House Happy Is Not

[Blind Gossip] If you watch this guy on TV, he tries really hard to come across as a very positive, upbeat fellow.

That guy with a big smile making big money from making other people house happy sure looks happy himself.

Opposite!

He is horribly depressed. Hates his job, hates his life, etc. You can’t be on a reality show if you are a downer, though, so he plasters on a big grin and pretends his life is going great now and that he loves his job. He will do whatever he has to do and say whatever he has to say to stay on the air. He needs to be a person that other people want to watch. He’ll fake it on air and do his crying and depression in private.

    Jeff Lewis is beginning to exhibit a nails down a chalkboard shrillness. All his bitterness has gone to his Pete Burns-like lips. He self destructs a bit more every time he goes on TV to do damage control. He’ll be chewing aluminum foil soon to calm himself down.

    This has to be Tarek El Moussa. There was that incident where he went off into the woods with a gun when he found out Christina was cheating on him, and then when they split for good HGTV wanted to cancel “Flip or Flop”. It must be killing him to have to work with her now, but if that’s the price he’s paying to keep the show I’m not surprised that he’s depressed. I don’t understand why they gave her a solo show; she’s not that good a designer.

    David Bromstadt with the clue being making “big money”. He’s the Lottery Dream Home host. I like him and think he’s a lovely man but as the show has progressed, he seems to have become more and more flamboyant and over the top with the hilarity, the clothes, the “look at me” personality. First season he was so relatable. Now it seems he’s desperate for attention.

    I hope he can get some help and realize he has great worth and value outside of his career.

    Op – only to be true to yourself. If it’s time to take an absence or change in career then do so. Eventually your unhappiness won’t be easy to hide even to viewers.

      I agree it is David Bromstad. My advice seek counseling and do what you need to do or take the time to help yourself.

    I think this is Tarek El Moussa. My advice is you cannot hide from yourself. Get a therapist, do some journaling, take meds if you need. You can’t just smile the pain away. It will catch up with you.

      I think I’m going to change my answer to Tarek El Moussa. Either are possible because both Jonathan and Tarek went through break ups, but Tarek was pretty unstable when his marriage fell apart, so I think it is more likely him.

      you mean tarek el moussa from flip or flop still doing the show with his blonde ex wife christina ,,,I think he is the answer….there was a blind on them a while back t5hat they HAD to keep doing the show bcause they NEEDED the money

      YES! She is so annoying! I can’t believe HGTV gave her her own show. But the clues sound like one of the Property Brothers or David Bromstad.

    Tarek El Moussa? His Instagram page is full of upbeat platitudes and statements about how happy his new life is. Seems way too forced to me.

    Optional: Get outside and spend time outdoors with nature, doing something you enjoy. It feels so good and helps to fight depression.

      He really is pushing the ‘happy life’ thing pretty hard. Bought his girlfriend of 3 months a Ferrari for her birthday, been on multiple talk shows lately bragging about introducing his gf to his ex-wife, and he exaggerates everything! He said they’d done close to 2000 shows, but it’s only 126 according to IMDb.

      He was my 1st thought bc there’s been a time, or two, when he didn’t look all that happy on their show. Never a direct-on camera shot, but waiting in the background for his turn on camera.
