Royal Gives Duchess Unflattering Nickname

[Daily Mirror] Meghan Markle has reportedly been given another unflattering nickname, but this time it’s from one of her in-laws.

The Duchess of Sussex has been labelled “The Degree Wife” by a senior royal, it has been claimed.

The Sunday Times also reports that the relative believes Prince Harry and Meghan’s marriage will “only last three years”.

The new claims come after Meghan was apparently nicknamed “The Difficult Duchess” by staff, while members of her own team apparently called her “Me-Gain.”

Rumours that she is difficult to work for were fuelled when three of her close team handed in their notice after just months in their roles.

Prince Charles also reportedly has an unusual nickname for his his daughter-in-law, and although it doesn’t sound particularly complimentary the meaning behind it is actually very sweet.

According to royal sources, the Prince of Wales calls Meghan “Tungsten,”because, just like the super-tough metal, she’s “tough and unbending.”

While this may not conjure up warm and fuzzy feelings, the name does come from a place of admiration.

After the original nickname rumours earlier this year many of Meghan’s friends spoke out to stand up for their pal, speaking about her kindness.

In an anonymous interview the group, who say they still speak to her daily, said she hasn’t changed describing her as “selfless” and the “best listener.”

One said: “Meg has silently sat back and endured the lies and untruths. We worry about what this is doing to her and the baby.”

Meghan and Harry married in May last year and welcomed their first child – Archie Harrison – in May.

The Duchess broke her maternity leave and made her first public appearance last weekend when she joined other members of the Royal Family for Trooping the Colour.

She smiled and waved to well-wishers on the balcony at Buckingham Palace on the special day, which marks the Queen’s official birthday.

    The only person that’s talked about from that horrible family is Meghan and Harry. The rest is nothing but a borefest of ugly horse faced people. Does anybody talks about Beatrice or the other fugly sister? No. Because nobody gies a * abou them.

    Hopefully, Meghan will get out of there while she’s still got her looks and marry a mega rich guy and live a life of luxury instead of living in a musty old castle full of dead people buried in the backyard.

    Get out, Meghan!

    IDK on marriage survival…divorce with kids in royal families would be tough – she’d have to remain in England.

      It was Meghan herself who pushend all of the other royals out into the limelight – compared to her all of them never looked better, even questionable Prince Andrew. They even seem to get along with each other much better. Before the Duchess of Sussex appeared on the scene there was talk of making the Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie disappear into the backseats of royal life. Look at them new! Heart and centre and very much appreciated at every event. Everything is done to avoid this duchess.

    Meghan faked her pregnancy. She thought the surrogate was really having a girl (hence pink themed baby shower in nyc) this story is directly from M’s overpaid/lying pr. The past two baby appearances were both two baby dolls bought from a London reborn store. Their only known birth certificate of Archie, the one shown to the public had many discrepancies to it. The one shown was not a valid health/birth document. Meghan is a con artist. Her pregnancy was a sham. The baby is not Harrys.

      Omg insane. do you REALLY think Harry would raise a child not his own? What do you think would happen with no actual baby and a fake birth certificate? this goes beyond conspiracy. You are saying she pretended to have a boy on time but is actually still pregnant and then will keep showcasing a baby who is significantly smaller than the age claimed? I have zero understanding of this.

    Duchess of Cornwall – Camilla Parker Bowles. I smell someone talking off their high horse here which is why she comes to mind.

    I hope it truly does. I for one am astounded how ruthless the public are in cutting Meaghan down. Nothing close to this was saved for the likes of Black Chyna luring in Rob Kardashian or even Heather Mills trapping Sir Paul McCartney. As for the royals, this apparent behind closed doors cattiness is vile. Give her an effing chance. Harry seems happy.

    Seems like that family has a lot of nicknames. I remember when it was rumored Zara called Kate “Princess Perfect .” I don’t know that I believe Meghan is necessarily mean, I think she just came in with a whirlwind of ideas to a family who doesn’t want change.

    Optional: Not much longer. Probably will be over by fall at the latest. It started as infatuation but never became a real love match. After the infatuation period ended there were reasons to stay together and mutual love & respect were not one of those reasons. She’ll be fine, though, as long as she pays ALL her income tax since she’s still an American citizen.

    Price Philip. He seems to be the outspoken member of the family.

    She must constantly talk about how she has a degree to be labeled that. William and Kate also have a Bachelor’s but probably don’t keep mentioning it. My best friend in uni was like this. I dropped out for a few years. In that time she earned 3 degrees and made sure I knew it! Always reminding me of her three degrees. Would find a way of inserting them into the conversation like she was superior to me.

      Hear! Hear! Harry was so needy since he was young when he lost his mom. I’d like to think Prince Andrew had something to say about Markle since he also went through a divorce from a commoner and knows the signs.

