[Blind Gossip] We’ve run several blind items over the years about National Football League athletes who want to come out of the closet as gay men. So far, those attempts have been quashed. However, a Super Bowl champion is now acknowledging that not only are there many gay men in the NFL… but that some of them are bona fide superstars!
From TMZ:
Some of the biggest stars in the NFL are gay… they’re just not ready to come out publicly yet… so says Super Bowl champ-turned-LGBT activist Brendon Ayanbadejo.
Let’s face it … none of the NFL players who have come out have really been top tier guys — so we asked Brendon if we’ll ever see an openly gay man achieve that household name recognition… a la Peyton, Brady, Watt, etc.
That’s when Brendon — who’s a big deal in the LGBT community — told us those superstar guys already exist… but they just don’t feel ready to share their sexual orientation with the world.
The good news… Brendon says we’re moving in the right direction so it could happen sooner than later.

I read the ‘blind gossip’ columns regularly and viewing the ‘postings’ re: gay NFL players -it seems that there are about eight NFL stars who they believe to be gay or bi. One East Coast team claims 3 of them! Two of the ‘Stars” Ehen drafted had no relationship with a female, single and unattached. drafted
elphie says
Aaron Rodgers for 1
Grande Queso says
Obvi Aaron Rodgers, Troy Aikman.. that’s all i can think of.
Chi83 says
Of course they exist. Aaron Rodgers is definitely one. I believe Watt is too, especially in light of him being seen on a date with the thirsty Kate Hudson. Odell Beckham Jr is rumored to be one as well.
I don’t think any of these men are brave enough to come out yet. And honestly they should not have to if they don’t want to discuss their private life but they shouldn’t feel like they have to hide who they are or who they love either. I would still be a fan but I understand not everyone…
chaseboogie says
Russell Wilson, Odell Beckham is all I can think of.

Jerry Rice
Odell beckAm jr

It’s Watt!
I’ve always thought he was gay. He says he’s too focused on the game to date – until now! He’s dating Kate “Professional Beard” Hudson.
Moonpie says
J.J. Watt who is now with professional bearded, Kate Hudson.
Odell Beckham Jr is living with Drake. They have a bromance now.
Kerry Rhodes. His partner has spoke about their relationship.
Colin Kaepernick possibly.
Russell Wilson.

The NFL players are chicken SHAME ON THEM
nosykins says
Come on in, Aaron Rodgers, the water’s fine!
butdidyoudie says
Not sure if Beckham Jr. is considered a superstar but he, a grown man just moved in with Drake (rapper) another grown man as roommates. Seems suspicious…
Visha says
Odell Beckham, Aaron Rodgers, Tim Tebow etc. None of these 3 will although if some miracle happened Odell would be the first in this lineup
CyndiTx123 says
Russell Simmons –

mermaidh2 says
Aaron Rodgers, for sure. IF he ever comes out, it won’t be until his on-field career is over.
MizDubs says
Russell Wilson is gay in spite of his showmance with ciara. Wife divorced him because he was dead in the sack.
jacksonian says
I thought he divorced he because she was balling his teammate.
AnnieBaby says
Aaron Rodgers
Russell Wilson
[optional]: do not be fooled, even if they themselves want to come out the NFL wont be having any of it. why do you think they were so quick to find beards?? Although I will say Russell looks more and more uncomfortable by the day…..

Don’t know much about football but almost everyone on the interwebs seems to be in agreement that these guys are gay: Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson, Odell Beckham Jr., Colin Kaepernick, and former NFL player Tim Tebow.
Who do you think will be the first NFL superstar to come out? Aaron Rodgers, after his career is over (or when his next boyfriend outs him…..again).
Boris Legosi says
Aaron Rodgers
Jester says
Will go with Troy Aikman, Aaron Rogers, and Joe Montana for the Superstars.
Hard to say who would come out first. The older, retired ones probably would not want their legacy ‘tarnished’ by something stupid as sexual orientation, and the younger ones wouldn’t want to risk coming out with a career ahead of them.
johnnyjewel says
AARON RODGERS
JJ WATT
huntyplz says
1.russel Wilson 2. Aaron Rodgers 3. Jim watts 4. Troy aikman
Who knows they’ll all probably keep getting fake married and having test tube babies with their beards, sadly
If anybody comes out I hope it’s a true superstar like Aaron Rodgers. It would be a brave, honest and admirable thing to do. Someone like that would help destroy a lot of the gay stereotypes out there. All gay men are not drag queens but because ‘macho’gay men stay closeted this harmful stereotype persists (not that…

Superstars: Russell Wilson, Aaron Rodgers, John Elway
[Optional] Who do you think will be the first NFL superstar to come out? Certainly NOT Russell or Aaron. They both are too invested in their beards to come out now. Russell just got “engaged” to his beard, Ciara.
jacksonian says
For those of you who accuse Romo and Wilson-where do you get your info. I don’t believe either of them are gay. Sounds like the gossip of hating non fans. As for Elway, that one is hysterical. Anyone from Denver knows he has always been he biggest, filthiest, disgusting womanizing pig ever to hit the city.
Seahawks12 says
My apologies to John Elway! I always get Elway and Troy Aikman mixed up. Meant to say Troy Aikman as my 3rd guess.
I have to say, the guesses for “The Gronk” knocked the wind out of me!
stolidog says
Romo
then Rodgers
then Russell Williams
then Aaron Kapernick
cheezhead says
Nobody, sadly. The league is too big now and they won’t allow anyone to stop this cash cow.
Even if they are big stars, owners just see them as another commodity .
Aaron Rodgers, no
Russell Wilson, no
Odell beckam Jr, hell no
I Am PunkA says
Won’t be Aaron Rodgers.
Could be another player on the Packers, though.
cadaver11 says
Odell Beckham Jr. or Aaron Rodgers
augustmom says
Aaron Rodgers, Odell Beckham, Tim Tebow, Russell Wilson, Troy Aikman (ret),

Hmm.. first? I don’t have a guess. But I am confident that Aaron Rodgers is one of the ones mentioned! Possibly Russell Wilson, too.

Odell Beckham has pretty much already been outed….so he may feel most comfortable. Nobody would be surprised.

I’m pretty confidant on both of these.
Less confidant but wonder about JJ Watts
CevansLeftpec2 says
I wasn’t sure about the Gronk until I saw a news story just now about he and Odell Beckham Jr. hanging out at rapper Drake’s house. Now I agree with you 100%, lol.
basketballgrl says
It has long been rumored that Aaron Rodgers is gay. I don’t have any guesses on the others.
Dancing with Mr D says
Troy Aikman, Aaron Rodgers, Russell Wilson……only ones I can think of off the top of my head.
I also always suspected Brian Greise and Jeff Garcia.
Who will come out first? Probably not someone currently in the league.
