[Blind Gossip] Not so long ago, this superstar pro athlete’s super close relationship with his male roommate/assistant/personal trainer became a big deal.

Their friendship supposedly imploded over the athlete’s promise/failure to come out of the closet.

When the press got wind of it, the athlete quickly started dating an actress (perhaps to put rumors to rest about his sexuality), and the assistant suddenly shut up and moved away (perhaps because he was paid off to do so).

Here’s a quick update: The ex-assistant just got engaged. To a woman. And he wants to invite the athlete to the wedding. Does that mean that they are “friends” again?

Remember back in 2013, when Aaron Rodgers was accompanied to banquets and other official events by Kevin Lanflisi, the man who had been his personal assistant and roommate since 2008?

Five minutes later, a bunch of NFL players were rumored to be coming out of the closet. The rumors swirled that Aaron Rodgers was one of the NFL players who was coming out.

Another five minutes later, something went terribly wrong with the long-time Rodgers-Lanflisi relationship.

Lanflisi let loose with a string of angry and cryptic Twitter messages like “I wish you would learn to love people and use things… not the other way around,” and “Silence always comes with an expiration date.”

Another five minutes later, Lanflisi moved out of Rodgers’ house.

Another five minutes later, Aaron Rodgers started dating actress Olivia Munn.

Whew! That was an exhausting series of events packed into an incredibly short time frame!

Well, three years later, Aaron Rodger and Olivia Munn are now done as a couple.

But you may be wondering: Whatever happened to Kevin Lanflisi?

In January of 2016, we found out that Lanflisi was engaged. In fact, he married a girl named Sarah a couple of months later.

If their wedding outfits look creative, it is likely because Sarah works works as a TV costume designer. They live in Southern California.

They look incredibly happy, don’t they?

What about Aaron and Kevin? Well, we hear that they are speaking again. Rodgers didn’t go to Lanflisi’s wedding (likely because it would have created a huge uproar), but it’s nice that he is reconnecting with old friends again.

    Rodgers – so true! It just came out that he and Olivia Munn are engaged…interesting timing! That would explain why he played like such crap these past few weeks – he was stressing about all of this! As a Packer fan I’m glad he pulled it together this week though!

    Why didn’t anyone ever suspect Cam Newton? I have a very strong feeling that he will come out at some point. I’m surprised that more people don’t see it.

    The truth? The truth is I find this hard to believe. Kevin didn’t go away quietly. He kept posting tweets about Aaron up until a year ago. Super spiteful tweets. Now he’s marrying a beard? A former boyfriend who has no fame and has been media silent and off the radar for a year and is now Marrying a beard? Dang. Aaron Rodgers should freaking run for president with that kind of power and influence.

    Certainly Aaron Rodgers And Kevin Lanfisi,No Doubt Aaron’s Gay,And The Only Reason Kevin’s Marrying Her Is To Get Him Back,Even With Those Sly Digs On Social Media He Still Clearly Loves Him,And Will Even Live A Lie For Him,Aaron Deserves To Be Exposed For What He’s Done,Although I Pity Him For His Clear Inner Self Pity And Hatred Of Who He Really Is,He’d Be An Icon For Coming Out If He Chose To,Which Is The Sad Thing.

    If you look up Kevin Lanflisi and Sarah Mcarthur’s wedding registry, they registered for some pillows – one says “Mr. & Mrs.” on it and the other has a picture of a key on it, as in “lock your lips and throw away the key.” I can’t help but wonder if this is an inside joke/subtext/a cry for help? LOL

      That’s because the people who are heads of these industry are often conservative themselves, and have a skewed perception of what the average American on the street thinks. Eventually, as more Gen X’ers and Millenials replace the Baby Boomers and Greatest Generation honchos the worlds of sports and showbiz will catch up to our reality.

    Kevin Lanflisi is getting married. Maybe he is bi. Anyway he probably just wants to rub it in Aaron’s face. Aaron did Kevin grimy. I think sexuality should be a private thing if you want it to be, but you should do right by the person you love. I don’t like Aaron for this reason.
