Matt Lauer Had Affair With NBC Star

[New York Post] Disgraced “Today” anchor Matt Lauer allegedly had an affair with a famed and well-respected broadcaster, Page Six is exclusively told, representing a “clear imbalance of power.”

The woman signed a nondisclosure agreement when she left NBC.

We have agreed not to name the broadcaster at her request, but a TV source said: “Matt had influence over everyone’s career — one word and your career would be sunk. I know there was a clear imbalance of power in this woman’s relationship with Matt.”

In his new book, “Catch and Kill,” Ronan Farrow also claims Lauer repeatedly harassed a fellow on-air NBC personality, who was allegedly forced to sign a strict NDA when she left the network in 2012. It’s not clear if it’s the same woman we’ve learned about.

Farrow reports that the unnamed former NBC broadcaster claimed Lauer and another NBC exec propositioned her and made lewd comments about her during broadcasts. She said, “I was like meat on a hook … I would walk into work with a knot in my stomach. I would come home and cry.”

She alleged that when she turned the men down, she was “punished” and got fewer assignments, adding: “My career took a sharp nosedive.” Although she didn’t make a formal report to HR, she did tell colleagues. When she left, NBC forced her to sign a nondisclosure agreement that waived her right to sue and banned her from making disparaging comments about the network, the book states.

Lauer has strenuously denied any wrongdoing. His lawyers had no comment. Despite Farrow’s reporting, NBC stated that Brooke Nevils’ allegation of rape against Lauer, made in 2017, was the first time execs had heard of any wrongdoing.

NBC News president Noah Oppenheim said in a staff memo Monday that no records had been found of inappropriate messages from Lauer to the woman Farrow mentioned, and said she signed a standard NDA.

    Amy Robach. Why didn’t she make a formal complaint to HR? She was already demoted, so why would she care if she put it in writing? I am sorry she was treated that way but not putting in a formal complaint led to other women going through the same hell as she endured. She took the “higher road” and it not only got her dumped but now she had nothing in writing. You don’t play nice with sociopaths. You need to hit them where it hurts and this certainly could have hurt Lauer in his wallet.

    I agree with what the comments about Amy Robach. If you looks at his track record, she lines right up with his preferred ‘type’ that he goes after. I could never see Ann Curry going in to have an affair with him.

    Do I think he should ever be allowed to make a comeback? NO. ABSOLUTELY NO. There are a million other journalist that could be tapped and groomed to become the next big thing. Pick one of those… let this dog lie with his fleas.

    Ann Corry did not leave the Today Show in 2012. Tamron Hall left at the beginning of 2013, but had already decided in 2012. I suspect Tamron was harassed. Amy Rorbach is also possible. Don’t know enough about her. Lauer had baby with Natalie Morales, hush-hush of course

    i remember Ann Curry recoiling in controlled body language when he kissed her on the cheek goodbye. I had thought maybe Ann might not have been a good fit at the time. Now we know the truth something more sinister was going on and I believe every bit of it. I used to say time to call off the dogs with Lauer but now — No way ! Maybe there were no drugs involved but it is looking like Lauer is at the top of this creep list & he was 180 proof drunk with power .before his fall

    Ann Curry? NBC treated her very poorly and I am not at all sorry that she is at last getting her pound of flesh.

    I don’t believe that Nevils woman. I think she straight up had an affair with him
    for 2 years and then became vengeful when he ghosted her.

    No,thank you to seeing Matt Lauer back on the air. For any reason. I was a fan of his back in the 80s when he came on scene….but now,I think he should just find a hobby, count his millions, and spend time with his kids.

    I don’t know who these women can be but I am guessing Amy Robck ( spelling) is one of them. As for Matt, no way.he should have any opportunity like that again. It’s bad.enough that he’s on his daughter’s social media platform acting pervy.

    Matt Lauer should be “allowed” to come back, but I just think he will not be popular anymore. He has lost his cute boyish image, and he seems skanky, so that ends it for a lot of his female fans. Can’t look at him anymore without thinking of the specific, graphic allegation.

      Matt had a button installed on his desk so he could lock women into his office with the press of that button. That alone makes me, personally, think he is unfit to ever return to TV or anywhere where he is in contact with ANY women. I just HAD to get it off my chest and no offense meant to you whatsoever!

    The only person who left in 2012 was Ann Curry…she was punished for turning down Matt …you can tell by her reaction on her last day there..he tried to kiss her and she turned her head so it became awkward….

    For female broadcaster, I was thinking first of Natalie Morales, but then thought of Katie Couric, whose career has pretty much fizzled in recent years. For on air NBC Personality, how about Tom Brokaw, who seems like a straight shooter and would tell the real story if asked to comment. And Matt Lauer should NEVER be able to make a comeback as anything, even as dog catcher!

    Not Ann Curry. She left in 2015.

    Amy Robach NBC departure lines up with 2012. She left for ABC News, so an NDA seems like a normal event as well, if it’s her. And she worked with Lauer, so there is a connection.

    This has to be Ann Curry. It was palpable how uncomfortable and frightened she was when she was near him. Especially during the episode where she said goodbye. He is so wretchedly disgusting. He oozes Predator. He is so nasty. I never understood the draw…why NBC kept him. The show is so much better without him.
