[Blind Gossip] When you see these jacked-up teeth, it’s hard to believe that this actor was once considered a major sex symbol!

When he does a film, he wears prosthetic teeth, but out in the real world he sports the natural look. So, instead of pearly whites, we are treated to a mass of yellow teeth and metal caps. That’s probably why we only rarely catch a glimpse of a fleeting smile in public.

He still commands over $10M per film, so it’s not like he’d have to blow his entire fortune on a visit to a dental clinic.

Perhaps he has a fear of dentists?

The photo (above and left) was taken when Johnny Depp and Amber Heard were in Palm Springs a couple of months ago for a film festival.

Yes, Johnny Depp’s teeth are a mess. They have been for a long time. He rarely smiles in photos. When he does, he is often wearing white, silver, or gold caps to conceal the yellow, stained, broken teeth underneath (see pics below). For formal photos, the non-capped teeth will be Photoshopped to appear white.

We gave you LOTS of clues on this one!

Most were related to Pirates of the Carribean: Jacked-up (Jack Sparrow), pearly (Black Pearl), fleeting, commands, fortune, etc.

We also threw in references to his other films: Mass, blow, enemies, and fear (Black Mass, Blow, Public Enemies, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas).

    For such an attractive guy, it’s a shame he doesn’t take care of his dental needs. I saw a movie he was in back in the 80s a little while ago and I could tell he needed work then.

    However, I think it’s possible Johnny may do that on purpose. He hated that whole ‘teen idol’ image given to him during the ’21 Jump Street’ days. Guess it still stuck with him.

    Maybe it’s my iPad but I’m not getting a photo here. You did, however, paint quite a vivid word picture and in my minds-eye I see Johnny Depp. It’s a big fear to face but do a section at a time. A good dentist will make it nearly pain free.
