Controversial Athlete On The Move

moving-van-8[Blind Gossip] Although this controversial athlete seems unshakable, that may only be the public persona that brings him lots of attention.

He actually knows that his career is on tenuous ground, and he is getting ready to leave/get sacked (depending on how you see it). He is selling his house and preparing to move to another city. If the house sells before he has figured out where he is going next, he may take up residence with his girlfriend.

By the way, she was the biggest influence in his behavior this year, and she is the one encouraging him to lecture others on about how oppressed he really is (despite his multi-million dollar salary and his multi-million dollar house). Because of this eye-rolling hypocrisy, there are plenty of people who would like him to take a seat instead of a knee.

    Colin K . Other QB studs that are basically an extra tailback with an arm and brain are here or coming up like Jameis Winston and Cam Newton Kaepernick has peaked out. AND he knows it. He is bucking for a political career on the liberal side of the fence because he knows Al Sharpton will be gone pretty soon . Seems he is on the side that a few months ago, was in the running but is now out because of the Trump upset. It might come back if Trump is a disaster but Trump might succeed .

    Kaepernick – using his platform before he loses it makes him a hypocrite?
    Taking advantage of this visibility is not something many Black Athletes have the leisure to take. It’s a business after all. So if he is “getting ready to leave / get sacked” – then it makes sense.

    Also, you can have Money and still face prejudices and racism – they are not mutually exclusive. He’s received numerous threats on his life, so if his Girlfriend is giving him the strength to stand up, more power to…

    Kaepernick, so many clues lead to him especially the last couple of sentences

    as far as wanting him as my QB, even though my team is done, we are happy with Cam as being a starter, Kaep has proven to be a good QB so maybe on another team that is struggling but we already have greatness with Cam, winning season or not and thats all I am worried about #keeppounding

    I agree that the national anthem should be changed and he brought awareness to it. His methods might need some work.

    Before Kaepernick’s birth mother could hand him over to his adoptive parents, a glitch caused her to have to keep him for several weeks. She cared for him and then went through with the adoption as promised so he could have a better life. That had to have been excruciatingly painful.

    When she tried to reconnect with him as an adult, he blew her off. She made it clear she wasn’t looking for money but he was a jerk anyway. He acts like an entitled prince…. pffffttt move on son.

    Just because you’re a professional athlete with money and a nice home doesn’t mean you aren’t judged by your skin color, it doesn’t mean you don’t see friends and family oppressed. Just because he’s making money as an athlete doesn’t mean he hasn’t experienced or witnessed oppression.

    I think it’s Colin Kaepernick because of the line “take a seat instead of a knee.” He kneeled during the National Anthem as a sign of protest and hasn’t played because of his knee. He’s a mediocre player.

I didnt have a huge issue with the knee because I feel that is one of the things that is great about the USA – you have the freedom to express your feelings(thank you US servicemen).

    Colin Kapernick is a hypocrite for other reasons but black athletes taking a knee/publicly supporting BLM/acknowledging the oppression of minorities despite “being rich” is NO hypocritical- it’s IMPORTANT.

    Colin Kaepernick. He has a right to protest peacefully. Just because he makes good money (and that’s very likely temporary; football positions don’t last forever) doesn’t mean he hasn’t faced prejudice and can’t have convictions he wants to bring awareness to. The massive outrage at what seems to me a fairly benign form of protest, I think, just reinforces his point that there’s a lot of work to be done and discussions to be had in the US.

    Personally, I like the guy & admire him for putting himself in everyone’s bullseye. You can be wealthy & still be subject to racism. I don’t get why people don’t see that. He makes a lot of $$ because he makes a bunch of other people a whole lot more $$$$. Black people as a whole still get the short end of the stick in this country (I’m not black, by the way). Sometimes it takes someone in the public eye (and wealthy) to bring attention to that.

    Kalpernick. It doesn’t bother me at all about him sitting out the national anthem. I have a lot more to think about without getting obsessive about details on what he’s doing.

    Not sure what kind of oppression his GF was talking about, but the NFL should take care of their injured. The NFL should stop fighting disability claims in all kinds of shady ways and take the concussion reports seriously. I love football. I want them to take better care of their injured players.

    My team are the Saints of New Orleans even though I don’t live there, if he has the talent then he should be able to get on a team, I don’t believe in denying someone the right to make a living just because they have different opinions. From mine or based on their opinions in general.

When an athlete brings attention to himself (or herself) for negative antics, they create a diversion from what they are supposed to be doing, which is playing well and winning games.

      Exactly. I’ve been praying God would reveal his true heart to black folk. I didn’t think the time would come that soon, but he got busted.
      I grew up in the country. When I was young my mother would take my clothes to what some called “mountain children” (extremely poor.)
      They don’t receive any free housing nor welfare. Just donations from local people. They have 2-3 room shacks. I’ve seen pitiful oppression. * doesn’t know struggle.

      I love my country and I love the fact that we can peacefully protest. Colin exercised democracy at its finest. That said, he wasn’t a very good player and knew this was his last year which gave him license to protest in such a public and controversial manner. The protest was perfect for this specific cause.

      I respectfully disagree. Kaepernick is a very well paid, entitled entertainer who should be grateful! Frankly, he’s disrespected his nation for a cause about which he knows little (& most others too). More should research the *facts* behind BLM and the movement’s protocols. When doing so, one will find that the statistics used to bolster the movement are based mainly on eristic statistics that are manipulated to engender race division and all Colin is doing is furthering it. Shame on him!
