He publicly says that he is sober, but he definitely is not. He tells friends that he considers himself sober because he is now “totally in control” of his drinking, and that he is “allowed” to have a drink or two once in a while if he feels like it. The “drink or two” is actually five or six, and the “once in a while” is actually every night.
