Turmoil In The Family

[Blind Gossip] Behind the scenes, there is turmoil within this very famous family, and family members are being forced to choose up sides!

The head of the family is quietly interviewing each family member for their opinion as to who should take over the family business.

The person who finds this the most awkward? One of the male offspring, who is being asked to choose between two other family members!

He would publicly support either, but his preference is for his brother to take over. He simply thinks he is the right choice and is up to the task.

Interestingly, his decision was partly based on the fact that he trusts his brother more than the other person.

Years ago,  someone within the family leaked stories about them in order to make himself look better. He found out who it was, and although they are still close, he never quite trusted [the leaker] again.

    Everyone guessing the Windsors is 1000% wrong. Anyone who really follows these things (which includes me, I’m embarrassed to say) knows that the queen will NEVER abdicate and would NEVER “skip over” Charles. Charles is the next king, period, end of story.

    It was said that William was just as much of a bad boy/partier than Harry but since he was the Heir William couldn’t afford to have bad press. He’s known for being a sour puss lazy guy in inner circles but to outsiders he plays the “The media killed my mum” card sympathy.

    I’m Team Trump on this one, since the only way Prince Harry could become King would be for first his grandmother, then his father and then his older brother to die. He can’t just apply for the job.

    Change my guess to the Royal Family. I’m Canadian so I’m allowed a mini-opinion? It should be Charles as he is the rightful heir, has been waiting and preparing his entire life. Charles is also intellectual and seems to truly want the best for the country. Wills is a spoiled brat. Harry is bitter. As for leaking – um, don’t they all?

    For sure the Royals. After Diana died, Prince Charles leaked negative stories about his SONS to take the heat off the hate he felt from the public at large about how he treated Diana while she was alive and also the backlash of his affair w/ Camilla.

    I will say the Trumps.

    I don’t believe this can be the Royals. There is no way they can force succession to the next generation, unless Charles would be willing to pass it over himself, and I highly doubt that is the case.

    I don’t know the difference between the Trump brothers but it’s one of them and Ivanka, the leaker being her husband. I figure, let Tweedle Dee run the family business and give Ivanka the opportunity to be on the forefront with her father. If we’re being honest, she’s much more palatable than either of her brothers.

    Guessing this is the British Royal Family. The Leaker could be any of the Queen’s sons, but I’ll say Charles given he’s first in line and he leaked stories during the Diana scandal to improve his public image.     Queen Elizabeth has been ill. Some even say she has expired, but they’re not announcing until the succession arguments is settled.     Prince Charles has been accused of leaking stories about his sons to try to improve his image. There has been talk of William taking the throne after the Queen before.

Prince Harry recommending his brother William over his father, because Prince Charles bad mouthed his mother Princess Diana during their divorce. I have reservations about any of them. I just want Queen Elizabeth to live forever, love her. Too much to ask? Lol

    this must be the royal family (?!), as the queen is said to be unwell, but i don’t understand because, for the first time in a long while, the line of succession is clear.
    would harry be made to choose allegiance between his father and his brother? would charles really have tried to make him look bad in order to boost his or his brother’s standing?? i really thought they were close. :/ (also, i don’t see how the workshy william & kate could possibly be seen to be “up to the task”)

    The blind linked to at the bottom of this one is transparently about the royal family, so this one is probably meant to be too, and the head of the household would be the queen, who has been slowing down a bit recently.     The Queen is quite ill at the moment and it doesn’t surprise me that their seriously considering who shall take over. Charles use to get a lot of bad press years ago and he would use his sons to sort out his own imagine.

    I think it should be converted to a blind trust. Trump knew he might need to do this when he first ran for the office.

    There’s no sense in whining, “This is impossible” now. If it was really impossible, you shouldn’t have run, cookie. You need to maintain at least the *appearance* of virtue. Pick a role: bazillionaire, or President, and kiss the other good-bye.

    The windsor family. Harry prefers William as the heir over their father. I thought it was a given that Charles would take over. He is by all accounts not perfect, but he seams rather intellectual with new good ideas for the monarchy.
    Time will tell I guess, and given the queen health problems, I guess sooner than later…

      Isn’t ready for what? the Monarch is basically a figurehead. And Charles was hated by his own country who chose Diana as the people’s princess. William will make folks want to keep the monarchy as someone to watch, emulate, adore.. Charles is stodgy old school dull.

