Christy And The Megastar Bully

[Blind Gossip] Actress Christy Carlson Romano is best known for her role in the Disney Channel sitcom Even Stevens.

She played the only girl in the family for three seasons plus a couple of movies. Yes, her costar was Shia Labeouf.

You may also know Romano as the voice of Kim Possible, another Disney property.

When she was younger, Romano attended The School of American Ballet and The Professional Children’s School (PCS) in New York.

PCS is a well-known school for children in the performing arts and boasts tons of famous alumni, including Jack Antonoff, Vanessa Carlton, Mischa Barton, Scarlett Johansson, Macaulay Culkin, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Jena Malone, Lukas Haas, Holly Maire Combs, Jerry O’Connell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Julia Stiles, Christina Ricci and many more.

Back to Romano.

When it came to college, Romano chose to go to Barnard College of Columbia University. She left after two years to take the role of Belle in Broadway’s Beauty and The Beast.

While studying at Columbia University she met Brendan Rooney. The two married and have two children together.

Now in her thirties, Christy Carlson Romano has had a prolific career, having worked on more than 100 different productions.

Although she has worked a lot, Romano claims that she lost all her money. She is now making YouTube videos and working hard to monetize that content through advertising and donations.

In one video, titled “What My Celebrity Bullies Taught Me”, Christy opens up about the trauma she experienced as a child star.

I got bullied by a lot of kids. Some of them were famous. In fact, one of my biggest bullies is a really huge star. It’s kind of weird to see them doing huge franchise movies.

Why does she think she was bullied?

A lot of people are like, ‘What do you mean you had bullies?’ I was a geeky, very nerdy, very lanky, big teeth that needed braces… theater kid. I didn’t have social skills.

She was bullied “by a bunch of show kids” when she was doing stage productions as a young child.

When she got older, it got even worse.

She was called “Bucky Beaver” because of her teeth. She was called “Triple A” because of her flat chest.

Let’s talk about the famous classmate who gave her a particularly hard time!

In high school, there was a girl who was already famous when she [enrolled at the school]. Initially when she came to school we were really good friends. Then eventually I became odd man out. I was iced out of my friendships with my friends from elementary school. Over time it became worse and worse.

Weirdly enough, that person, who is a mega megastar… I saw her out at the Chateau Marmont years later.

After some prompting, Megastar remembered Romano. They had a brief conversation. Romano did not mention the bullying that had occurred, but she walked away from the conversation feeling good and feeling a sense of closure.

I really hate bullying. I will always be that nerdy girl who wants to be cool, but I know I like myself and I don’t care as much about what everyone else is thinking.

    I just checked out her YT channel and subbed. She’s really direct, charming, honest, and intelligent. She offers insight about what it was like living and working as a kid in Hollywood, and it’s not enviable. Wish her all the best.

    It’s Jena Malone. She has been in multiple blockbusters, as well as two Hunger Games movies and Batman V Superman. Check out her filmography.

    “Stepmom” director Chris Columbus directed Macaulay Culkin in “Home Alone” and its sequel.

    ScarJo was one of the friends Jena stole from Christy.

    I can’t really guess but my mind goes to Scarlett Johansson as well. She was kind of rude to Brie Larson in an interview.

    About Chrisyy, I met her and his husband a few months ago out in Austin and they were the sweetest! So easy going and easy to talk to. Felt like we had been friends. I am definitely rooting for her

    Sarah Jessica Parker and Sarah Michelle Gellar are too old to have been in school with Christy. Also, SJP got her start in theater, not television, starring as Annie on Broadway. It’s not Hilary Duff either- when was she ever in a huge film franchise?

    Likely it’s Scarlett Johnassen. I’m not a fan of ScarJo, but Christy sounds bitter and looking for attention any way she can get it with this YouTube channel. Last week, she was bashing Shia LaBoeuf, now Scarlett.

    I don’t think it’s Scarlett Johansson because that would be way too obvious. Some other suggestions are great, but have too much of an age gap to apply: Sarah Jessica Parker, Sara Michelle Gheller, Melissa Joan Heart, and Tara Reid.

    I don’t have an actual guess myself, but (based on Wikipedia), some possibilities that range from 2yrs younger to 3yrs older than CCR are: Leighton Meester, Mischa Barton, Julia Styles, Jena Malone, and Ashley Tisdale.

    The clues suggest Scarlett Johansson. She was in Home Alone 3 so I don’t think that reference is a coincidence. And obviously there is no bigger franchise at the moment than the Avengers and the black widow movie just landed.

