[Pop Bitch] Which bestselling author has a bit of a reputation at his publishers for working his way through the women on staff there?
At least three colleagues have taken receipt of the exact same bouquet of flowers to thank them for their company.
It’s a rather obvious tell to the rest of the office as to who he’s been shagging.

No clue. “Shagging” implies it’s a Brit, so… who knows? Is Austin Powers writing books these days? He’s VERY into the shagadelic girls, baby, YEAH!
I do buy the occasional book still. Mostly kid books & classic lit. cuz I detest pop fiction. I have a huge collection of kid books because of buying them for my own children. Our family’s got a grandchild now, too, and I have been going through our shelves and finding my son’s favorites to give to her so they can read them together.

Because “tell” is a poker term, I’ll guess Michael Lewis.

David Walliams

It’s Alex Garland.
The related blind is Alicia Vikander who was in his film Ex Machina.
Garland = flowers so the gift is a tell!

Just to be different I’m going to say Oliver Jeffers. He’s still relatively young, definitely handsome, turns out books regularly. Who wouldn’t be charmed by the author of quirky kids’ books? I have zero proof, zero information, zero gossip… I just needed a mental cleanser after the Archer and Martin guesses. ( Sorry Mrs. Jeffers)
Yes,I buy physical books for friends as well as tons of kids books for their children. As for me? All eBook all the time.

I am guessing Neil Gaiman. Shagging indicates British. Around the World in 80 Days (pictured) was published by Simon and Schuster. Neil is a best selling author who is published by Simon and Schuster.
I get most books as e books from the library but if a book is exceptional and I plan to read in many times, I buy the hardcover.

Jaime Oliver. Shagging=British & he is the best selling male author in Britain right now. He’s also not ancient or horrible looking.

Neil Gaiman? Say it ain’t so…
super sleuth says
Neil Gaiman is in an open marriage. Main reason why I didn’t guess him.
alternageek says
Gaiman was my first thought, but hes known more for abusing his publishers staff rather than shagging.

Well, they say their marriage is an open one….

Well, I think it would be obvious we are talking about George RR Martin. JUST kidding. Maybe. LOL

Shagging implies British but I haven’t a clue . Haven’t kept up with bestsellers list in ages . Yes I still do books . There is just something warm about them but I realize everything will be digital one day & carrying it on a device is much more convenient and you are far less apt to lose the ebook because if you do you are up the creek

Bill O’Reilly?
I look for books in the library. I figure that since I pay taxes, I might as well get my money’s worth.
I also buy used books online and after I finish them I donate them to the various Little Free Libraries (Take a Book, Leave a Book”) around my area.
I haven’t bought a new book in years.

I have no idea who this author is. More clues? I always buy and read physical books and I am starting a family library. Who can read a book on a screen? That is resulting in eye problems, especially for the younger generation who grew up with everything on screens.

Ken Follett
A lifelong avid reader, I now borrow audio books from the library.

I can’t imagine it being Woodward so I’ll guess it’s Bernstein. Actually, I have no idea who this creep is. Occasionally I buy books, but they’re usually cookbooks. Once in a while I’ll buy nonfiction (but it’s gotta really be good!)

Agree w the Follett guess–he is a prolific writer. I try not to buy books but they are so tempting! Little Free Libraries and the book shop at my library have amazing books at bargain prices.
