The ratings (for her TV show) weren’t so hot. She needs a new story line next season, so the premise is that she’s going to “explore her sexuality” by dating men.

That’s not easy, though. Last year, her male friends didn’t really want to be on the show, so we had to “cast” (pay for) some female friends.  We’re having trouble organically finding nice, normal guys to do the dating bit on camera, so we’ve resigned ourselves to the fact that we are going to have to do the same thing here (paid casting).

    this is really sad for the transgender community. i backed her when my friends were saying she’s milking her transition for every ounce of publicity. now this. if it’s true, it’s sad to see how she’s turning this into a circus rather than helping the community/

    Caitlyn Jenner. But she isn’t attracted to men, she’s attracted to fame, money and attention. She will do anything for ratings just like the Ktrashers. The first season was about her transition and the second season will be about dating. But who would want to date this narcissistic egomaniac?? I wish Caitlyn and the Ktrashers would launch into space and stay there. And take Kanye with them!

    I was waiting for Blind Gossip to cover this! Because we all know who it is however I needed to hear whether it was a true change of heart move OR a ratings ploy. Thank goodness for you Ace because without this site I wouldn’t know what to think when it comes to these celebs!! And can I just say I’ve been a loyal fan of this site for well over 2 years (when I discovered it) and you haven’t been proven wrong yet!!     Easy one: Bruce Jenner. And stop referring to Bruce as a, “she”. He still has all of his male parts so that makes him a transvestite. And if he wants to date men, that makes him a homosexual transvestite, NOT A WOMAN! And RuPaul is better looking, too.

      While I agree this is probably about Caitlyn.. (Or Jillian Michaels…) your comments about Transgender / gender specific pronouns / transvestite are ill informed and incorrect.

      To identify as Transgender it is about recognising that your body (physicality) doesn’t match how your brain perceives who you are (male / female or other) –
      You don’t need surgery or anything else to be part of this community

      And before you ask – NO I am not trans – just care about raising understanding.

    Miss Cait may be a woman now but her tastes haven’t changed. It’s probably harder for someone who’s Trans to prefer the same sex than anything else about his or her life.

    I had a friend like this who was mad about women and considered herself to be a Lesbian in a man’s body. Nobody accepted her post-transition outside of a few very close friends, and she committed suicide rather than be without a partner forever.

    I can’t believe it took me this long to figure this out.
    Caitlyn Jenner is the athlete. During her initial transition she always said she was only attracted to women. But now is talking about dating men instead.
    I am disappointed in myself that Ace’s use of the word “athlete” threw me. I was trying to think of female athletes known to be gay who also have a TV show (as if). Of course Caitlyn was Bruce when she became perhaps the greatest Olympic athlete America has ever produced.

I side-eye that whole family unit; to them, beliefs and truths are like a rash you can work up by scratching: it’s real but utterly induced, and eventually fades away with barely a trace – and then they run a story about how they’ve healed or moved on.       Funny that you mentioned the apple when no one else has, but I think it’s referring to the adam’s apple instead, for Bruce Jenner aka Cait. Organic and the apple also somehow hints that the person in question isn’t natural

    Who knows? During the show, I believe it came up that sometimes sexual attraction changes after for transgender people after they transition.

I assume it’s an inauthentic move because all along she said she was attracted to women (and seemed quite proud, as Bruce, to announce she was “totally heterosexual”, not realizing that, once she claimed her gender identity as a woman, her preference for women would now make her a lesbian. Or, if she DOES like men now, I guess that made her inauthentic as Bruce, which is quite possible. ) Ugh, I hate the K’s and Jenners so hard.

    Trans people have a hard enough time of it as it is. Ginning up more of the dirt around the “sexuality” of trans is just abhorrent. Trans is about gender, not sex. Don’t usually feel any sympathy for the Kardashian/Jenner klan , but his children had to endure having a father transition on national tv — now possibly a sexuality change too? Have some pride, people. Fame is a hell of a drug, folks.

    It would seem that Caitlyn is attracted to any and everything that will make her money, so sure she’s attracted to men. However take money out of the equation and she’s back in the garage working on her boats.

    He told Diane Sawyer, in the interview before his transformation, that he didn’t identify with being gay and he liked women. He was married three times and has six kids, but since he has come out and reinvented himself into Caitlyn, it could very well be possible in ‘real’ life that she may want to explore the other side. But for ratings, I don’t buy it. I used to admire Bruce, but Caitlyn seems too much like a Kardashian, which I despise.

    Caitlyn Jenner…just read something about how she doesn’t see herself with a female and she’s ‘been there done that’. Do I think she’s genuinely attracted to men? Probably not considering she’s always been with women as far as we know and I’m pretty sure she said before all this that she’s always been attracted to women and that won’t change now, and I don’t think people can just change their orientation. However being a part of the Kardashian family is enough to put anyone off women…

    Caitlyn Jenner. And I really have no idea if it’s genuine. She kept many things about herself private over the years, so I don’t think it would be that unusual for her to also have been quiet about being bisexual. Then again, she is a Kardashian, and few things they do are genuine.

    I don’t know to whom Caitlyn Jenner is genuinely attracted, except for possibly herself and fame. I think if someone (Ryan Seacrest) thought there would be a rating bonanza in it for everyone, Caitlyn would start hooking up with Kris Jenner again – anything for 15 more minutes and money for this family.

      I agree with you completely. I used to feel like Caitlyn was just kind of along for the ride and didn’t give a crap about the show or the fame, but now I think she’s probably just as fame hungry as the rest of them. At least her fame (and status as a wealthy white former athlete) has helped bring trans issues to the forefront, though tbh, that’s really been happening for a few years (at least in HR…lots of really good seminars on how to create a trans inclusive environment.)

      That is very positive to hear. I feel like we have done a pretty good job in academia on the trans front, not so well on the racial/economic fronts.
