The Try Outs

man versus woman[Blind Gossip] This TV show is leaking rumors that they may replace a male star with a female.

They are lying.

There is ZERO chance that we will offer this job to a woman. We are just trying to keep fans excited and speculating about the “search” for a new costar, so we leak rumors that it could be this guy or that guy… or even a woman! Then we bring in a string of temporary women to “try out” for the role. They shouldn’t get their hopes up too high, cause it ain’t gonna happen! The “try outs” are fake, but it gives us something to talk about, so we’re going to do them for the whole summer.

This show was built on male/female host interaction and balance, so the permanent replacement will definitely be a man. Plus, you know that [the current female star] would NEVER allow another woman to steal her thunder!

So, the cohost tryouts are fake… but at least they will go on allll summer long!

    I enjoy Kelly’s *. I think a very pretty, sexy younger woman would really bring that out. Would make for good TV.

    I stopped watching this show after Kelly was hired. There was something about her, always leaning forward in her chair, trying to look provocative, dropping sexual innuendos in the conversation, etc. I loved Regis but just couldnt take Kelly. I wish they’d hire two new people.

    My choice for new cohost? Well, I would suggest booting her butt and bringing in TWO new hosts. Start all over.

    Anderson Cooper would be good. I just wonder now that it’s called Live with Kelly if she would share top billing with someone else, though. Her bad rep precedes her now. She needs someone with a high Q score.

    Her wearing the Freedom jacket the day straphangers left was really the final straw of petulant spoiled brattiness. They should offer job to Jerry OConnell and his wife….I saw him on wendy Williams and he was hilarious. Rebecca is a good looking version of the anorexic kelly.

    A whole new host would be fine by me. I think there are so many likable celebrities out there with the gift of gab who are not as obnoxious as Ripa.

    Hoda and Kathy Lee do great, so I don’t know why there couldn’t be 2 guys who host a morning talk show. Why not think outside the box?

    Always liked her but not so much since Michael strahan fiasco.
    She acted completely entitled and unprofessional. I don’t watch show anymore….but I still like Michael.

    “Live with Kelly.” Though if they’re planning to employ some female co-hosts over the summer, they’ll be in the minority: I’ve seen the listings for the next 3 weeks, and the guest co-hosts are exclusively male (Ryan Seacrest, Alec Baldwin, Joel McHale, Morris Chestnut, Kevin Hart, D.L. Hughley, Jerry O’Connell, Mark Consuelos, Anderson Cooper, and “Mr. Kelly,” Mark Consuelos.)

    Live with Kelly. I knew they wouldn’t hire a second woman for that show, and frankly It would be just like every other show with female co-hosts. I also sort of figured that they already know who the replacement is going to be but they want to wait until the fall to start someone new .

    I would cast a woman. I think it would be an interesting shake up. I understand that there are other female panel talk shows. But get the right chemistry it doesn’t matter if it is a male or female.

    I wish they would replace Kelly as well or just cancel. I am not watching but Read, ppl love Fred Sacage or JerryO’Connel. Should be someone with young kids, who is also on the scene . Mario Lopez would be good .

      Agreed. Get rid of Kelly and get two GUYS. Anderson Cooper with Fred Savage would be a show I would actually watch!

      I’m rooting for Fred. I’m really hoping it’s not Anderson. I like him, but since he and Kelly are friends, it’s like the same conversation over and over. . . what they did that weekend, his mom and how much Kelly likes her, where they went for dinner the night before.
