Exhausting Family

[Blind Gossip] This famous athlete/singer couple is engaged in an interesting negotiation.

She wants five or six full-family photos ops before the summer is over. He only wants to do two or three.

He is fine with the staged paparazzi shots when he is out with her, but he doesn’t like that to spill over to his family. She wants to present as one big happy family (Let’s do photos at a picnic/ the amusement park/ the zoo/ the beach!), but having her trying to control everyone and stage shots with him and the kids to try to present a certain image (Look how happy we are!) is exhausting to him.

    This definitely sounds more like Jennifer Lopez and A-Rod than David and Victoria Beckham. I don’t think that David has ever had a problem doing photo-ops with his kids, but I’m not sure that Alex’s kids have been photographed that much over the years.

    JLo & the baseball guy. At least those kids will get to see their mother for a hot minute while they’re staging the photos. When does she ever spend quality time with them?

    I loathe staged family photos since they look “staged” – completely devoid of any personality – like a group of posed mannequins with forced smiles. ugh.

    And I really hate receiving them at year’s end along with a brag sheet describing how incredibly perfect everyone’s year has been. ughX2.

    Families who like them should enjoy them in the privacy of their own space -just don’t foist them, together with purple prose recounting their self-absorption, on me. Gag.

    I despise fakery, but it’s hard to tell these days what’s real and what isn’t. So anytime I see a photo of celebs and their kids, I think of them as staged.

      Ah, got it! JLo and ARod! Why does he put up with her?

      I like them because we never did stuff like this when I was a kid and it’s comforting now to get and see them.

    I am confused by something else though – usually he likes his women VERY buff and looking like a 12 year old boy. Jlo doesn’t?

      It is because it is a phony relationship. YES he decidedly has a type. Look at his ex wife, Madonna, all the others he has dated and JLo is NOT that. They both want this for press.
