He definitely gets the award for Most Bored Date!

We were right next to them on the way out. She was smiling, but he looked grumpy. She looked at him and said, “Are you OK?” and he said, “I’m just glad that’s over.” She said, “It wasn’t THAT bad!” He looked at her and just stared at her for a few seconds. It was funny. She gave him a little elbow in the side and said, “Oh, behave!”

    The always bored and annoyed looking Don Gummer, year after year after year,
    sourpuss , Meryl should just leave him home and bring one of her daughters next time. It’s painful and embarrassing to watch..

    Meryl Streep — her husband looked like he was over it all, especially when Frances McDormand had all the women winners stand up.
    The ceremony is always a little boring in the middle, but this one was one of the worst. Best part for me was Maya Rudolph and Tiffany Haddish. They should host next year.

    I honestly thought this was one of the most boring Oscar nights I have ever seen. Nothing remotely interesting or controversial happened, it was all so sterile.

    Rate the show: Negative 10. Boring, preachy, too many self congratulations and the movies sucked. A sea monster and a mute. A pdephiliac teacher. A sadist mom. What ever happened to nice friendly uplifting movies?

    Meryl and Don. I agree with him. The ratings for this show (and last year’s) were all-time lows. The show just isn’t fun (or funny) anymore. Bring back Ellen or Neil Patrick Harris and get rid of the * obsessed with Matt Damon.

    Meryl Streep and Don Gummer. He’s been going to these things with her for DECADES, he must be sofa king over it. He always shows up though, he’s a stand-up guy. If he gets a little grumpy at the end of the night, I can’t blame him. I’ll bet they had more fun at these in the ’70s.

    Actress: Meryl Streep.

    The show felt interminable. I thought it was a shame they didn’t include the honorary Oscar to Donald Sutherland in the main ceremony, but handed it to him at the technical awards one which takes place days/weeks before the Oscars. Personally, I find Jimmy Kimmel rather boring as a host.

    This one is easy! Meryl Streep and her husband. When the camera would pan to them, he always looked like he was bored out of his mind!

    I don’t think he goes under duress, they’ve probably had the same conversation for the last twenty years. ‘Oh no, not another one.’ He knows he’s contributed to the success of his wife (as well as having his own successful career), probably just banter between people who have been married for 40 years.

      Honestly I can’t blame him. I’m totally bored or Meryl Oscar hype year after year (despite her being a great actress), so I can imagine how her husband feels. It’s just nothing special at this point.

    So easy. This was definitely Meryl Streep and her husband, Don Gummer. I noticed him several times in the audience. He looked like a jerk. He never smiled, never laughed.

    Meryl Streep’s hubby was acting like a bored grouch every time the camera was in their direction.
    I’ll give it a 7 – I actually liked the show better than last year’s. The speeches are too boring, especially when it’s the unknown winners who pull out a large piece of paper and drone on and on, thanking everyone they ever met.
    I did like the jet ski thing and the visit to the theatre next door.

    No idea on the actress and her grumpy husband.
    I did not watch the Oscars as there are too many Best Picture nominations-how do you cheer for an actor, actress or picture you didn’t have time to see? And the continuous put-down of conservative Americans is becoming a drag.