      Thank you for reminding everybody!3 marriages people!
      But I think this negativity will have the opposite effect on this couple:
      a) Harry will stick to Meghan to prove us and his family wrong
      b) Harry has always been a free spirit and clearly strives on rebellion (see point (a) above)
      c) Harry is too embarrassed to admit to his big brother that he was right (Meghan’s survival on this marriage is striving due to this fact)

      PS: I don’t believe the baby was delivered naturally by her at…

    Senior Royal: Camilla. Although she is not my fave, she has a keen eye and a sharp tongue. NOTHING gets past her.

    [Optional] How long do you think Meghan and Harry’s marriage will last? At one time I said 5-7 and 2 kids. Since it seems (per another blind) she is speeding up having another kid, I give it 3 maximum. Harry is already disillusioned. You can see it in his eyes.

    Would love to know. My guess for a senior royal is Prince Philip. Second choice for senior royal is Camilla. Since Charles is saying flattering things, maybe she wants to get a dig in.

    Hmm hard to say… Camilla perhaps? Obviously they all don’t like her so could be any of them.

    And if it lasts more than 3 years I’ll be shocked.

    I think it’s so odd Meghan looks more pregnant now than when she was supposedly pregnant… Maybe she was using a surrogate and faking the pregnancy but then really became pregnant. If so, how would they explain a second baby so fast? The other blind claims they are speeding things up. If she is pregnant for real, perhaps they’ll say it was premature from all the stress she’s under. Something seems off…

      Have you never been around a postpartum woman? It takes awhile for the uterus to go back to its original size. Plus most women are told to gain between 25 and 35 lbs for a healthy pregnancy. The uterus contraction and the weight loss isn’t going to happen in just a week or a day. It could reasonably take a year for a woman’s body to completely bounce back from a pregnancy.

    I can best picture Prince Phillip saying this, as he is never 1 to mince words. Can also imagine HRH, Queen Elizabeth saying this but not in a place where she’d be overheard. Prince Phillip’d absolutely not care if he was overheard making this comment. All of the royals, save Harried, probably agree with this timeline
    I only give it 2 more years. One in which to get pregnant & the other to give birth & bond with the younger child. I don’t think Meghan is cut out to be a royal.

    I don’t know who came up with the name but it sure is funny!
    How long will the marriage last? Until Harry wakes up and/or gets fed up or until Megain gets what she wants out of the royals. I do think Megain will try and stay as long as Harry tolerates her antics.

    From some reason this reminds me of Camilla so I’ll say her. People will say it’s Kate Middleton but it says senior which to me says it’s someone older than her.

      To state a ‘senior royal’ has nothing to do with age. It means a senior ranked royal, and thus high up in the line of succession to the throne.

    Also, those “anonymous” interview quotes are hilarious. I don’t think that anyone would actually utter them other than Markle herself.

    It could be one of many! Camilla or William, because they would probably have the most contact with her.

    I think three years is generous, 🙄 but if a second baby is being planned, three sounds more realistic. Two to three years were my original thoughts.

    A Masters degree in the UK takes four years, and a PhD is six years. I’m intrigued what the time frame for these are in America. 😉

      In the United States, these are the typical time frames:
      Associate’s degree =2 years
      Bachelor’s degree = 4 years
      Graduate degree = 2 years
      Law degree (lawyer) = 3 years
      PhD = depends on area of study
      Medical (doctor) = depends on area of study

      A fast PhD is 4 years beyond a Bachelor’s. Occasionally people will do it in 3. It often takes 5, and if you’re in a program without financial support–where you have to work on the side–it can take any amount of time.
      Sometimes people get a Master’s on the way to the PhD, sometimes they don’t. A master’s is usually 2 years, sometimes 1 if you’re speedy, and of course it can take longer.

    Kate was subjected to constant taunts from the media – and from royals and royal-adjacent friends – when she and William were dating. “…William’s friends had been lukewarm towards Kate. …they greeted her arrival at Boujis with stage whispers of ‘Doors to manual’ – a reference to her mother ­Carole’s previous career as a flight attendant …” Will and Kate were the “lazy” royals. Now they’ve got the opposite of lazy, and it’s like they’re bitter about it. How ironic.

    In England students do an undergraduate degree in 3 years – not 4 – hence the nickname.

    I think this is Prince Phillip. That man says exactly what is on his mind. The Queen is wiser I think – that is why she has lasted so long.

    I think Prince Charles would definitely admire Meghan – he has been through a lot – as she has – and he knows what that feels like.

    As to the marriage – I predict it will last – Harry is in love.

    I think that all this adversity coming from outside the marriage will bond Harry and Meghan even closer together and that they will last a good long while.

      I think you’re right. Oftentimes, though, public scrutiny does just the opposite. It’s shameful how poorly the public is treating Harry’s wife, and I wish nothing but the best for them.
