The Mason Jar Relationship

[Blind Gossip] This musical couple has been together for years now, but still isn’t married.

Of course, that doesn’t stop the constant stream of fabricated relationship stories!

During any given week, you will see reports that our male singer and female singer are: Engaged. Pregnant.  Living together. Picking out names for their imaginary children. Planning a wedding. Trying to get pregnant. Adopting children. Already secretly married. Getting fertility treatments. Ring shopping. Pregnant with twins. Planning to get engaged. House shopping.

On and on and on it goes.

He was joking that they have all of these stories on slips of paper in a mason jar and she simply pick one out every few weeks.

The stories mostly come from her side, but he doesn’t protest. None of the stories are true. But they keep people talking.

So, what’s the big excuse for this year? Religion!

It’s a good one, because it could provide years of excuses and it puts the stalling beyond their control. They can say they desperately want to get married but they can’t until these issues are fully resolved. She could be working on an annulment for years and he could be converting to her religion for years.

Although that mason jar would be better used for sipping sweet tea on a country porch somewhere, don’t hold your breath that the phony stories and the excuses will end anytime soon!

    Blake and Gwen. She is seeking an annulment from her marriage from Gavin. If they were to get married in the Catholic Church, he would have to have his 2 marriages annulled as well. How can you have an annulled marriage when you have 3 children with that spouse. Give me a break! You are already having premarital sex, so why bother with an annulment.

Gwen says she’s a Catholic and there’s a rumor she has written to the Vatican to get her previous marriage annulled, but that her ex-husband Gavin Rosedale is “blocking it.” There are also rumors Blake is converting (or has already converted) to Catholicism.

    She’s already putting out stories that Gavin Rossdale refuses to cooperate with an annulment in the Catholic Church. You’d think with as long as Shelton and Stefani have been “engaged” this hurdle might have been dealt with years ago.

    Her ex shot this one down quick. He has nothing to do with keeping them from marrying. However, if he signs the annulment papers, it makes her children illegitimate.
    Hopefully this will end amicably or they’ll stop pretending and become a real couple.

      Annulment does not make the children legally illegitimate. Annulment means that there was an impediment leading to one or both of the partners not having the correct mind set to understand the obligations of a Catholic marriage, thereby making the marriage null and void in the opinion of the Church.

    Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton. This fake relationship is using up years of both of their best dating time as adults. And it has to be exhausting and weird. I would never do this, so I simply don’t understand it . At ALL.

    I think they are a real couple, although I wasn’t sure at the beginning. I don’t think they will end up married, but they will probably last two or three more years. The only thing that might lead to marriage is if Gavin Rossdale gets serious about someone, and Gwen needs to show him she is still desirable.

    Gwen is pretending to want a Catholic wedding but can’t get one unless her marriage to Gavin Rossdale is annulled. Shelton would need to convert to Catholicism.

      He doesn’t need to convert. They could still have a Catholic ceremony, they would probably just get rid of the Mass part (communion.) My ex was Baptist and we married in a Catholic church.

      That’s a pleasant surprise to hear; I was under the impression that you were required to convert. I suppose it’s more honest than the “bride & groom package” where a person can get all the sacraments in under a month just to have the church social event.
