diversity 2[Blind Gossip] Within companies, it’s not unusual for people to change jobs. The corporation is boss, and if they want you to move, you move.

Moving from one TV show to another may seem odd, especially if the shows aren’t that different and basically appeal to the same audience.

However, if management is anticipating a gap or change in the lineup of the new show, they may move players around before that happens.

Why did they pick him? Two reasons: He’s a proven commodity. He provides PC balance.

That second reason is MUCH more important for his new show than his old show. You’ll see.

    I don’t watch either shows, so it’s neither here or there in regards to moving him.

    Given the rainbow colors and the clue about anticipating a gap in the lineup, I’m presuming they are going to dump openly gay Gio Benitez who just married another man.

    Strahan is, shall we say, more circumspect about his private life.

    If so, shame on ABC.

    I liked him with Kelly, but he can probably do much more meaningful segments on GMA. I am a fan of his, so I’m happy for his success.

    Just read that Kelly Ripa didn’t show up this morning for her show Kelly & Michael Strahan show, since he has reported to jump ship to Good Morning America…. Don’t watch either shows, but will be looking out for the outcome of his move and Kelly finding a replacement….

    Don’t watch either show, but I wonder if they’re planning to get rid of Robin Roberts and are worried about the “PC” (stupid term) backlash of firing a black, gay woman? If so, it’s a big mistake. She’s a real pro, and has a unique and under-represented perspective. Minorities are not simply interchangeable.

Also, I could imagine that Robin Roberts and Micheal Strahan being two openly gay (and awesome) morning show anchors would be a first.

    My first thought when they announced it is that someone from GMA will be leaving…if Michael is there for “PC” balance, I’m thinking Robin Roberts might be out soon, guessing her because the picture has the LGBT colors in it.

    I watch both shows but may not watch Live anymore depending on who the replacement host is.

      correct, but did everyone miss the you’ll see clue and the rainbow colours in the pic, which if wasn’t hint of enough because of the colors all the men are holding hands. So Michael will come out of the closet on GMA. We’ll see indeed.

      His ex wife said in court he had an “alternative lifestyle”! He once said he wasn’t gay, so I’m thinking he’s bisexual and will come out on GMA. Power to him, if so!

      No WAY is MS gay. He’s a known ladies man…. Maybe the clue is a nod to his unidentified replacement Anderson Cooper who would be great with Kelly. I love him & NPH as possible replacements .
