A Bottle A Day

[Blind Gossip] We’ve talked about this performer’s drinking before. It’s only getting worse.

She has not cut back at all. She drinks every day, sometimes starting at 11:00  or 12:00. Usually wine, sometimes champagne. It is not unusual for her to go through a bottle a day by herself. She doesn’t think she has a problem.

Time flies when you’re sucking back an entire bottle of wine!

    I’ll take FLIES as the clue. Even though the quote is fake, Mariah never recovered from it “When I watch TV and see those poor starving kids all over the world, I can’t help but cry. I mean, I’d love to be skinny like that, but not with all those flies and death and stuff.” So yeah, my beloved Mariah Carey is my guess. I hope she gets help asap!

    I’m going with the Mariah Carey guesses as it would explain her sudden weight gain. Also, I think Ace had another blind on her a while ago about how she doesn’t eat much, she gets her calories through booze.I

    If I am at a special celebration (birthday) and not driving, then I may have 2-3 drinks. But that’s like 2x a year. Usually I drink nothing beyond Diet Coke. I would agree that one drink a night is more than enough.

    A glass or 2 of wine with dinner or afterwards is acceptable for everyday use. Anything more is a bit excessive. More than a bottle a day? You’re a lush. Seek help.

    Mariah Carey? Katy Perry? You hear about Katy’s partying a lot but Mariah is sort of the ‘champagne’ taste Diva type I can see thinking wine and bubbly means she is high class and doesn’t have a problem.

    Mariah Carey. I am not a drinker, so I would guess that 2 drinks a day is probably too much for some people. I guess it depends how it affects the person. I guess it is OK to have more if you are not driving; also depends on the alcohol content of the drink-beer, wine, hard liquor, etc.

    I think more than one at dinner is too many, unless you are going out to a club….then all bets are off.

      What if you aren’t a club person? Drinking more than one with dinner is a problem?

      Just found that oddly specific. I didn’t start drinking wine really until years after I stopped “clubbing”.

      I much prefer to drink at home, where I don’t have to drive and don’t have to pay 3-5x as much per glass than at a bar or club.

    Depends on tolerance, but for most people of average height and weight, depending on the strength of the booze, 4 is a good stopping point. At least she’s not driving around drunk with the twins in her car.

    No idea but if I start drinking at noon I could easily finish a whole bottle in a day! Doesn’t seem like that much (unless maybe it’s a joreboam…equivalent of 6 bottles)

    How many drinks per day is too much?:Depends what your drinking and how it affects you. If you drink enough that you slur your words and become a hot mess then its definitely too much.

    Mimi and a bottle of wine in a day is no big deal if it takes all day to drink. Now if she’s knocking back the big bottle of wine is another story.

      If you find yourself drinking or smoking weed every day (or almost every day) you have a problem. And then you will be defensive by my saying this, another sign that you have a problem.

      You know what my problem is? Severe chronic pain from fibromyalgia, plus IBS-D, migraines, insomnia, anxiety and panic disorder. Those are problems. The little bit of marijuana I smoke daily to help manage these conditions? Not a problem.

      I’m sorry, did either of them say that they smoke everyday? No, they didn’t. And even if they do, you do realize that some people use marijuana to help cope with anxiety or chronic pain? It can be incredibly beneficial for some people, not everyone uses it just to get high. And before you try to tell me that I have a problem too because I’m “getting defensive” I haven’t smoked in years. I’m just not a big fan of telling strangers on the internet that they have a problem.

      You really can’t compare alcoholism to smoking weed. Alcohol has a strong physical addiction. Weed is only mentally addictive meaning if you have it you’ll smoke it but you won’t get sick or Jones for it. And who said AngelBratt smokes weed every day? She only said she prefers weed over alcohol.

    I only drink a few cocktails a year. -For a nice dinner out, Christmas eve, when friends come to town to visit.

    Mariah, darling. Different people have different tolerance levels, but if you find you’re drinking EVERY day, then it’s too much.

    If one is an alcoholic, then even one drink per day is too much. Katy has long had an alcohol problem, maybe drugs too, I don’t know.

    One bottle of wine is not that much if You are partying, but if You do it on a daily basis You have a problem.

    It’s not about the amount of alcohol, it’s about the regularity of drinking.

      not katy – she’s on tour plus american idol. she a work-horse, not an alcholoic. You can’t be a drunk and have her work ethic and survive…

    She is always drinking champagne.
    Clues are time flies (she is obsessed with butterflies) and sucking back because she sucks her stomach in all the time. Ok this may be a bit far-fetched ^^

    I can’t think of who the performer could be. I have a female relative with a very prestigious job. She drinks at least 1 bottle of wine a day, weekends it’s more. She gets really loud and obnoxious. She has lost more friends because of it. So far it doesn’t seem to be affecting her job. But she does have a reputation. She doesn’t think she has a problem. I think one glass of wine or a bottle of beer a day is more than enough. Especially if you plan on driving.
