men in black 2[Blind Gossip] This male actor might best be described as quirky. He takes his art very seriously, and has taken on a lot of challenging roles in his career.

He is usually quite confident in his abilities. Maybe not so much in his recent role in a hit film franchise where he plays a character that has been portrayed by different actors over the years.

Not sure if he was feeling competitive or insecure or just trying to give props to previous actors, but he did go from person to person quizzing them to see if they knew who had played the role before and what they thought of him in the role compared to them. It was a little awkward because of course everyone told him how brilliant he was.

No, it’s not anyone from the Men in Black franchise.

    Totally Jared, I read that a LOT of his role in SS has been cut and now he’s thinking of quitting acting and sticking to music . Hope it’s not because he thinks he sucks as a actor.

    Jared Leto.
    I LOVED Heath’s Joker. But I bet Jared did a great job. SQ premieres next week in my country so I still havent watched it but I’m his fan and, in his important roles, he did a great job. I do believe he is too perfectionist and perhaps that’s the reason of his “insecurity”

      Oh, I forgot. Heath Ledger is the Predecessor (among othres, but I think he’s really worried about this one in particular)
      And the role is, of course, the joker.

    This sounds like Jared Leto as the Joker.

    Heath Ledger for the recent & very intimidating predecessor.

    Jack Nicholson back in the day as well.

    Heath won’t ever be topped in that role. He made the joker feel very very VERY REAL- which is much more unnerving and enthralling than flashy fantasy IMO.

    PS what happened to the hot Jared Leto? His skinny strangeness is such a turnoff..

    Wild guess but I’m going with Jared Leto? So the predecessor is Heath Ledger, and everyone loved him as The Joker (<3). Since Jared's the joker in suicide squad and I think when he was revealed as the joker back then there was mixed response (I was excited as hell tho)? Still excited as hell for the movie

    I was tempted to say Jared Leto and the role is the Joker in “The Suicide Squad.” But the film hasn’t opened yet. There’s Zachary Quinto playing Spock in the “Star Trek” franchise but the only other person to play the role was Leonard Nimoy who originated it.

    Jared Leto as the joker. Will Smith is fellow actor in Suicide Squad. Heath Ledger was previous joker along with Jack N. and I forget who else. I can understand why he’s checking around on this one to be honest. Maybe he shouldn’t need to but I understand it with Heath having been brilliant and passed. He’d want to know he put his own spin that could hold its own.

    Jared Leto as the Joker in Suicide Squad. Mark Hamill plays the best Joker, but in terms of live action representationsrepresentations, Heath Ledger was the best in my opinion.

    [Optional] TBH it’s hard to choose. Leto’s seems the closest to Arkham Asylum style Joker…. but I did always like Nicholson’s one. Heath Ledger was fantastic, but I think his death did sort of make a hype around the character that it didn’t quite deserve.

    Previously played by Heath Ledger, who was amazing and I can completely understand being insecure about having to follow him in that role, even though it’s not technically a Batman film. Heath Ledger was best, I think, but I don’t know because I haven’t seen Suicide Squad.

    Optional: Heath Ledger of course, but I’m SUPER excited to see Jared in the role. I think he has the proper level of quirk and ability to play the rare villan that is pure evil in mania. You can’t fill Heath’s shoes, especially given the circumstances following that role, but I can’t see Leto being anything less than brilliant.

    Not sure yet, but there have been types of portrayals. Nicholson was an awesome cartoonish joker and Ledger was amazing as a psychotic Joker. So we’ll see with Leto.

      Yes, this! I couldn’t really see Ben Affleck as “quirky,” even though In other ways it seemed like it could be him. Jared Leto totally fits.
