[Pop Bitch] Which ex-pro football pundit is offering his services to current league players as a betting front?
As active players are banned from placing bets on their own sport, he’s suggesting they use his bookie account as a conduit.

This is Pop Bitch, so it’s English football we’re talking about, not American. I’m wondering if they mean ex-pro football pundit, as in just an ex-professional player who is still being a pundit or ex-pro-football pundit, as in someone who is no longer a pundit. If the latter, my guess is Jamie Carragher, former Liverpool defender, who is currently suspended from Sky Sports after spitting at a Manchester Utd fan who had his 14-year-old daughter with him.

In Britain, football is what we Americans call soccer.
“Ex-pro football pundit” = someone who used to comment on the sport
I think this is John Motson, who retired after 50 years commentating on the sport at the BBC.

Definitely OJ Simpson on this one! I guess this is how he plans on building his fortune back up.
No. I would think the betting would cause the bettors to play less well in order to lose a game and win a bet!

It’s stupidnot to be legal. The ban on gambling goes back to puritan blue laws and a greatof the mafia fixing games. Well the mob doesn’t run Vegas anymore and anyone who really wants to bet can just open an account at an offshore site. Legalize it. Tax it.
