[Blind Gossip] This female celebrity was very upset that her candidate did not win yesterday!
She’s really mad [The Candidate] didn’t win. She kept saying, “That’s just not right!”
However, that does not mean that she will be discouraged from participating in political support in the future. Quite the contrary.
She’ll double down on the next one she supports.

I (obvs) am from Georgia. Abrams was great at stirring up misinformation. Kemp was enforcing the voting laws the Democratic Georgia legislature enacted in the 90s. It requires the voter rolls to be updated every odd-numbered year. The lawsuit was resolved in June 2018, so the “purge” happened in July
It takes SEVEN years of not voting to be removed, they send notice to contact the SOS office (in person or online) to confirm status. The Republican legislature enacted online voter…

I’m guessing Milano for Robert Francis O’Rourke. He can call himself what he likes but his “name” is not Beto – it’s Robert. In fact, the real person of Hispanic origin in that race was Ted Cruz, whether the Left wants to believe it or not.
What got me so riled up was the lack of support for people of non-white origin who *weren’t* on the left that were running for office like James running for Senate in MI. Where was the media on THAT or several of the other races? SMH…

It’s a major pet peeve when people are shocked their fav actor/actress/singer/celeb endorsed a democrat. Spoiler alert: most of them are big fat glittery LIBERALS and you don’t need to comment on their stuff “unfollowed because I’m voting red”
JHntr113 says
Um… All of them? Did *any* pol backed by a Hollyweirdo win? These entertainers need to go to the back ton their jobs and juggle a couple of plates or something.
TruePatriot says
LOL -you know it’s funny because I watched a video earlier that was talking about this very subject. There was literally zero that this presenter could find who had huge celebrity backing that won & he was pointing out that they hadn’t learned *anything* from the 2016 campaign that we Americans do not care what they think & are not going to listen to their advice.
It seems more folks have listened to me on my YT videos as I’ve a Master’s in PoliSci & PhD in History. Too funny!!

I hope this is Oprah and not Tay Tay (please don’t taint my love for you by doubling down on being a democratic shill!)
I’m very excited that the republicans gained seats in the senate! Unhappy that dems got the house, but they never get anything done there anyway. Pleased that florida and texas stayed red! Bummed about gavin newson, i was pulling for john cox.

The blind implies that people would think she’d be discouraged from speaking out in politics again after the loss. Oprah, Beyoncé, Alyssa Milano, etc. They’re all typically vocal on their politics. Taylor was more reluctant. She fits more than the others mentioned.
And yes, I voted. I voted Democrat and I’m actually quite optimistic about the results, wins and losses.
spaceship says
I just hope people voted for the right reasons, to better our country, not because some celeb that has an agenda, told them who to vote for! It’s scary to think that some voted just because of hatred for our President, and just following some trend! We have had enough divisiveness, anger, hatred, etc, going on in our country, and it’s time to stop all of it, and work together for the good of the country! We are living in scary times, and I’m praying that things get better, not worse! Wake up!

Of course I voted! I was particularly sad about Beto O’Rourke, but overall it was a good night for the Dems, especially in the House, and we had some historical firsts (first gay governor in Colorado, lesbian Native American rep in Kansas, youngest woman ever elected to the House in New York), so I’m satisfied, if disappointed in a few races.
PGreen says
Some AMAZING firsts. There’s a political party that fought to bring the first Muslim women to Congress, the first openly gay governor to a state, the first Native American women to Congress, and a number of “first woman to…” “first gay/lesbian to…” “first African American to…” “first Latina woman to…” hold various offices. That same party fought with vigor to get more people the ability to exercise their right to vote.
Then there’s a political party who backed and elected…

I could totally see Oprah flabbergasted and angry that some thing/place/person she endorses doesn’t prevail.
She has been off primetime tv since like 2011, she is still Oprah but isn’t so relevant. She was able to reach a way broader audience when she was on daytime tv and was at height of Oprahdom during the Obama campaign. More people listened to her back then when her opinions and views were easily accessible. A whole new generation is coming up who are only vaguely aware of…

Probably Taylor Swift. I don’t know why celebrities think that we care about who they endorse.
The candidate is the guy that ran against Marsha Blackburn.
Voted. I was happy that the GOP kept the Senate and even gained seats. That doesn’t happen often. In the first midterms of Clinton’s presidency he lost the Senate and lost about 54 seats in the House. Obama lost both the House & Senate too, losing about 63 House seats. So actually last night was a good referendum on President Trump.

Optional: most upset about prop 6 not passing in California. We already payed taxes on gas, and registration and licence fees. But our government is constantly spending beyond their means, so they were taking that money to pay for other things. It has been projected that we can end up paying 2$ in taxes for a gallon of gas by 2021. Our vehicle registion and licence fees went up as well. When is it enough? Yes, I did! Most disappointed in the governor’s race in Georgia. Stacey will ruin Georgia if she wins. A sanctuary STATE? I wouldn’t live in a state like that! Most of her votes probably came from folks trying to make ‘history.’ That is not a reason to elect someone. Just because I’m a minority or a woman is not a reason to vote for a candidate.
