She’s not quite done, though!

She says she’s not done. She says her family won’t be complete until she has a baby [of the opposite gender].

She says if she can’t have one herself in the next two or three years she is going to either hire a surrogate or adopt.

    Could be Gwen? She has a tribe of boys, but she’s not on the young side, which could explain the use of surrogate or adoption if nothing happens in the next couple of years?

    I have one boy and two girls ageing from 25 to 4 (the last one was a little surprise). Would I want anymore, no thank you (too old for that malarkey) and if I did, gender would not come into it. As long as they’re healthy, what more could you ask for?

    Carrie Underwood. With all of the talk of her multiple miscarriages, plastic surgery, etc. I’m beginning to think she’s just controlling enough for this.

    Definitely Shakira! She has two boys age 5, and 3 and she’s always joking about how Gerard and her want more kids (especially of her imagining Gerard with a baby girl).

    I’m going with Britney. Anyone who keeps trying for a certain sex child is setting themselves up. I know many people who have a gaggle of girls or boys who just kept trying. Its ridiculous. Love the kids you have, regardless of what’s between the legs.

    I have one of each and love them both. Raising boys/girls is night and day, though. I’ve always joked boys get you physically while the girls will get you mentally. The singer might be in for a bit of a surprise if she gets what she wants.

    No idea on the singer, but Britney might be a good guess.
    Optional: I was blessed to have to kids, one of each gender. I’d like one more, don’t care which gender.

    Sounds like someone who is a bit older (the within the next 2-3 years part). Could be any number of singers with one child, Solange, Shakira, Alicia Keys and so on.

    However, I think this may be Gwen Stefani. She already has three boys and may well be desperate for a girl. She is in her late 40s, so time is not on her side.

    My family is complete and we have a mix. Based on my experience, boys are much easier to raise. If we really had to have another I would therefore quietly hope for a…

    Gwen Stefani wants a girl at 47. Blake Shelton is the man who probably has no say but he doesn’t need to if she uses someone else’s eggs and/or sperm I guess.

    I remember reading Gwen Stefani has always wanted a girl.

    I have two boys, and although I’d love to have the experience of raising girls, I feel very grateful that I have the opportunity and responsibility of raising boys that I can teach to be good feminists.

    No clue on the singer.

    We have one of each; the second is adopted, and gender was specified in our case as well. We just really wanted the experience of raising both a boy and a girl, and it’s been a mix of joy and frustration with both of them. I honestly have no preference, but I wouldn’t want a third just because I like the symmetry!

    I think Britney. I have 2 sons and they are such a blessing I never wished for girls. But you get what you get – I’m sure girls would have been lovely too.

    I have a daughter who is almost 3. Ideally i want 2 girls and 2 boys! If i could only have 1 more i’d love to have a boy but would be thrilled either way! I think parents should remember that whatever gender their kid is, that child kicked all the other sperms ass and is already a champ!

    Gwen Stefani. She’s always wanted a baby girl desperately and instead she ended up with 4 boys.

    She’s pushing 50 though so unless she froze her eggs doubt she could use a surrogate. Man in her life is Blake Shelton, who seems to love being a dad to her boys.

      Agreed. At age 48, it’s unlikely she’ll have viable eggs. I don’t think a person should have a child just to have a specific gender. It’s natural to want a boy or girl, but I don’t think it’s natural to keep having children until you get it.

    Uncertain of the singer, but would guess one of the younger known performers.

    Always wanted one of each and then possibly a third. God gave me one beautiful/intelligent daughter and we consider ourselves beyond blessed. Looking forward to grandbabies soon, if she so chooses!

    I don’t know who this is but as a mother of a girl and a boy I know the want to have an opposite gendered child. I don’t think I’d have been bothered if my son was a girl as I thought he was going to be a girl anyway but I know the worry and Gender disappointment is a legit thing and sometimes there is a lot of pressure to have an opposite gendered child from friends and family. It’s scary.

      I find the idea of external pressure to have a particular gender of child quite weird, I mean it’s totally down to chance and not anyone’s fault.

    We have a boy. No idea on this singer/ ? Cardi B. We were blessed with one child who was healthy. When you know people who have children who have medical issues you realize what a miracle a healthy baby is. This plan of the singer speaks to profound immaturity. God help and bless any children she may have in the future.
