The End Is Not Black And White

[Blind Gossip] This actor’s announcement of the end of his portrayal of the film character that made him famous is amusing. He’s doing it just before the next chapter of the film franchise comes out.

Remember when we told you about Daniel Craig’s “decision” about ending his portrayal of the iconic role of James Bond? Craig said, “I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists” than play James Bond again. The producers made a big deal of searching for a replacement… only to have Craig come back after they offered him large sacks of cash!

Same situation here. Saying “I’m done!” is not a black and white decision. It is a negotiating ploy.

He is disappointed that he’s not scoring the lead roles he thought he would. On [another big film] he’s not even on the top three of the call sheet. He will come back if the money is right. He’s not going to turn down a $10+ million payday!

    Can’t be Jackman, Hemsworth, or Downey, Jr. Jackman and RDJ were big names before they were Wolverine and Ironman, and CH has been in other big movies since becoming Thor (he just needs to lean in to his comedy talent more).

    Next chapter makes me think the Jamie Dornan guesses are right. I just can’t believe they are thinking about another Gray movie.

    I’m hoping it’s Hugh Jackman. Now that Disney has bought the X-Men franchise, it’s going to get a whole new reboot. Now, maybe, they’ll even cross to the Avengers. Hugh said he’d love to have Wolverine meet Iron Man. They even asked him if he’d be interested, but he said no. I’m hoping he’s negotiating.

    It’s grey! Jamie Dornan and the Fifty Shades franchise. Apparently they want to make more movies than there were books and he said “I’m done”. Yeah right, dude. What else have you got going on? ?

      And absolutely this franchise could continue with somebody else…he’s about as bland as tapioca and I wouldn’t recognize him on the street. I don’t think anyone would even notice if they replaced him. But it SHOULDN’T continue…because it’s so awful!

    Replacing the X Men characters proved that it can be done. Recasting Wolverine will prove to be more difficult than for Thor. I’m still hammered from yesterday’s Superbowl and can’t think of a new actor to carry Thor’s hammer.

    Actor: Chadwick Boesman. Role: Black Panther. Optional: He would be hard to replace. But, he isn’t irreplaceable. He should wait to build up a solid fan base and then ask for more.

    Chris Hemsworth in the Thor movies? I’m not sure whether it could go on without him. Probably, but he’s really good in the role. I also thought the reason he walked was because there weren’t any plans to make more Thor movies.

      I disagree. I do not think the film should not have been made, I just think the film shouldn’t have been made with Jamie Dorman and Dakota Johnson. They have no chemistry. He seem like he doesn’t like women, and you can tell she doesn’t like him. Plus their acting is kinda bad.

      I thought this (because Logan was shown in black and white in some places) but he’s still getting top billing a lot.

      He was going on about not returning to the X-Franchise after Logan unless he could play him in Avengers. Now that Disney is buying up the Fox licenses, including returning the X-Men and FF to Marvel/MCU, he’s suddenly “done with the role”?

      Iron Man didn’t MAKE RDJ famous. He’s been around forever AND he is as big in the Sherlock Holmes series. MI didn’t MAKE Tom Cruise. You can argue Jamie Dornan was introduced on a big scale mainstream level to the masses with 50 Shades though.
