The news is about her baby plans.

She has proposed a schedule and he has already agreed to it. Wedding, three to six months settling in, pregnant, first baby, one year break, pregnant, second baby.

So, depending on how long it takes her to get pregnant, two babies in the first three to four years of marriage.

That’s fast!

She is over 30, so it may be a little more challenging to conceive.

On the other hand, she does does unlimited funds and the best medical care available at her disposal, so anything is possible.

The two of them certainly seem smitten with each other so they are likely to be willing to do the “work” required to get pregnant.

Meghan pregnant and expecting royal baby next spring

The Duchess of Sussex is pregnant and is due to give birth next spring, Kensington Palace has revealed.

The announcement came as Meghan, 37, and Prince Harry, 34, arrived in Sydney on Monday ahead of a 16-day tour of Australia and New Zealand.

Kensington Palace said the couple, who got married in Windsor five months ago, were “delighted to be able to share this happy news with the public”.

Their baby will be seventh in line to the throne.

The Queen and other senior royals were told about the pregnancy on Friday, when members of the Royal Family gathered in Windsor for Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

Meghan – who has had her 12 week scan – attended the wedding with Prince Harry, wearing a long, dark blue coat, which sparked speculation she could be expecting.

Their baby will be a first cousin of Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis – but will not be a prince or princess themselves unless the Queen steps in ahead of the birth.

Royal biographer Robert Hardman said the children will be lord and lady “like the children of any other duke”, because Prince Harry is not in the direct line of succession.

Meghan Markle was spotted wearing a loose-fitting coat at the wedding of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank this weekend.

The official announcement came from Kensington Palace this morning.

The announcement comes less than five months after their wedding earlier this year.

    I always laugh when people think they can somehow “plan” these things, especially when the woman gets to be in her thirties. It’s almost laughable to me. I understand if she feels her “clock is ticking”, but the bottom line is that NATURE will decide in the end.

    I think they’ll have two. Maybe she even already got her eggs frozen years ago, like a lot of Hollywood women do. Anyways, good luck to them and why not start right away? 😉

    I think they’ll have 2. And yes, it’s no surprise she’ll be pregnant before the end of the year. Lots of women get pregnant in their mid/late 30s.

    Obviously Harry and Meghan. At her age, it will likely take her a while to get pregnant, in the interest of time she’ll turn to fertility treatments, and I’d bet she’ll wind up having twins. Two kids, one and done.

    She’s 37 this year – make no mistake, she’s already visited the fertility clinic. A woman’s egg count declines dramatically at this age and IVF close to 40 has no guarantees.

    Unfortunately in the celeb world, fertility successes are over-hyped and publicized. We don’t hear about all the failed treatments, miscarriages and donor eggs.

    I think they will stop at 2 as Meghan is over 35 I think.
    Best of luck to them. I hope they have a happy marriage. I think her acting and her experience with the UN will help her. I think that they are suited to each other despite the claims of “gold digger” and “scheming hussy” against her. I wish her luck with that family.

    Honestly, I’m surprised she’s even willing to wait half a year. I kind of imagined she’d already visited a fertility clinic and has the eggs ready to go, and that’s not because she’s near forty, but just because conception can take a year evenfor people in their twenties.

She may like the ‘glamour’ of the royal lifestyle now, but will kick against the lack of privacy and not being allowed to voice her feminist left wing political views. The Brits are not impressed with either of them so they are resorting to ‘inviting’ 1200 people to stand outside and cheer the wedding party. Otherwise know as ‘crowd fillers’.

    I think they’ll have 2 and just for fun I think they’ll have 2 girls.

    It makes sense to have a schedule when you’re in your 30s and there’s no point in wasting time because you don’t know what your fertility is going to do. Some people have no trouble conceiving at an older age, but you can’t bank on it.

      I have no real opinion on Meghan one way or the other, but I am surprised at how many people dislike her.

      I think they’re smart to try for kids fast considering her age.

    Gonna be rather hard at her age. Fertility plunges a lot after 35. Two kids if lucky. Maybe they will conceive and freeze for the second baby to be.

      Not necessarily. I conceived with no problems at 36 and 38. Have plenty of friends conceiving in their late 30’s.

      Exactly. If she is healthy. I hate to say it but a lot of the Hollywood actresses who starve themselves for years for roles with their low body weight DO have a harder time getting pregnant. Also depends on how many years she was on the pill and rebooting her system. But if they are both healthy they can do IVF and no one would be the wiser. I got pregnant the first month I tried and I was 39.

      I am with Gone Girl-I conceived at 36 and 38 (both healthy) and my doctor told me that as long as you don’t have pre existing health problems, now they consider 40 years to be more difficult and risky.

      Ha. My mother conceived 5 of her 9 children after the age of 35. The youngest being a few months shy of her 47th birthday. Fertility differs from woman to woman, sure, but it’s laughable to assume 35 is too old. And for any of those curious about children born to my “geriatric” mother, all of my younger siblings have been healthy, zero medical issues. Again, it’s different woman to woman.

      Not that hard really. I had my two sons at 36 and 38 years old. Both were conceived naturally and were born healthy.

    Royal wives are pretty much expected to start producing “issue” soon after they’ve married. It’s less of a pressure for Harry though as he’s been shoved way down the line of succession by Duchess Kate’s remarkable conception skills. Personally I’d prefer they had as few as possible, each of their sprogs costs the taxpayer money and unprecedented numbers of British children are living in poverty at the moment.

      Actually, you are both right – the Queen receives a yearly grant from the government equal to a percentage of the profits made from royal properties. The rest comes from personal investments. The grant is about 20% of the overall cost of living as a royal, but the “trade” of properties for the grant is insignificant compared to the tourism dollars generated because of the royal family.

      Actually, the Queen has to pay 85% of the Crown Estate to the government. With the rest of the money, she is covers the cost of the residences and her personal living expenses.
      She does have the Duchy of Lancaster money, but that is hers, and she uses it to help out her family.
      The Prince of Wales uses the income he doesn’t pay in taxes from the Duchy of Cornwall to fund his expenses and that of his family. They pay more than they cost.

    She better not wait too long, because she’ll be 37 by then. My friend began to try at 35, and still no baby, but still not giving up. This was 3 years ago. I’m not being stupid, but she’ll be lucky to concieve right away.

      Oh she may be lucky OR she may have NONE of us common folks problems because she can go on a special diet and see specialists and get fertility acupuncture and basically have access to the best experts on the planet. If she is remotely capable it will happen.
