[New York Post] Which athlete at the top of his game is also playing both teams in his private life?
Sources say that the athlete is scoring with both men and women, but hasn’t let his teammates in on the secret.

[Optional] Would you guess that the percentage of gay/bisexual athletes in the three big professional sports in the U.S. (baseball, basketball, football) is higher/lower/the same as the general population?
pscheck2 says
I’m bemused by the postings on who this could be. The reason: about 3 names appear more than once in these postings, which makes it very uncomfortable for them for this ‘recognition-ha’! Watch, now: the PR teams will have them ‘dating’ some beautiful celeb; be doing the PDA thing; getting engaged and then married. This has happened in the past with other ‘suspected NFL stars when rumors started about their sexual orientation. Any bets? lol.
chaseboogie says
Klay Thompson or Draymond Green of the Warriors. They didn’t say married and Steph is so I’m going with some of the other players on the team. People already suspect O’dell so that wouldn’t surprise anyone. Maybe Cam Newton…… Okay I’m out of ideas.
cheezymoses says
Too many to name, I see everyone has already named the usual suspects.
An obvious one is Odell Beckham and JJWatt
DirtyBird284 says
Going off on a limb here, but I’m going to guess J.J. Watt because of the word choice on “playing both teams” and “scoring with….”. He’s a defensive player but plays on offense some as well and has scored multiple touchdowns on offense and defense, which is unusual for most NFL players. He also said he has a hard time finding a girlfriend. Odd to me.
triggerua says
This. He sets off my gaydar big time.
gossipzillaisback says
No idea about the athlete… actually Odell Beckham Jr. or Gronkowski sound like the most reasonable guesses above.
I believe the % is smaller than in the general population. The main 3 sports teams in the US are still a very homophobic environment – starting from HS teams all the way up to major leagues, and this definitely discourages talented gay/bi youngsters to pursue that career.
pscheck2 says
I don’t know but I’m willing to bet it’s much higher among athletes than the general public. I am a follower of gossip columns, especially, blind i. They had hints about, several high-profile NFLers, who were rumored to be dipping their toes in the other ‘pool’ and, suddenly, the PR teams have them doing the PDA thing with some classy celeb. Soon after, they get engaged and then married! (Many of you might know who I am talking about!) So, hold on there are more studs who will be…
Bootleg says
Anthony Davis. Word is people are shopping pics of him with a man.
butwhatever says
No idea who the blind is about, but I’d guess that the percentage in the top 3 pro sports might be slightly higher, because there are some closeted men who try to appear more conventionally masculine by pursuing sports, military or other stereotypical “manly man” professions.
Bootleg says
Anthony Davis from the NBA. Other sites are reporting having been shopped photos of him with a man.
IJelly says
Anthony Davis just had season ending knee surgery. That doesn’t sound like someone at the top of his game.
keenobserver says
Weirdly confidant on this one – Julian Edelman.
bostonmark says
Hope you’re right. BTW, Julian, call me! My number is . . . Worth a try.
2BEAUCOUP says
As hot and nice as can be.
The one that catches this one wins the lottery, big time!

HotTeacher88 says
Higher, especially for women’s sports
casweet says
Not Steph Curry! He is married with 2 children, very religious as well. I don’t think he’s out trolling!
chaseboogie says
Ummm…. you do know about that DL life right? And yeah, a lot of those guys are married. Not saying Steph is, but just because he’s married doesn’t mean he isn’t. And don’t even get me started with church boys lol

