The Shallow Renaissance Woman

renaissance-woman[Blind Gossip] Despite the fact that this famous actress from a show biz family hasn’t acted in a single film or television project in the last year or two, she manages to stay in the headlines. Someone who worked with her in the last year filled us in on how she does it.

The game goes like this. She makes an announcement: “I’ve decided to take some time off from acting to focus on whatever!” She gets a headline for that and gets to promote her new product or project.

She does that for a little while and then makes the same announcement about another product or project. And so on. She sometimes contradicts herself from one week to the next, but it doesn’t matter, as long as the press covers her and helps her sell whatever she’s pitching.

The truth is that her life is just a lot of busy work covered up by a thick layer of pretentiousness and self-promotion and self-congratulations. She sees herself as this Renaissance woman who everyone else wants to be like, but the truth is that she doesn’t have any depth or expertise in anything. If she does five minutes of work, she thinks everyone should pat her on the back for her extraordinary work ethic and put her picture on the front page with headlines congratulating her for her amazing achievement!

    The Goop and she has always wanted to be regarded as a Cultural Pearl .She doesn’t succeed because she seems to be the Jill of all trades Master of none. I have always had a problem with her flaky but put down comments of those of us who shop at Wal Mart or other working class stores .She has no degrees that I know of . She probably could have been getting acting jobs if she wanted them and maybe learn the Directing Craft and do Art house Projects which would be pretty cool for her.

    I’m going to say Drew Barrymore. She hasn’t done any acting in a very long time yet I always see photos of her. She’s always promoting some makeup or something.

    Gwyneth Paltrow – she hasn’t been in anything since 2014. All she does is promote her lifestyle.

    She’s actually a very good actress – she should stick to that and forget the other pretentious stuff.

    She is always pushing rubbish like she ix an expert at everything from food, to health & fitness, to how you should live your life. She is a pretentious phony who can shove her “cheeky cigarette” where the sun doesn’t shine, oh & light it first.

    I think this is Gwyneth Paltrow. She should get into acting again, she was quite good, I don’t even get why she wants to be in all this other stuff, maybe a cookbook here or there but the rest forget it.

    I can only think of two actresses from showbiz families: Drew Barrymore and Kate Hudson. Drew isn’t annoying and is never trying to sell me anything so this has to Kate Hudson, who has some kind of bloodline to DM online. Love her mom and stepdad. Loved her in her first film. Then it was rom coms and then the thing with Owen Wilson which really soured me on her. I would like more Owen Wilson and less Kate Hudson please.

    Methinks Gwyneth is the Renaissance woman. She’s beyond clueless thinking that the public actually adores her, AND her pretentious, snobby views and opinions. A spoiled, privileged (in her middle ages) princess, is the role in which Paltrow seems to give her best performance.

    Optional: I’m not going to lie, her wealth is enviable. It would be nice to not have to think/worry before making a purchase or going out on the weekends. But, I don’t actually envy her; she seems to live a shallow life.

    Gwyneth Paltrow – She always seems to be in the news for nothing. Last movie was in 2015 though she does have a couple in the works for 2017.

      My daughter met her – Gwyneth was attending a party and my daughter was a server for the catering firm. By all accounts, Gwyneth is lovely. Really nice. Makes me think there are two Gwyneths… I hope so because she shares my name and I want all Gwyneths to be known as being wonderful!
