The Wedding Date

[Blind Gossip] This well-known celebrity attended a big celebrity wedding yesterday. She brought a man with her. She introduced him to everyone as “My boyfriend.”

She didn’t want to go to the wedding alone because she didn’t want people whispering behind her back about what a shame it is that she can’t find a man. He’s not really her boyfriend, though. He’s gay.

    Hey Guys, this is NOT venus. She has a boyfriend. That is who she brought. I think they broke up but I am pretty sure he is NOT gay. And anyway, I think Venus is the LAST person to worry about what you think about her social life.

    Practical for sure. I would not want to go to the biggest celebrity wedding of the year alone.

    I would say this is Venus Williams. It can be difficult to go to a wedding without a date. I went to a family wedding and wasn’t dating anyone so I went alone. A nosy aunt came up to me and said “So, you never got married.” I replied “I don’t know if I never got married, I’m not dead yet.” That shut her up and happy to say I did find a great guy and we just celebrated 23 years of marriage in September. The aunt? She’s long gone and cannot make thoughtless comments at family…

    No idea who it is, but why say he is her “boyfriend”… I have brought male friends as a date – we have worked as wingmen for each other. Weddings are target-rich environments.

    Optional: I find it both sad , and practical. Practical that she at least have a date so all those focus will not be on what went wrong on in her last relationship, and so she won’t take the focus off her sister on her wedding date. Sad because she’s reduce to lying about her love life.

    Sad or Practical? – Practical. (It’s not sad. She’ll find someone of her own eventually. It’s better that she finds the right person for her rather than rushing to marry because her younger sister is now married and a mother. Everyone has to walk their own path.)

    Venus Williams? it’s sad only if she’s gay herself, and if she is I don’t get it- Martina Navratilova was some sensation but did anyone cares nowadays?
