do I think she was a great choice? No, she isn’t even a good choice to be a future duchess what with her past yacht girl days….did no one know she was a prostitute?

    Usually they cast a drop dead gorgeous up and comer to play the latest iconic honey. I don’t think my guesses are correct. Besides, these 2 broads ain’t all that in the looks dept.

      I agree with MM but WHY? Her PR team at this point have to realize she has no intention of acting again. Does this make her look even better she would turn DOWN being a Bond Girl to be a Duchess? Is this more for Harry’s sake?
