She Turned Her Cheek

[Blind Gossip] Something was up with this famous couple at the Academy of Country Music Awards!

They were very loving on the red carpet and whenever the cameras were on them. When they thought no one was watching, though, the loving seemed to stop.

They were standing over to the side, and he went to put his arm around her and give her a kiss on the cheek, but she seemed really annoyed and turned her head the other way so he would miss! Not in a joking way, either. They said a couple of things to each other, but the only part I clearly heard was, “Stop it.” He just shook his head like he was disappointed. Then they both put on big smiles when [another country star] came up to them, like everything was fine.

    I don’t like County music (or jazz) so I’m whistling in the dark here. There have been some nasty little rumors about these two over the years. Some say he’s a controlling b****d, others say she’s needy and a basket case. Don’t know. Tim is a hottie, and should maybe pick on someone his own size. Like maybe a B.F. lol.

    [Optional] What do you think is up with them? I don’t like Garth Brooks, have never liked him, and think he would be a total nightmare to be married to. Just comes off as very egotistical and a d*ck.

      I’d like to change my answer to Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

      If this was them then I feel badly for Keith. Getting kiss-rejected by your taller wife after standing on your tippy toes has got to sting a little.

    Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban. How sad. I was taken in for a long time by their loving act but recently thought that Nicole seemed too insincere with her effusive words of love about Keith. It just didn’t sound true.

    Outgrown each other? Closeted? I really don’t know.

    I think this is Miranda Lambert and Anderson East. When she won Female Vocalist of the year you could see where he went to kiss her. She flew past him and hugged Carrie Underwood instead.
    She also didn’t think him in her speech.

      I think this is a great guess. I was thinking Nicole and Keith as usual, but I don’t think she would be caught saying “stop it,” whereas I can see Miranda getting annoyed and being a prima donna. I did watch the video of her winning FV of the year and she totally ignored him! I felt embarrassed for him. I know she’s talented, but she has always seemed really immature to me!

    I know everyone’s going to guess Nicole and Keith but they were so affectionate throughout the entire night and they’re solid right now.

    Miranda Lambert & Anderson East is another possibility. She only gave a cheek kiss when she won Album of the year and blew him off to hug Carrie Underwood when she beat her for female vocalist.

      Miranda didn’t even acknowledge Anderson during her acceptance speeches. Nor did she turn and hug him when she won. Sam Hunt’s gorgeous fiancé turned away from him when he sat next to her during his song but I think she was just attention sigh. P.S I hope those of you who aren’t keen on country music give it a whirl. It’s super cool these days.

    Only because Blake/Gwen and not a “real” relationship so how could he be disappointed?.

      Blake and Gwen were not even there, so probably not them…
      however, you could guess Miranda Lambert and Anderson East both as this answer and as a fake couple and you would probably be right

    I think they can’t stand each other, but they’re addicted to the attention they get as a couple. They probably also get surgery and Botox price cuts when they go as a twosome, and they wouldn’t want to mess that up.
