    One did when I asked him how could I help him, I just look at him and repeated my question. Because, I had no idea who he is. I heard around the store, a name, later I asked my daughter. She said, he is an actor in films that I don’t watch. Soon, I forgot who he is.

    no idea who this is (i’d guess nene over kelly ripa, though, because kelly’s pretty much a staple in nyc), but i love red rooster and have met marcus and he’s super nice.

    Lol. I don’t know who this is, but a reality person from a cable tv show with Bravo is delusional if she/he thinks they can play that card. Nobody can really pull the “do you know who I am” card. It just makes the individual look like a fool. But in particular, a Bravo fool pulling this…… Lol.

    Have no idea but this reminds me of a story my sister told me. She worked at a cafe at in Westwood (LA) that opened at 6am. Benefit del toro showed up early expecting her to open for him and she didn’t. He didn’t take it too well and left.

    Have no idea who Andy Cohen’s cronies are. But no one should ever use the phrase “don’t you know who I am?”. Its just pompous and insulting. And casts the orator as a classless has been.

    Bevy Smith does a radio show on Andy Cohen’s radio station and she lives in Harlem.

    She was cast on Fashion Queens, and after that was cancelled, Andy gave her a show on his SiriusXM channel AND she lives in Harlem and talks about dining out a lot on her show. She kind of has a diva personality (usually fun and irreverent rather than bitchy) and I can kind of see her saying this (maybe jokingly, maybe seriously).

    Just a comment to say that I love Marcus.

    One of the real housewives are to blame, I’m sure. Yikes.

    If a celebrity ever said that to me I would be like, “No, have we met before? Do you know who *I* am?”

    If they went as far as to explain to me who they were I would be like, “oh yeah, that! I heard [their claim to fame] f—ing suuuuuucked. If I were you I wouldn’t exactly be bragging about that. Bye.”

    I have absolutely who this is.

    Optional: If anyone said it to me, I’d make a point of not knowing who they were. And if they tried to explain it – I’d either 1) if the person was legit famous ie. brad pitt, etc: say “And I’m sure your mom is really proud of you, but around here you wait your turn”. 2) if the person is C or D list famous – pretend to not know who they were even after they explain it, and make fun of what they list as their “accomplishments”.

    Optional: I have been asked that. I responded by tilting my head to the side and innocently asking “the epitome of irrelevancy?” It helped that I wasn’t at work at the time though. Funny enough, I can’t remember who it was, so I must not have been that far off…

      Oh dear, I just realized how that sounds. I don’t mean that you have to be from Harlem to eat there! I just thought that, logically, she’d both be more likely to eat there and more likely to be recognized in her hometown. Also she a lil cray cray.

    Worked in Retail in LA 25 plus years ago.
    Sold many a sporting goods item to celebrities — even guns!
    Only once did a woman say that line to me.
    I responded, “A loud mouth want to be?” She got made and left.
    To this day, I have no idea “Who?” she was.
    Most really famous celebrities, don’t try to stand out, they just do and they are some of the politest people I ever met.

      Yes some but not kelly Ripa nor Leo DiCaprio – not nice

      What’s funny is that the most talented stars are somE of the nicest in my experience —the Beach Boys ( what down to earth great guys , wow, kind and nice to every single person –every one of them) and Nils Lofgren of Bruce Springsteen band ( although Bruce is not)
      Just kind and just so grateful to be able to play music

    I have rarely been star struck.Love when I encounter one at a charity function and pretend like they are no one when they try to pull the celeb card… then again, a few months before Michael Vick was busted for dog fighting, I had to give him a tour. Wasn’t told who he was…thought he was a rapper bc he was so short. I would LOVE to do that to Kanye, Kim K or Kim Z.

      Agreed! If I ever met a Kardashian I would pretend I had no idea who they were, and when they told me I would act completely indifferent. Celebrities are no better than anyone else, and people like KK need to be knocked down a few pegs.
