Cue The Wig

[Blind Gossip] A couple of years ago, this popular former young adult TV and film actress really hit bottom.

She did eventually get help (involuntarily) and has been attempting to make a comeback. Her reps say she is doing well and that 2018 will be a big year for her and is choosing among several acting projects.

Not so fast.

Someone who knows her conveyed to us that she is not, in fact, well at all. They also told us that it is easy to tell when she is on her meds or off her meds.

When she is off, she puts on a wig and those huge glasses. She does it because she gets very paranoid and thinks that those things hide her identity from people.

Yes, it is sad that she is not well. It is also sad when the people who are supposed to be helping her lie about it in order to try to get someone to hire her.

    Amanda Bynes. She should definitely stay the hell away from Hollywood & focus on her health. I do miss her crazy antics though.

    My kids grew up watching Amanda Bynes. So by default I saw her grow up. Such a shame. She seems a truly talented young woman but she may simply be too sensitive for Hollywood.

    amanda bynes, it’s sad that she isn’t doing well. She needs to surround herself with people who will put her health needs as a priority

    – was former child tv star
    – went off the deep end a while back wearing cheap looking wigs to court for her erratic driving/behavior
    – Been whispers again of her trying to make a “comeback”. Claiming she is mentally ill but is on appropriate medication and is ready to work again.
    – People are claiming the opposite, not wanting to take the meds, to not taking them at all due to “side effects”
    Optional: No, someone that mentally ill needs consistent long term help.

    Honestly Amanda Bynes should probably never work again. She seemed extremely mentally ill. You can’t miss even one dose. I hope she takes her pills regularly. You can’t just stop because you feel better.

    Amanda Bynes is my guess she’s been seen wearing huge glasses and wigs before. I’d say if she can’t stay sane in this industry she should probably leave it behind and keep whatever residual she’s getting.

    Optional: I guess if what they’re saying is true, she isn’t ready to go back. If she gets hired for something while going on/off her medication, it will be a tossup which Amanda shows up to the production each day and I can’t imagine studios/directors being that patient with her if that is the case. I hope she gets better.

    A regular work schedule could provide some stabilizing routine & structure, but that’s not really how the entertainment jobs work.

    And, if this is her, I feel like it’s her parents who are lying, trying to get her work, so that they can continue to sponge off of her!

    Oh dear, is this Amanda Bynes.? Whether she is ready for work surely depends on her condition. Maybe light work (small role), or different work could help her recovery? Otherwise she would be better off focusing on getting well.

    No, I think she should never work in Hollywood again. It’s too toxic and she’s too fragile, I’d hate to see a repeat of what happened to her.

    What happened to her? She always seemed so down to earth and capable from a very young age. She’s not only off her meds, she’s still off her rocker. Amanda needs to just walk away. Hollywood and life in the public eye can be cruel and unforgiving. She’s way too fragile to deal. Negative reviews, comments or internet trolls will send her over the edge. Unfortunately.. we’ll be reading tragic headlines about her.

    This has to be Amanda Bynes. Once you have bipolar disorder, it’s not like it miraculously disappears.

    Optional: no, it sounds like she isn’t ready to return to show business. She probably will never be. Being in a mentally healthy situation is much more important.

    Sad. I think it’s more than mental illness. I think she was caught up in the Hollywood sex scandal, got r*ped and that’s why she lost it.

      Or both. Good point though. She’s one who worries me. If she loves the work and it provides structure and purpose it can help but I agree only if (big IF) she has a strong support system to put her health first. Sounds like maybe not? I hope she won’t be yet another victim of HW.

    Amanda Bynes. So sad that she can’t stay on her meds. Mental illness is so hard to control.
    Unless she’s committed to staying on her meds, I wouldn’t risk giving her a role.

    Deffo Amanda Bynes. I love her but think she really needs to sort her health before getting back into acting. It’s already hard enough when you don’t have health deficits.

    Is this poor LiLo? I’d like her to work, as she’s very talented. Personally, I find work to be good for focus and discipline but who even knows with what celebrities consider work nowadays.

    she needs Britney Spears dad. I think her parents made grat job saving her, at some point it was really scary.

      She has kids, so this is probably better for everyone. There are so much evil people who are ready to use her- there has to be someone who takes care of her, or it will end tragic.

    Amanda Bynes. I thought I heard schizophrenia, which is degenerative, so no. Even if it’s bipolar, this will be difficult for her. The meds cause people to gain weight, Hollywood doesn’t like weight. The stress. I say absolutely not