This^
parkland45 says
I have no idea which athlete this is but the percentage is the same as the general public.
stanton says
I think its equal. However black men are behind the times when comes to understanding homosexuality. The NFL and NBA is up to the rafters of homophobia
spoofbyrd says
The horse suggests Bronco and not Colt since top of the Game means SuperBowl and it is the most likely horsey, Peyton Manning is hardly at the top of his game and though he has baggage there has never been any AC?DC rumor about him. In fact he was known as a Poon hound in his younger days going back to UT. Could it be Von Miller ? AND no I think the pctg. is a lot lower It now has evolved to ” Don’t ASk , Don’t tell and it is Okay but don’t bring the bentness to work with you .
Lebowski says
Cristiano Ronaldo
zeebear says
Odell Beckham Jr – He’s courting Zendaya apparently.
Team – NY Giants
Lower for basketball – Rosters aren’t big + AAs are socially conservative + they love white women.
Higher for football – The game kinda invites more curiousity?
Not sure about baseball – All these dudes seem to be married to a hot blonde.
constancemedley says
I feel like a popular answer for this may be Aaron Rodgers, but I’m gonna go with Odell Beckham Jr. OBJ is a wide receiver for the New York Giants and is currently at the top of his game (just had sensational rookie and strong sophomore seasons).
and OBJ’s recently had a bunch of gay rumors/speculation swirling around him, plus I feel like a blind from the NY Post would probably be more applicable to an athlete who plays for a NY sports team/in the NY media market.
sheenalynne1 says
Russell Wilson
Mia444 says
Don’t know the athlete, but I’d guess the gay/bi ratio is about the same for males, but much higher for females (i.e., more lesbians represented in sports than in general pop). Now, if you’re asking about Hollywood, it’s probably 60/40 straight/gay. 😀
taracu says
I agree with your assessment except the actor ratios which id guess to be closer to
60/40 gay/straight
missmissy says
Have no idea.
No reason to assume it is higher. Maybe 10-15% – similar to the general population. It could be even less since people self-select into athletics. If you take into account those who would not be interested because of the bias against gay athletes, it could be substantial lower (5-8% or so). Until it becomes more acceptable, it is very difficult to really know. Folks would be *very* unlikely to report being LGBT. I think it is more acceptable for women- maybe #s there more…
MizDubs says
well russell wilson is gay.
Jaxie says
Odell Beckham Jr.
NY Football Giants
MikeInSanJose says
Only name that comes to mind is Steph Curry
I would think the percentage in sports is MUCH higher than in the general population.
Elliegurl says
Troy Aikman
Same as general population.
ldylkngb says
Aaron Rodgers / Green Bay
bostonmark says
Could be so many…but For this blind I’ll say Russell Wilson.
bostonmark says
Although something tells me that Russell Wilson is actually at the “bottom” of his game.
javajolted says
Stellar response.
MrBettyWhite says
Gronkowski
Patriots
Much higher ~~ seriously, so much gay p*rn starts off in the locker room, and stop pretending like you haven’t seen the p*rn I’m talking about, pervy …. 🙂
BosLos says
You really think it’s Gronk?!
MrBettyWhite says
oh come one now, my gaydar pings whenever he’s on my tv screen and he fits the bill. anyone could guess rodgers or wilson, but they are in bearded contracts setup by their PR teams for a more wholesome image. they’re both more likely to be exclusively gay. russell even swore off sex til marriage. aarron just gay.
on the other hand is loose cannon Gronk, partying all the time, having a good time w/ everyone along the way. he’s flying under the PR radar and definitely truly bi, which…
packerpoke says
Tom Brady Or Manning
huhwhoami says
my guess it is probably the same as the percentage of the acting community. No idea who this is though, but in this day and age it really could be anyone, there is nothing that will shock anymore. It almost feels like it should be that way, crazy times.
javajolted says
I’m not sure of the athlete and team, there are a few it could be.
In the three major sports bisexuality is higher than the general population. IF you describe bisexuality as simply a physical getting off with a member of the same sex. If you define bisexuality as having an emotional, live component, then it isn’t higher. But guys helping each other out? Definitely common.
javajolted says
*love
Moonpie says
Not him again.
% probably higher.
CevansLeftpec2 says
Also, despite the vagueness, I could name about 20+ guys from the big 3 (sports) off the top of my head that just about anyone familiar with sports would say is obviously closeted. (i.e. CR7, A. Rodgers, Kerry Rhodes, D. Jeter, Chris Bosh, Tyler Seguin, Sidney Crosby, Russel Wilson, Josh Selby… and the list goes on and on and on, lol. But you get the point).
azariah1982 says

Dwayne Wade
Same %
carnivoro says
Aaron Rodgers or Odell Beckham JR
carolinerva says
Don’t think this one is about Beckham although there have been rumors. He fell from grace after the Panthers game and scuffle with Josh Norman.
CevansLeftpec2 says
No clue who the athlete is since this blind is so vague, but I do think the percentage is about the same as the general population, meaning that there are tons of closeted gay/bisexual guys, but only about 1 or 2% admit to it/come out.
stolidog says
Steph Curry, Warriors (jk, I think). Percentage is probably the same, team sports are so gay, right?
ToadKisser says
He is definitely at the top, and this would be a giant scandal because he has such squeaky clean, family man image.
As a huge fan of the Warriors (and Steph, and his wife Ayesha), my mantra lately has been:
Please don’t pull a ‘Tiger,’ Steph.
Please don’t pull a ‘Tiger,’ Steph.
Please don’t pull a ‘Tiger,’ Steph….
