    Even though i know James Doohan had a child at 80, I think as soon as your children are adults with their own children its time to say no to any more of your own.

    Robert DeNiro. He is following in a long, long tradition of old coots who just can’t stop impregnating women. Like they have to prove there’s still lead in the droopy old pencil. (though it says SHE is the one who wants ‘one more’. Why??)

    They should stop this horsesh*t by age 40. It is a FACT elderly sperm makes for babies with severe handicaps and autism, just as elderly women have Downs Syndrome kids.

    I’m going to guess Michael Douglas.

    I don’t care at what age people have children as long as they can take care of them properly. I know 55-year-olds who are in better shape than 30-year-olds, physically, mentally and financially. It’s better to be older and wiser than younger and stupider. IMO.

    Deniro He is the only one who has won an Oscar.

    It is selfish having a kid over 40. Also, babies born to over 40 father’s have a higher risk of mental illness and Autism.

    I don’t know who the actor is but my younger brother is 8 years younger than me. My mom was 37 and my dad was 50 when he was born. He was definitely NOT planned! However he was joy to all of us and eventually became an emergency room doctor. I’m sure some of the lives he has saved were very glad he was born. If the couple can support and love them, then to each their own.

    Don’t know about the actor, but Charlie Chaplin once famously opined that a man can have children when he’s 80. He just cannot lift them.

    So, he should stop when he can no longer lift them…

    Robert DeNiro and his wife, Grace Hightower. They had a baby via surrogate in 2011, so, if they want one more, as long as the children are cared for…after all, she is 56.

    Men are just the gasoline. Women are the car. Nothing goes anywhere, nothing gets done if you don’t have a reliable car… so the man’s age isn’t so important.

    Definitely helps if there is financial stability for the child though.

    But I think mothers are the foundation of all good things on this earth. (Yeah, I’m a little impartial.)

      Male sperm declines a lot in quality after age 40 and puts the child at much higher risk for autism, schizophrenia and many other mental illnesses. I know robert de niro is blaming vaccines for his sons autism but he was 54 when that boy was born…

    Idk who this is but that is so messed up. I dont care how rich you are, you can’t buy time. That child would be robbed of decades with his/her parents. Not to mention the health risks (ie autism) related to advanced paternal age. Personally i dont think people should have kids past 40.

    De Niro. He has several children with three different women. His oldest and youngest are well over 20 years apart.

    It seems a bit selfish to have children knowing you’re likely to sunset before they finish high school. And given his wealth, perhaps they should consider adoption or fostering before making more people.

      Thank you for saying that… too many kids need a home and if you are an older couple, rather than bringing a new life to this already overpopulated world, why not just bring an orphaned child to your house… maybe a slightly older kid who won’t need constant monitoring like an infant…

    Hmmm, not sure who this is, but I wouldn’t want to have a kid with a guy that old. Recent studies have shown that when men are past 40, their sperm quality deteriorates and there is a much higher risk of birth defects, autism, etc.

      Yes. Who wants babies from old sperm and Viagra? It is not fair to the child when their dad is too old to run and play with them.

      My father was over 50, and I had no defects, am not autistic, etc. It’s actually women who are more likely to endanger their child if they attempt to give birth after 40.

      Women are born with a certain amount of eggs in her ovaries; those eggs are there throughout her life until the last one is shed, no new ones are ever created in her lifetime once she is born. Men, otoh, produce millions of new sperm every day thought their lifetime. It’s the egg and how women treat/abuse their bodies/health overall by drug/alcohol/medication usage (because everything affects DNA), not the age of the man that determines most birth defects. SCIENCE!

      Father’s mother had kids till she was 45 and there are some dads in the mix who were 60.

      I agree with Amytyvillain. Also, it is the male and only the male that determines the sex of the child, not the woman. She xx, He is xy. If he gives off his x, it’s a girl, his y it’s a boy.

      Science has shown that old eggs and old man sperm are two of a healthy fetuses biggest threats. Old eggs fertilized by sperm from old men are much more likely to produce children with defects. And the science says the risks for defects are greater, not guaranteed. It’s worth a shot if he ain’t shooting blanks! But I don’t know why anyone would want to raise a kid. I’m child free for life. My choice.

    Thought it might be Jack Nicholson but he’s not married and Clint Eastwood is 86.

    Narrowing it down to Sylvester Stallone (69 years old) or Arnold Schwarzenegger (68 years old).

    If you’re already old enough to be a Great Grandparent, you are TOO OLD.

      This is it. He has at least two Oscars, has fathered 6 kids by 3 different women, starting in the late ’70s, and his youngest daughter is 4. Grace probably wants a sibling for her.

      I’d hardly call the 50’s the twilight years, lol. I’m 54 and I think and act just like I did in my 30’s and 40’s. It’s the mirror that has changed, not me. Although since reaching menopause, there is one difference: I don’t give a hoot about men or babies. It’s so freeing.

      This was my thought as well. He has grown-up children and I think the two with CZJ are not even teenagers so that’s a pretty big gap, too.