      I disagree about William being ready. Charles may not be as thrilling, but Wills has been bombarded with bad press as of late about he and Kate’s seeming reluctance to work and fully embrace royal life. The head of the monarchy, while not the most powerful political force, is a soft political power. There are many daily responsibilities that aid in keeping the government functioning smoothly. I think a lot of the Diana glimmer has worn off William. One day. Just not now. Just my two cents. 🙂

      Instantly thought the royals – but couldn’t put a finger on the appropriate leak – to make the leaker look good.

      I think Charles leaked the James Hewitt story about Diana (and possibly Harry) to make his own affair with Camilla look acceptable. The only one who wins in that situation is Charles.

      Agree it’s the royals, but not sure about the offspring, i.e., who is supposed to be torn. It could be offspring Prince Harry torn between his brother Prince William and his father Prince Charles.

      It could also be either of offspring Princes Andrew or Edward torn between their brother Charles and nephew William.

      It seems possible there could be a bit of sibling rivalry between the Charles/Andrew/Edward generation. Edward’s children aren’t styled “Prince/Princess” like Charles’…

      I agree! What others who cite that Charles has been groomed his whole life for this don’t realize is that he HURTS the monarchy. He is just a figurehead now so what grooming does he have that his sons don’t as well. Charles is unpopular and no one wants Camilla. so if they are going to reinvigorate the Royals to make them relevant they need youth. Kate is another Diana too. Her being a commoner and William being adored both inject much needed new world ideas into this institution.

      I have always said that the major reason Elizabeth never “stepped down” is because of Charles, his ongoing relationship w/ Camilla and his non popular status in the UK. I knew she’d been holding out for William to wed and have the two adorable children. She is very savvy, that one!

      Originally, Diana was supposed to be the one to take them to the next level, but it’s my belief the pressure/stress as well as the Camilla affair were too much for her to take.

      Charles was never to be…

      Elizabeth will never abdicate. Never. The other European royal families do this but not the British royals, ever. This is for life for her and she takes it extremely seriously.

      She will NEVER “skip over” Charles. Never. Not. Going. To. Happen.

      She will stick to protocol, always always.

      I’d argue that Harry is the most popular Royal today. And indeed the Royal Family is beginning to wear thin with a lot of us UK folk when, despite our country going through a heavy recession and belt tightening every year, they ask for more money which they usually get. William and Kate had a lot of backlash last year as they skipped out on a lot of commitments and without wanting to sound horrible, they are both just very dull and boring people.

      I like this guess. My first thought was the Trump family, but the clues don’t all match up. If I were the Queen, I’d pass over Charles.

      She can’t make that decision, it’s the British law of succession that decided it. Charles could always abdicate, though.

      I’m curious to see if they’ll pressure Charles to abdicate. The Camilla situation is an issue, they definitely can’t give her the title of Queen given that she’s a divorcee who had an extramarital affair with the prince and was a major factor in his divorce of the Princess Diana. William and Kate are clearly the peoples’ favorite, and the crown can scarcely afford to follow up the tenure of the generally beloved Queen Elizabeth II with the tenure of a King the people don’t care for.

      I really like this guess too but then we are left with: who is leaking this current info? I can’t imagine too many of the royals leaking it, except for Charles or Camilla. But they wouldn’t t know of the conversation, would they?

      This makes way more sense. Charles has done more to embarrass the family than just about anyone else in the clan. I can’t wait to find out what those two men really think about their mother, Camilla and the whole scandal with Diana.

      I’d guess Charles gave up his right to the throne when he divorced and then remarried with Camilla. The deal was probably done then for William to take over, probably why the Queen is holding on as long as possible, giving time for William to be settled and ready for the job.

      HM the Queen has reason to bypass her son because he’s in violation of the C of E’s tenets and can’t be its head. This could be a Constitutional crisis for the monarchy and reason for its abolition.

      Unless Charles decides to abdicate or dies then he will be King even if he is considered unpopular. To be honest, William and Kate aren’t exactly well liked here either and if you asked most Brits my guess would be they would want Harry as King over both Charles and William but again, barring death or abdication that is not going to happen.

      And you’d also get a decent percentage who want no Royalty at all. Our Royal Family seem to be more popular in the US than they are here.

    Ivanka seems bright, and was described as the “Marilyn Munster of the family” 🙂

      I watched The Apprentice as a teenager and his kids made several appearances. From what I saw of them Ivanka was the only one that I actually liked. Eric and Don Jr. are way too much like their dad. Ivanka seemed to be smart without needing to act like a jerk.
      They could be completely different people now! That was just my impression of them many years ago.
