Thank You, Veterans

November 11, 2016 Blind Gossip

veterans-day-2Dear Blinders,

Today is Veterans Day, which honors all the people who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces.

Veterans Day marks the anniversary of the end of World War I, when the Armistice with Germany went into effect. The name of the holiday was changed from Armistice Day to Veterans Day in 1954 in order to honor all the veterans of all the wars.

If you know a Veteran, call them today. Knock on their door. Ask them to tell you a story about their time in service. Thank them for their courage.

We salute our veterans!

Love, BG and Ace and the Blind Gossip Team

In the UK, today is called ‘Remberance Day’. At 11:00 – without fail – the nation observes a 2 minutes silence. It’s such a humbiling gesture and is the one time of year we reflect WW2. I just hope those that sacrificed so much for us… aren’t disappointed in what we’ve become… and the fight was worth it all.

To all our self-sacrificial heroes that have defended our great country, and still choose to do so everyday. May God bless and keep you all every step taken, anywhere. Mere “thank yous” always seem inadequate.

I’m in the Uk and I have a poppy bracelet and a poppy badge. It’s a big thank you, it’s a massive thank you, it’s a heartfelt thank you. From the soldiers that have gone before, to the soldiers now. I don’t always agree with the wars but I always support our military and their families sacrifice for us. Our country owes a huge amount to the men and women who died for us and the families left behind to pick up the pieces.
