Time For The Beardy Girlfriend

[Blind Gossip] This cute and talented under-40 actor was one of the stars of a happy TV show that was popular among young adults.

He will never score the lead in some macho, action-adventure flick, but he has a well-established fan base of male and female fans and he works consistently.

He has been pretending forever that he is straight. He’s even had the same beardy girlfriend for years. He keeps taking on gay roles and can’t seem to stop talking about what it’s like to kiss men… but he still works hard to convince interviewers that he’s straight!

I am in the theater community and I have been present at several interviews that he has done. Right after he talks about gay men, or playing gay men, or kissing gay men, he always insists that he is straight.

We all know he’s not. I know who he sleeps with, and it’s not a woman.

Then he always looks around to see if anyone believes him.  It must be exhausting.

Time to trot out that beardy girlfriend again!

    100% Darren Criss, former show, Glee. Hell no it won’t hurt his career. He’ll be free to be himself and likely MORE doors will open. Most people already believe he’s not straight (prob pansexual) and don’t give a damn. He’s talented as hell and is being forced to lie and parade that beard around. Please come out and be HAPPY, Darren!!

    Clearly Darren Criss fro Glee. I hope he comes out soon because you don’t need to look too deep into the ‘girlfriends’ antics (ie. intentionally peeing on herself at a concert because she was too lazy to go to the bathroom) to realize what trash she is.

    I think most people assume he’s gay anyway. I have a terrible gaydar, but he pings mine anyway. Clue: happy tv show = Glee. Plus, I have seen several interviews where he discusses kissing guys.

      But he just turned 30, so the “Under 40” reference, while true, seems weird. He’s almost 10 years under 40. Why not 30-something? Then again… Who cares? Let Ace write his own blog posts…

    Though he’s married, Jeremy Jordan – another TV and Broadway boy – strikes me as about equally believable as straight. I will say, at least Jordan has some sense of humor about how he comes across.

    I think he’s the cutest thing and as a straight woman, I wouldn’t mind in the least if he were gay. I don’t think it would hurt his career at all, especially since he tends to take on gay roles anyway and if you’re a male in the theater it’s almost just assumed that you’re gay. It seems he’s focusing more on music now anyway.

    Come on out, Dare! We’ll still love​…

    I think he should come out and own it like NPH. If you are in musical theater, people will assume it anyway. Maybe he is just waiting until he has a steady partner.

    Oh I know who this is. Darren Criss and Mia Von Gross. I saw his last interview. I hope he doesn’t drag her out again. Every time I see a picture of her I get the song Gold Digger stuck in my head all day and become a little nauseated. He can do better with the fake if he wants to. Better yet, stop with the fake. No one cares anyway.

    Unfortunately, yes I do think his career would suffer if he came out.

      He is not a leading man in romantic comedies and he is not an star on action movies, so frankly i can’t see why coming out could affect him at all. Everything that he did till know could do it as openly gay (you get a leading role on Broadway for your talent and your sexual orientation is totally irrelevant in theatre).
      Matt Bomer risked way more than Darren, he was playing a ladies man, he had a lot of female fans, and his career didn’t suffered at all after coming out

    I don’t think coming out would hurt his career at all. As as been pointed out, he already plays lots of gay roles and characters and works steadily.

    But then again, actors like Colton Haynes who’ve come out, don’t seem to get roles or gigs anymore. So if Franco feels that he needs to remain in the closet, then that’s how it has to be until society and he are ready to deal.

      colton haynes never got much work to begin with. besides, didn’t he just come out like 3 months ago? we’d have to give it a little more time to see if it truly negatively affected his career.

      Colton work in a good bunch of tv shows, the fact he wasn’t the main character doesn’t change the fact the he worked on tv shows on regular basis.
      I agree it’s to soon to know if it will affect his career, but he came out more than 8 months ago.
      Coming out had practically zero effects on the actors that came out in recent years. Not even on Matt Bomer who was probably the one risking more with his coming out

    The TV show is Glee (“happy”) and I’ve actually never seen it, so when I opened up the cast list to see the names, low and behold they ALL look gay ?, but I’m going with Darren Criss because he recently talked about gay kissing, and his girlfriend soooo looks like a beard.

      As much as I’d personally love this to be true, Pally has been married for years, and at least a couple kids. altho, there was some Travel Channel show he did, spent a weekend in Vegas with his 4-5 buddies and…well, I’ve seen cleaner slashfics than what was shown. One of the guys was mentioned to be “up for anything” if dared/drunk enough.

    Clues: It says, “happy TV show,” and happy and glee are synonymous
    Also, it says “under 40,” meaning he’s in his 30s… or else it would say “20-something,” or simply “young,” & MM is 38 (according to Siri lol)
    Next, of the Glee men, he’s the only one I can think of who’s very, very big in the theater world
    And finally, he’s the only one (who fits all the other clues) who is FREQUENTLY rumored to be gay!

      Crap! I just reread & realized it talks about a girlfriend, and I’m pretty positive Matthew Morrison is married (even though he really does fit all the clues otherwise, and is always rumored to be gay with a beard) so I guess it can’t be him. Problem is that I can’t think of any other male from Glee who’s in their 30s and big in theater…..

      OMG YES I CAN! Darren Chris! Just didn’t think of him bc he just turned 30! “Under 40” was a weird choice.

    The first that came to mind was Noel Fisher because I’m obsessed with Shameless but I really doubt it’s him so it could probably be Eric Stonestreet (doubt it’s him too though).
    Tbh I’m sure it’s one of the actors from HTGAWAM so Jack Falahee or Conrad Ricamora or someone else.

      He told Conan recently on talk show about accidentally kissing gay porn star. He is so obviously closeted – imagine the good he could do for himself and others if he just came out.

      It didnt ruin Matt Bomer’s career and it won’t ruin his.
