We knew that she had dipped her very rich toe in the plastic surgery pool before.

However, this most recent round of plastic surgery has rendered her virtually unrecognizable!

Celebrity: Nene Leakes

The photo just above shows what Nene Leakes – from Real Housewives of Atlanta and Glee – looked like a couple of years ago.

Nene “I’m rich, bitch!” Leakes has since undergone a transformation. She has had plastic surgery (most notably on her nose), lightened her hair, and lightened her skin.

The photo in the original blind item was sent to us by email and is now published on other sites. Nene admits that the photo is of her, but accuses others of lightening it so their sites can get “clicks.”

Nene displays what she says is the original photo (left) next to the “altered” photo. Yes, the one on the right is lighter… but even in the “darker” photo she looks very different than she did just a couple of years ago!

Interestingly, just before we received the photo in the original blind item, Nene posted the below photo on her Instagram account.

Clearly, Nene likes to lighten her own photos, too!

Since Nene is also know to lighten her own photos – and is also known to send photos of herself to sites and request publication – it is difficult to us to say who manufactured this whole controversy.

Meanwhile, given the responses from our dear Blinders, Avril Lavigne, Terri Hatcher, the Olsen Twins, Hilary Duff, Nicole Richie, and Kylie Jenner are studying themselves in the mirror, thinking, “Do I really look like that? NOOooo!”

    Omg! I kinda see a bit of Nene Leakes in this photo but if it’s her, it’s downright shocking! When you mutilate yourself like this, it’s clearly a form of self-hate.

    She looked best the first season when she was new and real. While she looks good now, it’s a shame that she has felt the need to change her appearance so drastically and dramatically. Nothing wrong with a little nip and tuck, but…not trying to judge, but it seems like deep rooted insecurities have taken over.

    Holy crap! She looks nothing like her old self. She wouldn’t look bad if you had no idea who she was beforehand, but since we do know her, it’s pretty shocking. It makes me sad. She was a funny, iconic person and now she looks so fake.

    Gosh darn it, Nene Leakes. What happened in your life to resent your blackness so much?? This lady done bleached her skin, whittled her nose, snatched someone’s blonde roots to wear as her own, and God knows what else. It’s a tragedy. :-s

      Ace, what are your thoughts on why celebrities go under these drastic transformation? Is it a race thing wanting to be lighter or is it society? I would love to hear your feedback. She was such a beautiful woman before makes me sad to see her career evolve like this. Does anyone know if she has psychological problems?

      I can only wish that in this sorry world of such need, of such want, that *I* would have enough money to * away making myself into the goddess of my dreams.

      I’m certain my life would be SO much the better for a major transformation, just like this citizen’s is sure to be a delightful wonderland.
