[Blind Gossip] Once you are cast in a successful franchise film, you are guaranteed a part in the next chapter, right?
Not necessarily! Even if the quality of your acting is good, if people on the set don’t personally like you, you may not make it to the next film. This is especially true in ensemble films, where another actor can always take the lead next time.
This actor in a major franchise would be well-advised to adjust his attitude on set. He’s nice to the other principals… but treats the crew like dirt.
Not Alex Pettyfer or anyone from Magic Mike.

Could this be the male lead in the Divergence franchise? Forget his name but he is English like Alex Pettyfer, fair and looks kinda similar. Based on nothing more than this. Or Miles Teller in the same franchise, hit big in Whiplash

No Magic Mike leaves out whatsisprettyboiface pushing to be Gambit (stage+pink hoodie), and the questionable delays surrounding this franchise spinoff. I’ll go with Cavill, as he seems to have gotten more than a few questionable reviews on his “interview style/answers” of late, as opposed to anything concerning BvS.

The only thing that I stands out as a clue to me, is the use of the word ‘chapter’. I know Star Wars also gets listed in episodes but I hear it referred to in chapters a lot? Other than this, the only only films referred to in chapters, which is still ongoing, is Insidious.

Jessie Eisenberg, lex luther, superman vs batman
PlayItAgain says
I agree with this. Eisenberg’s poor treatment of crew members has been well documented lately. Cavill may not be the most expressive actor, but I’ve heard he’s generally polite to everyone on set. Eisenberg is a *.

This sounds like an ensemble cast franchise with no real plot link, so I would exclude Star Wars (they probably signed at least a 3 movie deal and reports about Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac and so on are pretty awesome. We are talking about professional people, not entitled brats).
Hence I would say someone from the Avengers (Renner?) or FF.
AuntieJulia says
Judging from people working with Adam Driver, this is really a big NO. He has always been described as extremely kind and professional.

SPOILER REGARDING WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IN CIVIL WAR MOVIE
the civil war movie is captain america but it seems like iron man is the main character and in the comic books captain dies and bucky (winter soldier ) takes over his place. So it could be bye bye for Chris evans

Don’t know who this is.. but I have a friend who was known for treating waitstaff like dirt on her shoe. Otherwise, she is a really good friend. No one knew how to talk to her about it. After one lunch, we received our checks. The waitress made notations on each check to differentiate us, she was new and I don’t think she knew these printed on the check. Mine said “grey scarf,” another check said “black sweater” etc. My rude friend’s check had “disrecspectful c**t” on it…
kcphilly says
^^^ That is awesome!! LOL. Did it serve as a wakeup call to your friend?
woowoo says
It did! She is extremely kind to waitstaff now. She claims she didn’t know she was being rude to them (lol… whatever), but it’s all good now.
DrunkyMcPuncherson says
Ha! That is fantastic. There is never a good reason to be an ass to someone who is performing a service for you, IMHO. It says a lot about the character of a person when they do that.
apeygirl says
Heh. As a former waitress, I wish I’d had the balls to do this just once with certain customers. I think there’s a special place in hell for people who treat people in jobs they consider “beneath them” like lower life forms. Sometimes you try you are slammed in those jobs and its impossible to do your best. I had people who were terrible tippers, but were so sweet that I didn’t care. I’d rather someone tip less than be demeaning or degrading.

Nice people tend to be easier and more pleasant to work with, which definitely plays a factor in building and sustaining a successful career. I find that what goes around often comes around, even if it doesn’t happen right away. if you treat the crew like crap, don’t assume the crew won’t clap back. just look at Katherine Heigl, shilling out cat food now! #karma

Sometimes in asserting your authority, you con’t come across as a nice guy but you don’t have to be a clown with everyone around you or your subordinates.

Ive met James McAvoy and can say without a doubt, he’s THE nicest celebrity I’ve ever met. He couldn’t have been any nicer to me (and my mum) and spent so much time talking to us and HE actually asked US if we wanted a picture altogether. Will never forget that.

Adam Driver’s character was killed in Star Wars, so it would be weird to bring him back anyway. Plus I love him and don’t want him to be a jerk.

Renner and the Marvel films. Hawkeye has not had his own film, and it was no big deal to replace Hulk. And those films are planned out through the end of my life it seems.
Eastwood and Suicide Squad. They announced a sequel recently.
Affleck and Batman v. Superman. I’m doubtful it’s him but given what he was going through at the time of filming who knows.

Just to be rando. Cause it’d be funny if true, means he didn’t learn the lesson the first time. They even altered the franchise timeline just to bring back the gorgeous Han.

I hope this is not the case. I had a lot of ppl tell me he was the sweetest & most gracious kid on the set of American Gothic. Although …Hollywood does tend to twist & taint.

Henry Cavall, Superman
KatarinaJ says
HE IS the movies. He is the star, Superman, definitely. Ensemble ones are more like the Twilight, Avengers, Star Stars, etc movies. They expressly say other actors could take the lead next time as a clue. Who would be the ‘other’ taking the lead in SUPERMAN?
Katmandu says
Henry Cavill? All I can say is, I’ve read dozens of books about Hollywood, and dozens of autobiographies, and the most successful people in the business are the ones who treat the working crew well. Eating lunch with them, gifting them when the film is over at the wrap party, taking an interest in their lives. The ones who demand no one make eye contact with them, who spend ever free minute in their trailers, who act like their poop don’t stink? Who can admire someone like that??
Jilliterate says
I think you got it. The dominant colours in the picture are red(ish) and blue, and you can see that the man in the picture has a tattoo on his chest — all things that point to Superman.
The line “but treats the crew like dirt” may be a reference to ‘Sand Castle’, which is one of Cavill’s upcoming films.
luvprue1 says
I second that. I think it ‘s Henry Carvel too.