    I don’t know anything about this Carly woman but she sounds a little bitter. Probably just flinging some mud in hopes that the bully will try to make amends with a role in that huge franchise…she wants a slice of Scarlett Johanssons 50m dollar pie 🤣

    Guys, SJP is 56 years old – WAY to old to bully Romano, who is only in her 30’s. It has to be someone her age or within one or two years.

    Megastar Bully: I seem to remember something once about her saying Hillary Duff was really nasty to her and she and her roommate at the time had a poster of Hillary they used to throw darts at.

    CCR has a lot of issues and if she’s lost all her money, she has no one to blame but herself. I find it hard to believe with all the deals she had, that she now has nothing. I think she’s just trying to cash in by playing the ‘mean girl’ herself now and peddling old grudges.

      Hilary Duff has never been in a huge film franchise, though, like Christy states. Cheaper By the Dozen wasn’t exactly a franchise.

    Scarlet Johannsen? She always seemed like a guy’s girl & you never see her with female friends. I’ve also read that she’s mean to other females.

    Well as she’s be the same age as Johansson who worked in the Marvel franchises, I’ll throw SJ’s name in the ring as the bully.

    It’s either ScarJo or SJP. It sure sounds like SJP’s behavior but she isn’t in huge franchise movies. Yes, there are the SaTC movies but #’s 2-3 were flops. Acting in huge franchise movies would point to Scar Jo. Buuut I still think it’s SJP so I’ll go with her.

    I used to really admire SJP when I didn’t know about her behavior towards KC. Her bullying of KC was so nasty and over the top that I stopped admiring her and now have no use for her.

      SJP is closer to 55 than 45, and wouldnt have had any school with Romero. No need to bully her either. SJP got her start in the theatre, and not TV, so wouldnt make sense – even if she did go to school with her – to bully over THAT. Also, SJP isnt in any major franchises.

    Gotta be Scarlett Johansson. They’re the same, and Scarlett’s acting resume goes back to the mid-90’s.

    Scarlett Johansson is the only female name on that list that fits “mega mega superstar.” Christina Ricci fits the profile, but her peak was in her teens. The other women also already peaked in their careers.

    I’ve never heard of CCR until now, so no opinion of her. As for Scarlett, I can’t tell if she’s just an outspoken character or if she’s overly dominant.

      This is definitely Scar Jo. Has all the bully, “know it all” vibes needed. Proud of being promiscuous and multiple husbands at young age. Whatever niceness is a PR stunt in my opinion

    It has to be Scarlett. They are born the same year and she’s the only one in the Alumnae that is a mega star has starred in franchise movies (as Black Widow) and is a similar age.

    At first I thought mischa barton, but she’s not really a mega star. Sounds like Scarlett Johnson but I’m hoping it’s not.

    Not sure about the bully, but I’m rooting for a comeback for Christy! Her YouTube is starting to make headlines lately so I’m interested to see how it all pans out for her. I think she’d make a good Disney mom like the Raven & Chelsea character revivals on Raven’s Home.

    They are 2 years apart, but Lindsay Lohan? Clues: bully, referencing a Paris Hilton item…. I remember Lohan at the time on Oprah publicizing Mean Girls. Oprah asked if she had ever been bullied and LL responded that she was more of a bully. She clearly was so scared of being seen as a ‘loser’ that she preferred to identify as mean girl.

    Amanda Seyfried is closer in age though, so maybe her.

    Sara Michelle Gellar? She seems like a mean girl but I probably just think that from the roles she has played. And Scooby for the franchise. Or Scarlet? She seems mean too.

      She’s 7 years older than Christy though. If these were school-related interactions, then it’s probably somebody closer in age.

    There are always 2 sides to every story. It’s also really easy to smear someone’s name without explicitly naming them.
    Maybe she was never bullied and is just jealous of ___’s success? Or maybe she really was bullied but for some reason didn’t get closure like she says bc why is she bringing it up? Publicity to stay relevant? Promoting something? Low key obsessed with that person still. We also need to stop crucifying people for being young and stupid.

    Still, the clues fit (mega megastar, franchise movies), she and Romano are about the same age, and I can totally see ScarJo being a Mean Girl.

    Optional: I watched Even Stevens back in the day and never cared for her. Sounds like sour grapes now, since she has nothing else to talk about.

      Well SJP is almost 20 years older than CCR so she’s out. And Sarah Michelle Gellar is almost 10 years older so she’s out. The only person mentioned here and on PCS’ list of distinguished alum that’s the right age and fits the mega star description is ScarJo so she seems like the likely candidate. I could see her doing something like that even unintentionally, she has a very tough demeanor that some people could take the wrong way. At least if it is her, I’m hoping it was unintentional.
